    Okay camera. Not so good at mounting.

    Quality of picture is good. HDR helps with dark rooms. Base and mounting is not adjustable enough to get good angles.

    Excellent video quality! Super easy to install. I decided on getting the wired one instead of the battery one because it was on sale and because I didn't plan on utilizing it outdoors. This was a great purchase and I feel very secured due to Google Nest Aware!

    The weakest part of this is the need to subscribe to a service for more than a day's worth of history, A local storage option would be nice. But it integrates well with all my other google stuff, the video quality is decent, and is easy to setup.

    Good Camera for a nice price, app leaves something to be desired. Great quality camera. Does not work with nest app, only the Google home app. Google home is a bit limited compared to Nest app.

    When the camera works, it has a good quality video. It’s fairly simple to use. Also Google is now finally taking steps to make its Home app more compatible with the older generation Nest cams. I did have some issues early on with the video from the camera going whacky. The issue is reported by other users. The fix appears to be aiming the camera lower so it doesn’t capture any of a room’s ceiling. It would be better if Google would fix the underlying issue.

    Despite the transition of apps to support the google ecosystem, this wasnt a bad upgrade. A little better quality picture and much wider view.

    With transitioning over from alexa things to the google cameras they made it easy. They can be a bit more pricey but they/ the whole google system is worth it. Since buying one, I can not stop buying google stuff.

    Camera has a wide view and has decent quality video. Night vision works ok. Talking through the camera works very well conpared to other cameras I have tried. Only two things stop this from being a five star product. 1. It has a facial recognition which is cool but when activated it constantly notifies your phone of someones presence even if you set it to recognize you. I figured the point was to alert you of strangers in your house but I guess not. 2. When zooming in, especially while night vision is activated, the video quality drops the more zoomed in you are.

      Hi Nicholas, thanks for sharing your insights. We´re sorry to hear that you are experiencing too many notifications for Nest Cam (Indoor, Wired), and that the quality drops when zooming with the night vision feature.

      We recommend combining the faces that were identified as different people. Here's how:
      - Open the Google Home app.
      - Tap Settings > And then Nest Aware And then Familiar face detection.
      - Start edit mode (two different ways):
      a. At the top right corner of the screen, tap Edit. Then, select the faces you want to merge.
      b. To select the first face in edit mode, touch and hold a face on the screen. Then, tap the other face you want to merge. Both faces are selected when you do this.
      - At the top right corner of the screen, tap Merge.

      Night vision range depends on how much light there is, and which camera or doorbell you have. Test your camera’s recorded or live video when it’s dark out and adjust its position, or add lighting if needed.

    Good camera updated design from the old Nest camera. The one thing I hate is that can’t use this with the Nest app. You have to use the Google Home app. Other than that, good for the price.

      The new Nest Cam (indoor, wired) is exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams. Our team is working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app so all of your cameras can be set up and controlled in one place.

    Best security camera out there on the market. It let you set up different zones to monitor for different things. And it can distinguish between little baby vs dogs. And it won’t notify again for the same person unless the time is far apart.

    Had to upgrade with the 2nd gen indoor camera was released. Better all around at a cheaper price. Wish this camera came with a battery back-up as the new outdoor camera. Communication is a little laggy sometimes but overall you can hear and be heard.

      Laggy issues may be related to the any of the following reasons below:
      - Possible congestion of your network. Removing some of your connected devices may free up some bandwidth space and enable you to test if the issue will happen again. Once you verify congestion, we recommend contacting your Internet service provider for a possible upgrade of your bandwidth connection.
      - Interference caused by electrical appliances and thick walls in your home. Placing your Nest Cam much closer to your router, or in a location where it can get better signal reception may be helpful.
