Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first was skeptical, but wanted something that I could use with my Google home units. I already had the Nest thermostat so figured I'd stay with the same ecosystem. Was very easy to install (must be hard wired, not for wireless use) and was easy to use. The videos available for feature use and installation was useful. Comes with everything needed for installation. The night mode can be activated on and off, good speaker/mic quality and you can set up for notifications to be sent via text when ever the unit detects motion or sound. The 30 day trial for 24/7 uploaded recording is a nice feature, definitely recommend this unit

Easy setup, chime might not work.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this doorbell. The picture quality is excellent and the app is super easy to use. Installation was also a breeze. However, please note that even if your transformer has the proper voltage rating, your indoor chime might not work. Ours rang really weird after initial installation and doesn’t ring anymore. A quick google search revealed several people with the same issue. Seems you might have to upgrade the transformer, even if yours is rated per specs. Not a huge issue for us, it rings through our multiple google devices anyway so we just turned off the chime.

See & Don't See
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera picks everything! Bats, birds, insects. Sound/Speaking quality is crystal clear. Great camera quality night and day. I see things going on in my neighborhood that I never knew exist. Camera captured a crime in progress right in front of my house. Not feeling great about the neighborhood... Face recognition is awesome and eay installation, 20 minutes. I have one log in account for my home and able to flip over and see my daughter's camera at her home. Better than RING!

Ok but better when subscribed to Nest Aware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First Connected Doorbell for me and I’m pretty happy with it. Easy install on my 10 yr old home as I didn’t have to do too much messing with the wiring. The instructions on the app are very easy to follow so save some money and don’t spend on hiring a “professional” to install it. Video Quality is awesome but there is a little bit of a delay when watching the camera feed on your home as well as the notifications. All the better features such as recording clips, face recognition and multi day activity videos are locked behind a pay wall subscription to nest aware. You can get a 30 day free trial to check it out and after that the plans start at $5 per month. It’s worth it in my opinion and definitely makes this device with having in your home.

Outstanding doorbell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll start this by saying that this doorbell was a replacement for a Skybell HD doorbell that worked well and would recommend had it not had known issues with my current WiFi router that just couldn't be fixed it seems. I went with the Nest Hello due to the fact I already had their cameras, smoke detectors, and thermostats. Seemed like a no brainier and I'm very happy with the switch. Having the camera feed in the same App makes things simple and the video is amazing. The IQ part with facial recognition and announcement via Google home or phone notification is always very cool. Overall, very easy install and have had no issues.

Picture quality is amazing
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went with the best because of how discreet this video door bell is compared to the ring, and the picture quality is much better. There is a subscription that you can buy into if you want the extra features like facial recognition and longer recording options but the free version works just fine as well. The nest keeps me posted on what’s going on outside of my home and sends alerts quickly. I set it up myself and installing the camera is simple

Much better then ring
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaces my ring and I can’t believe the difference better picture quality faster alerts easier install. Worth the money only hope upgrades include recording persons voice inside the house not just person at front door. Works great with a nest hub. Recommend getting the hub so when someone is at the front door it automatically comes up on hub no need for iPhone or app.

Great camera and doorbell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nest Hello is a great video doorbell. The daytime video is very clear with plenty of detail and the night vision is very good as well. The two way audio is good but does take a little practice to get right due to a small delay on both the incoming (from your visitor) and outgoing (your response) audio. Installation was a breeze as well as the setup/confit using the Nest app on my iPhone. The only negative in the whole deal is the cost Nest charges for the video storage. You get 30 days free then have to pay a yearly fee to maintain the 5 days worth of history.

LOVE IT!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love my nest doorbell. The picture is so clear and the clarity is wonderful. It was not difficult to install. I was able to install it without professional assistance. They recommend you have a professional do it but the app is so amazing with the installation instructions it walks you through ever step. I was able to do the entire thing by myself while my husband was at work. The night vision is very good. And I have already managed to catch a shooting star because of the motion alerts! Pretty awesome. The app is great too. Very user friendly

Great camera and range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can change the angle of the camera and also talk to someone who comes to your door. The view is clear. You can set it for any motion or just people and those that use the doorbell. The motion sensor is sensitive so cars that pass in the street will send you a notification. I turned mine off since I live on a corner street. Even the night vision is great. It will give you the temperature outside as will as weather condition (cloudy, sunny, etc.) It was easy to install. The video on youtube was very helpful. I would recommend to anyone.

Well worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first video doorbell. Installation: Amazingly easy. Connection to WiFi: First time, no problems. Quality of image: Seems really good. Night images are excellent. Sensitivity: Excellent. Differentiates between motion and people amazingly well. Issues: None. I do notice that it doesn't seem to pick up all of the motion -- but that's at the street. Other notes: Connecting to Google Home works well. Also able to connect to Google Assistant via

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously had an Arlo. The video was slightly better than the Nest. That was the only thing better. The nest setup and installation was much easier. The access to my router was far better. The Arlo system was very fussy with routers, I wasted a lot of tine when I had to change routers. No problem with the Nest system. Familiar face recognition is nice

amazing camera with great features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera was easy to install on 2018 built home. wiring was compatible so makes it easy. Quality of the video is great, night vision is great as well. Features of the camera are amazing including 5 days of recorded video, facial recognition and name announcement based on facial recognition. So once you store "wife" for example, when "wife" rings the doorbell you can have alexa or google assistant to announce "Wife is at the doorbell". These are great features but do require nest subscription which is $5 a month.

just what I wanted
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been eyeing this for awhile now and it finally went on sale for $150 during Thanksgiving weekend. This is my 2nd Nest product and installation was just as easy as the Thermostat. Integration with the application was simple and easy to navigate. Quality and looks is what you expect. Video quality is great and I feel some sort of security having this doorbell installed. Notification delay could be improved but still functional. This is an item I would recommend to others!

Superior to the Ring in every way
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought a Ring doorbell camera because I thought the quality was likely the same and I wanted the cheaper option. Three doorbells later (you can go to the product to see my full review), I gave up and purchased the Nest. Set up is easy and straightforward. I appreciate that everything is included so I don't even have to bother finding tools. Setting it up in the app is so easy your grandma could do it (without calling you!). I love the custom motion zones - it ignores our garden flag but notifies us when delivery men - and the neighbor's cat, are at the door. We don't use facial recognition but I can imagine that if you have a lot of visitors that'd be nice. I went ahead and bought the rest of the security suite and was lucky enough to get a free Google Hub as part of a promo. It works together like a dream. The speaker is loud enough that I was able to talk to the neighbor kid and place a cookie order when I wasn't even home. The alerts to my phone are timely (usually within a few seconds of motion detection). I know that my husband is home before he even puts the key in the door. I use this doorbell to ignore solicitors and be generally antisocial. Hear a loud noise outside and want to check it out from your couch? Buy this doorbell. I like that it offers pretty cheap 24 hour recording (I paid for 5 day storage). My husband parks on the street about 30 feet in front of the house and though I don't ever anticipate needing it, we can easily watch his car via the camera. It kicks over to night vision automatically (though we do get an activity alert every time this happens), and maintains good resolution. The user interface is easy to manage and I like that you can program it to play seasonal ringtones. 10/10 would buy again.

Wow. It really works.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation was surprisingly simple. It looks intimidating but it really isn’t. Video quality is great and the doorbell itself looks really nice. Yes it’s a little on the pricey side but you’re really getting what you pay for. My only gripe is that to make this thing really really useful you basically need to subscribe to the nest aware to get the continuous video recording and smart alerts. But at $5 a month I’ll get over it to have total peace of mind and an awesome smart doorbell.

Nice Doorbell - watch out for the bandwidth usage
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR; - Elegant looking doorbell - best one out there - Easy installation - Works great - Watch out for the video bandwidth usage REVIEW We finally decided to take the plunge into the world of smart WiFi doorbells with video to keep an eye on things. After looking at the various options out there, I decided to go with the Google Nest Hello. I’ve had a very good experience with my Nest Thermostat, and I liked the idea of having one app that controlled both devices. The Nest Hello app does a great job of walking you through the installation process; including how to determine if you have the correct wiring and power to run the Nest Hello. During the setup, the app alerted me that the transformer for my original doorbell was only 5 volts, which isn’t enough to power the Nest Hello. By “alerted me”, I mean that it told me to look at how many volts my transformer would output. The Nest Hello requires something in the 12 to 16 volt range if I recall correctly. Understandably, the Nest Hello app tells you that if you don’t meet their requirements, you should buy their power adapter. I get it, they don’t want the liability of telling someone to change their power transformer. However, I did not like their option of having another power supply being plugged into a wall outlet and then punching a hole in the wall to get it to the Nest Hello outside. A quick trip to Home Depot and $16 later, I had a transformer that met the requirements. If you are handy and a DIYer, you’ll have no trouble installing the transformer if needed. It’s a great option to keep all of the wires hidden in your wall. The device was very easy to setup via the app and does a great job of alerting us when there is activity at our door. The number of alerts you get may or may not bother you, but you can adjust them. You can also create a custom zone so the camera doesn’t catch activity like a car driving by. My only complaint with the Nest Hello is that it uses a lot of bandwidth to transfer the video to the Nest service. I have two teenagers and for the past 3 years, I’ve never received a notice from my ISP that I’ve used my full bandwidth cap. That’s with two teenagers streaming NetFlix and YouTube constantly. But within 1 week of having this up and running, I got an alert that I was at 80% of my bandwidth allowance. Two days later, I had exceeded it and had to pay more money to my ISP. You can adjust the quality of the video that is recorded and drop it down (or adjust it up if you so desire). I wish that the setup wizard gave me this choice in during setup rather than having to look for it later. That aside, I’d recommend the Nest Hello to anyone looking for a video doorbell.

Excellent Quality Video Doorbell
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching several video doorbells, I chose this Google Nest Hello Video doorbell. The video quality is the best out of what's available today. Even keeping my front door light off, the video quality is amazing. I hardwired this in quickly and downloaded the Nest app and got this set up in no time at all. It records 24/7, gives alerts for motion and people and noise. I recommend this Google Nest Video Doorbell.
