I got this smart doorbell because I had a package stolen in my neighborhood that I considered very safe. It was very easy to install and didn't take long either. I love the ability to monitor the video feed from my phone as well as the smart home connectivity to my Google Home devices. The doorbell will notify my Google Home speakers that someone is at the door and if you have a Google Home Hub, you can actually view it there. Being able to talk through the doorbell is handy, but I don't use this feature often. You get a small amount of storage for free to save video clips if you have to. Otherwise you can pay for the Nest services to get more cloud storage and more features out of the doorbell. I haven't had a package stolen since I made the decision to buy this.

That is the first one I have ever had, so I can't ccompare it with another one. But, I am satisfied with the image quality and the sound. In real time the video quality is very good but when watching the past videos it is a bit slow sometimes.

I have a bias for the Nest eco system. I have the thermostat and multiple outdoor cameras. The Nest Hello just goes one step further to learn people's faces, and it alerts my Google Home products. It's really fantastic. The only draw back is if your front door faces a street it will think cars are people and notify you each time. This isn't a huge deal because your smart phone will have a little 4 frame clip of what is at your door, and if something is happening you can view it on the Nest app. The night vision quality is incredible. I love this for my wife, it will say over the Google Home "Someone is at the door" when someone hits the ringer. Especially on the Google hub it will show up with a visual. Then you can use Google home to send an automated response through the doorbell that keeps it anonymous whether someone is home or not. You also have the choice to listen and speak live.

My family loves this doorbell. Installation was relatively easy. The only hang up that I had with installation was that I found out my existing door chime didn't work with this. I ended up going out and buying a new door chime. That took care of the problem. The picture quality is excellent and my wife and I both get a notification when someone is at the door or moved in the zone that Inset up. We are currently on the free trial for the nest aware and so far it's been great because we can use the familiar face option so when someone comes to the door and rings the bell, our google home will tell us who is at the door. We will definitely be purchasing the yearly subscription. I really like the ease of use through the Nest app and I like how everything is connected to our google assistant devices so we can use the additional features. This has been fun to use and explore because of the cool features that it has.

I need to change my doorbell chime in my house and decided to upgrade. Installing the Google nest in the same location as my previous doorbell was a breeze. I changed out my doorbell transformer to be safe to make sure I had enough power. A simple Google search will find videos to teach you how to do this. Amazon had lots of options to choose from in terms of new transformers for smart doorbells. I chose to install it without a new chime system which I have readily found instructions on the Internet to help me. If you’re keeping your chime, The app walked you through install with videos and screenshots. I chose to integrate mine with my Google Home which is announces visitors now. The price is a little steep but the overall quality of the video is worth it!

When I purchased this, the form factor was much sleeker than any of the offerings from other manufacturers. I really didn't want an eyesore on the front of my house and this fit the bill well. Video quality is great. Just keep in mind that any of these cloud-first video products chew up a lot of bandwidth sending video back to the mothership - so if your internet connection isn't the best - look for something that doesn't rely on the cloud to save the video. Another big selling point for this one for me was that I already have Nest Protects and a Nest Thermostat in my home - so it lets me manage things from an app I already have installed on my phone rather than having to add another one. The ability to turn off the doorbell on the inside of the house was also nice for when our toddler is napping.

My wife and I bought this doorbell camera after we someone was breaking into cars in our neighborhood. We installed ourselves, which was very easy. The first things we noticed were how crisp the picture is, and how wide the camera angles is! The sensors are accurate, and we are only alerted when it recognizes a person (It also detects sound and motion). There is two-way communication, so you can speak to the person at the door through the app. What I found convenient, was that I was able to see faces on my Apple Watch! So far, this has been a great purchase that has worked flawlessly. I would recommend to anyone thinking about beefing up their security.

Neat offers great security which ties into their other products. You can install very easily if you have a prior door bell. Picture is clear watch out for other brands which try to copy the door bell design they are not the same.

Installation is simple with an existing doorbell. The quality level if picture is also great. The paid subscription is what really makes it useful, it allows video clips for motion or person detection. Also you can go back a few days. Without the subscription it’s still ok but not worth the cost of camera compared to others.

This is has been a great add to my smarthome. It's my first doorbeel cam but the installation was fairly simple, and the video quality has been good. It seems Google is spending a lot of effort to integrate the Nest app into the Home app. I haven't had a doorbell cam previously so a little hard to compare but I haven't regretted the purchase at all. It gives me some peace of mind while we are away on vacation especially but is also good for keeping tabs on packages and visitors. It's probably a more expensive option than some others and it's not the newest but the quality is rock solid. A lot of features require a subscription but I didn't feel it was overly expensive especially if you have other Nest cameras.

So easy to install. I was very pleased with how it lined up to the original doorbell's screw holes. I previously had a Ring doorbell, but was very disappointed that I had to drill a new hole in the outside wall to install it. The Nest doorbell has been so much better than the ring. Quality of the camera is much higher and unlike the ring, it keeps the connection to my network flawlessly. Ring also never made my mechanical doorbell ring, but that is not an issue at all with the Nest. I could not be happier with my decision to upgrade to this doorbell.

This is an amazing product. I installed it myself with instrcutions and a vdo. Had to purchase a base with an angle to get the right view. Over all love it.

So I am a big Nest fan and have converted most of my home to their products. This last addition has been by far the best. I have been using a standard nest outdoor cam for my front door security and it has been great. I could also talk through it and hear reponses... but I now know it had limitations. The nest hello doorbell/cam gives me a much better image, wider view of my porch and it also allows two way communication without having to switch on and off the microphone! Now I can talk with guests and hear their responses when I am not home or unable to get to the door. Installation was a breeze and took maybe 15 minutes or less. If you are considering a camera for added security on your front porch then look no further. It's well worth the price tag! Now I moved the Outdoor Cam to my back door so I have coverage on both entry points!

The installation was easy and straight forward. Initially I was worried that my current doorbell transformer did not put out enough power. The lights after installation did not light as described. But then it connected to wifi and starting working without issue. I really liked what the app was showing me initially and enough that I went back and also bought the Nest outdoor security camera. But now the only time the app alerts me is when someone actually rings the doorbell and all notifications are set as they should be. It used to notify any time a person came in range, especially an unrecognized person. I am not sure yet if it is part of the ploy to get you to get Nest service. Reason I went with Nest over other brands was that you get the 30sec or so of motion recording with each detection and the app keeps it for 5 or 7 days, where other brands where just a snapshot unless you had their service. That's where the issue is, other services charge the same for unlimited devices as what Nest charges for a single device for their cloud services.

This is a great doorbell camera. Install was super easy and it took only about 20 mins. Clear instructions. The picture quality is great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because user interface could be a little better and sometimes there is a lag from when a person rings the doorbell to notification.

The install was pretty easy. Just make sure you have a transformer that supplies the minimum 16V 10A of power. If you don’t, you’ll experience an inferior experience (my doorbell chime was very low when I initially was using a 10V 5A transformer but that was fixed after swapping out the transformer to something with more power). The doorbell itself is beautifully designed and works very well. The Nest app gives you some customization options (like turning off the green LED light when the camera is on, disabling the indoor chime if desired, etc). An angled mount is included if you’re mounting in corner which came in handy. Nest Aware gives you the ability to have a nice way to review your video recordings over a period of time and works pretty well. Great addition to a smart home.

Excellent performance & an incredible picture. Easy to install and the instructions on line are excellent. It is obvious to anyone who approaches the door which is good from a security perspective. There is a slight voice delay.

Great doorbell camera. I went with this camera because it doubles as a 24/7 security camera. The quality of the video is amazing and the sound this thing can pick up is impressive and almost stalker status haha. Very little lag in the notifications. Set up was fairly easy and the box even included a masonry bit for drilling into brick etc. Very nice touch there! My only complaint is having to go the extra step to install the chime adapter. I get why they include it but I think you should be able to bypass this if you want. I cant fit the whole thing in the chime box so now I have the module on the wall next to the box. Not the greatest...

We already have a Nest thermostat and various Nest hub and minis in the house. When it came time to upgrade our Ring doorbell we decided to stay in the Google/Nest world and I'm glad we did. Coming from the battery Ring product I was concerned about the hard-wired install. Turns out the install was super smooth and I had it unboxed and working in less than an hour. Now I no longer have to worry about charging the device. It connects quickly when it found our existing Nest Hub and the integration is seamless. We like that the picture comes up on the Hubs when someone is at the door and we can speak with them. The video quality is far superior to our old Ring doorbell and the sound is clear.
