Any cellphone camera beat this camera. It cant read a sign with 2in letters from 25 ft. It wont recognize a face unil you get closer than 20ft. Its best for close in work. Its marginally better than the Wyze camera, but has better bells and whistles.

In daylight with ideal lighting conditions, Google Nest cameras can see about as far as you can, and their wide angle lens has a field of vision almost as wide as the human eye. Nest Cam IQ Outdoor uses a 4K sensor to automatically zoom in and track, but would only do so if it detects people walking in front of your camera.
If you want to keep an eye at farther distances, there is a zoom-and-enhance feature which focuses the entire sensor on the area you’ve zoomed in on and can give you more details. This can be done either through the Nest app or web app using a computer browser.

Great to start then falls apart!

When I look for replacement parts no one responds. While the camera works well, the fact that the thing is now falling apart is an issue. Not sure about the newer models but clearly contacting the Manufacturer now is useless. Buyer beware.
