We already have a Nest thermostat and various Nest hub and minis in the house. When it came time to upgrade our Ring doorbell we decided to stay in the Google/Nest world and I'm glad we did. Coming from the battery Ring product I was concerned about the hard-wired install. Turns out the install was super smooth and I had it unboxed and working in less than an hour. Now I no longer have to worry about charging the device. It connects quickly when it found our existing Nest Hub and the integration is seamless. We like that the picture comes up on the Hubs when someone is at the door and we can speak with them. The video quality is far superior to our old Ring doorbell and the sound is clear.

I had a Kuna porch light camera but Kuna customer service was no help when the bluetooth broke. So now I'm a Nest Doorbell customer. I was worried this wouldn't work with my old 1940s doorbell wiring but it was easy to install myself. The doorbell also faces across the doorway to another wall so I was worried about what I would be able to see through the camera. I purchased an angled bracket from Amazon and used it along with the wedge that comes with the product to make a 45 degree angle and it works really well. I love the facial recognition feature.

I bought this because I already had a Nest thermostat and thought it would be just as easy to integrate with my network. Very easy to install, and the camera quality is great. I set it up to get notifications whenever the doorbell is pressed or someone enters my predefined zone, and it works great. I also have it detecting sound and motion so that is recorded as well. I'm able to watch the day's triggered videos without any subscription. I can view live video and communicate through the device without any problems. If you really want to watch 24 hours of video, you can subscribe but I don't see the need for it, at least where I am. Very happy with the quality of the video and it's overall performance.

We just purchased a new home and went with the Google Nest Doorbell since it was compatible with all our other Google and smart devices inside the home. We had the Ring doorbell at our previous home and the video quality the Nest has in my opinion is far superior! My husband was able to install it pretty quickly after viewing a quick video tutorial. The original one we purchased was defective but we called customer service and they were able to confirm it was the device - we took it straight back to Best Buy for an exchange and the 2nd one had no issues. So far everything has been great and we have been recommending it to everyone who asks!

Absolutely a quality device with great images. Installation was easy as was connecting the device inside on my doorbell box. The selection of ring tones is limited. Sadly for both ring tones and 2 way talk there's not a way to increase the volume and they're barely audible. The facial recognition feature doesn't seem to work at all, despite that I've given it 'permission'. The recording data plan is worth it at 5 bucks a month, but don't think I'd pay more than that for what it does. Overall very pleased with the quality, performance and value, even though this is a product with some room for improvement, it's better than many of the others on the market.

TOP NOTCHED CAMERA DOORBELL IN THE MARKET! Does what it suppose to do! However, for those with a NuTone Intercom built-in home. The chime connector will NOT BE compatible. I had to call in the OnTech servicer and paid a fee for it to be installed with a transformer due to the intercom. You've been warn, if you have a NUTONE INTERCOM you need to hire a professional for installation - unless, you're a genius in doing it yourself. Once it's installed, works FLAWLESSLY! Nest Aware trial ended a few days ago, worth the $6/per nest device on continuous recording within their google cloud.

I love the Nest video doorbell. For months, I researched the Nest and Ring video doorbell systems, and am pleased with my selection. The HDR video feed is not fuzzy and when a person or motion comes within view of the camera the video output is clear and decipherable. We have our doorbell synced with the Google Home Hub, so when someone rings the doorbell it alerts us that someone is at the front door. There is a feature in the cloud which can detect familiar faces, that I think is cool, although it has identified faces that it has seen before as an unfamiliar face. Lastly, the set up for the doorbell was easy, and there were a ton of helpful tools, so we did not require a Nest professional to assist.

I have a google home system that is why I purchased this door bell. The price was a little more expensive compared to its other competitors. I would say it was worth it. It is not an easy set up if you are not familiar with some basic electrical wiring, but If you follow the instructions and advice online, everything will work fine. My advice is to make sure to do a research of the product if it is compatible to your house doorbell before you buy it. About the video, it is clear and a lot better that the simplisafe doorbell cam. It can detect motion and will notify you if there is anyone at your front door. It can also be a good outdoor security cam depends on the position of the doorbell. Overall, for 3 weeks use, I'm a satisfied customer.

The night vision on this cam is very cloudy; however, I leave my lights on in the front so it keeps the camera from having to enter that mode. I actually turned off night vision for now because it is horrible. Maybe I should call Google to see if they can troubleshoot. My Ring Pro never looked that bad. HOWEVER, I love this camera way more. It looks fancier than the Ring and it functions better to me honestly. I have the Google suite of products so it made sense for me to switch. This is a very nice camera. I love that it tells you when a package is left in it's view. It will also tell you when it has been picked up. So You can get instant notification if someone swipes your package. It also has familiar face detection, which is interesting.

I really like the video quality, how easy it was to add to the Nest app and other capabilities. Got it during Black Friday at a good value. My biggest issues were that it wasn’t capatible with my mechanical doorbell (not Google’s fault) so using my Sonos Beam and Nest Mini as the chime. Works pretty well. Other issue, more so with Best Buy was they installed the unit. My electrician tried to troubleshoot the chime issue and we couldn’t remove it from the front door due to how it was installed. They also kept the instrument to dislodge the doorbell. If not for the installation issues, I think this is a great doorbell that does the trick.

Great value doorbell camera! It functions well. Although I would want to have one single app to monitor vs 2 apps

The doorbell was very easy to install. It was a simple process to add it to my Google Home app. I can get all notifications for anything that comes near my door. The bell rings on my phone and all Google products I own

I purchased this to replace my Ring video doorbell as I got tired of not working the sound is horrible and the night vision was worse. The quality and the speaker you use to talk thru is ABOVE expectation. The night vision is so clear and crisp I can see my neighbor across the streets front door at ease. Im so happy I made the change and will not be buying any ring video.doorbells in the future. Hands down this is the best video dorbell for the quality. You won't be disappointed.

Picture is great, facial recognition, Zones, sees brilliantly in the dark, insanely sensitive mic, and the software that makes it all work gets better and better; and it’s already great.

Thus far, I am a fan. The camera is great. I love that it picks up sound, movement and people. I also love the facial recognition feature. Pricey, but worth it.

Installation of the actual camera was a breeze. I live in a house build in the 50s so the door bell system had to be slightly upgraded before the Nest Doorbell would work. I had to change the transformer yo a newer and more powerful one. It was pretty simple but I would consider myself pretty handy. Hopefully your door bell system will work. Once installed, the camera worked wonderfully. The resolution was very clear. I especially love the iOS Nest Application as it is easy to navigate and use. Downloading video clips are a breeze! I highly recommend this camera.

Ive had the nest hello about 2 months or so --- install was very simple the app will walk you through step by step or you can go to youtube which has many many guides --- picture is clear day or night ---- i recommend pair with a nice smart led bulb for your porch light for the best picture that way you can control the light on and off when you need a good visual and you dont wanna yse night vision , which works okay but i prefer a color image myself.-- as far as why its not 5 star is the app itself sometime is slow to open regardless if im on home wifi or out and about , has a couple second delay sometimes , and it does have facial recognition but it needs some work other random notes it does have a pretty cool intercom feature that you can use to talk to people at the door " hey dad , keys are under the mat ." was one of the coolest things I've done in a while

Electrician installed two Nest doorbells, front and back door a few days ago. Great wide angle camera which is sensitive to motion and sounds. Captures cars passing by, birds, bats, and moths at night. Camera is sensitive to sounds like neighbor's dog barking, car alarms, and delivery trucks. Video quality is great. Night vision is impressive. Without a porch light on, can see greater distance. Still getting used to it, but overall very happy with purchase. This was recommended by a friend and it meets expectations.

The video doorbell was easy to install and easy to get started using. Works great. Very useful for us since our front door does not have a peephole. Great for added security.
