    I wasn't a huge fan, of this new camera, as it doesn't integrate with the other older nest cameras that I already have in my system unless you download a new app and add all of them to the new app.

      The new Nest Cameras and doorbells are exclusive to the Google Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with other Google Nest speakers and displays. We wanted to make the Google Home app as the one place you can control all your favorite Nest and other smart home devices with the Google Assistant.     Camera's not bad, It seems to lose its connection often and the battery life is not that good. Never mind it's overpriced.

    Ok for compatibility with Google products

    Camera works ok but it’s more expensive than similar items. I’m trying to stay with google products to work with my google hub. I would have chosen the ring option if it was compatible

    Great for what I need it for, but I have seen the reports of having black lines on the screen. That is true - unfortunately, but they go and come (must be bandwidth issue)

      This happens when the refresh frequency of the light source is close to the exposure rate of the camera. See some simple steps that may improve the camera’s image quality:
      - Ensure the camera is installed in a supported location and not in an area prone to overheat or direct sunlight.
      - If the light can be dimmed, set the brightness to a different level.
      - If possible, test a different brand and power level of light.
      - Adjust the camera field of view away from the light source.

      Also, Nest servers and the camera dynamically adjust the resolution of the video stream so that it matches the available bandwidth. When the network slows down, video resolution drops and when the network speeds up, video resolution increases. Wireless interference can give you trouble connecting Nest products or other wireless devices. It can also cause slow network communications or intermittent disconnections. So your Nest Cam might continuously disconnect and reconnect, or it may be slow to respond to app control.

    camera is a bit pricey and did not work as expected. was a bit hard to set up the camera and only worked intermittently.

    Video quality sub par.

    Surprised to find that the video quality is worse than a camera costing 1/3 as much. Must manually adjust the view. Frequently loses connection to wifi but reconnects quickly in most cases. There are times it must be rebooted to work properly. The good thing about this cam is it does stream from the Google nest hub max easily. I do not recommend it unless you are deep in the google ecosystem

      A range issue or wireless interference can affect the overall performance of your camera. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. You may also check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the camera and your router as these items could block the connection.       Also, you can adjust your cameras’ video quality that can improve the resolution. The higher the video quality setting you choose, the sharper and more detailed your footage can be, but it also uses more of your internet bandwidth. This setting lets you choose the maximum video quality for your cameras. And whichever level you pick, your camera will automatically adjust its resolution and compression according to how much bandwidth is available. You can visit the Google Nest Help Center to learn more on how to change the video quality.

    We replaced one of the first indoor cameras Nest had with this one. Quick and easy setup! Also, the quality of the video has improved tremendously.

    tried to use them for outdoor recording out a bedroom window and they did not work...tried to find the indoor/outdoor wired nest camera, but all you had was the one with the battery, which i do not want...Kinda disappointed with Nest, since being bought by google..not as good reception on their app.

    Thought it had more memory, it only allows for 3 hours of saved footage, very disappointing. Had I known that I would have selected another camera, bummer.

    Works, but not entirely intuitively- and alerts often lag the events by an hour or more. sometimes no alert at all. video and audio qal seem to be there, but the alerts...

      Delayed notifications can be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or devices nearby, and other Wi-FI settings.       Google Nest has long been focused on delivering quality products and giving value for the price to our customers, including three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. While there's no fee to stream live video along with the event history up to three hours in the past as well as to receive basic notifications, you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription to receive advanced features.
