Super easy to set up. I was able to do it all by myself so there’s no need for an installer. Good camera quality and the 2-way sound quality. Notify you every time it detects motion, sound, person, etc. One thing is that there is about a 15 sec delay until it notifies you when a person is detected, which I find is the only flaw. Overall great doorbell with multifunction.

I purchased this older gen 1 technology over the new Nest Doorbell Battery unit as I wanted 24x7 recording at our front door. This doorbell is much better than the Ring doorbell we were using as its field of view is much wider and taller than the Ring's. We can actually see people walking up to the front door as before, we couldn't see the person until they were at the door and you couldn't see their face if they stood beside the Ring doorbell. Our doorbell wiring is 90 degrees from the front door and doesn't have a direct view leading up to the door so it makes it harder to capture the person approaching. This unit has Nest's facial recognition too, so you can start programming it with people you know that comes to the door. It will then notify you that a person you know (including the name you give it) in the notifications. The detection is pretty fast and the notifications take a few seconds to reach your phone. It was pretty easy to setup and the quality of the unit is very good. Based on the reviews of the new battery unit, I think this was a better unit for us for what we wanted and got it at the Black Friday price so it was better value.

Bought this video doorbell for some peace of mind when away from home. The installation was soooo easy, I'm glad I didn't hire an electrician. Would have felt foolish. Just downlaod the app and it walks you through everything step by step. The image clarity is outstanding, and the night vision is nothing short of remarkable. My only wishes are that the camera had more vertical coverage to see the porch floor for packages, and that recording would start just a second earlier when a person walks into the field of view. Horizontal coverage is more than adequate.

This doorbell had a great easy install with newer home wiring. The video and audio quality is great! viewing the video remotely is a great feature and functions great. please note that video recording does have monthly fee of $5 a month and records 5 days of video on the cloud. this is cheapest option. without the $5 a month, no recording is done. only live feed, no face recognition either. Face recognition works amazingly well!

I love this doorbell - it’s sleek, easy to use, and great quality. Simple installation (took ~20 minutes) and strong wifi antenna. No issues with speed or performance. Only complaint would be occasional latency in the Nest app. Very attractive design - doesn’t not scream SMART DEVICE - and some fun, seasonal ring tones. Very solid Google Home integration, too (announcing faces, USPS delivery, etc)

This smart doorbell works great. It gives me great view of my front porch detects people as they approach my front door and gives me a wide area to zoom in and out on. It provides great video which it saves for 5 days if u pay for monthly or yearly subscription. You can get longer than 5 days if you choose a higher subscription but $50.00 for 5 days if sufficient for my needs. definitely a great product

Hi, So the past few months i have been debating on buying this product due to cost. I have security cameras on my house but nothing covering my front door/porch/yard area really well. So I broke down and bought this one 8/3/2018, installed my self Followed instructions, Plus side i like to this it was hard wired into my existing doorbell system, took me about an hour to do it, The product comes with everything you need to make a easy transition from old doorbell to this. This gives excellent Coverage, its on my the nest app with my 2 thermostats and smoke alarm, easy to set up. defiantly recommend if you have nest products.

Great doorbell to integrate with other Google Nest devices. This unit functionality is great and is straightforward to install, set up and use. Where it falls short is when looking at the competition. Other companies offer the smart doorbell with a greater range of feature/functionality for a similar price. Overall, good unit and would buy again.

Easy to install with great results. Straight forward install, only a little mix up with the app set up because Google has taken over Nest. Best to just go through Google Home directly to save confussion (instructions included said to go through Nest and migrate into Google..that is not way to go). Fantastic video and clarity during the day with superb night vision.

This produces clear video without all of the false positives I received from a brand I used before. Setup was fast and easy. I love the fact that it lets me know when a package is seen on my porch and when it has been received and by who. The ability to save common faces is a great feature that I never knew I was missing before I had it.

The door bell instructions included a video link to ensure success broken down into simple steps and no surprises. The box came with everything you might need and then some. The company considered all the most common installation problems you might encounter, like short wall wires (provided extensions), mismarked (provided clear video what ifs), existing door bell against a corner wall (angle mounting bracket to put lenses in right spot), and so on. The fact is my existing door bell was mounted sideways do to door windows so I needed to add a small block of wood to turn the new button 90 degrees (the two options they included was straight and 45 degrees) but mine was unusually. Ez fix I just grab a small block of wood and cut a hole half way through two sides making a turn in the middle and fed my wall wires through it. They were long enough but if they weren't the extenders the conpanybprovided would have been a life saver. This company tries to think of everything and I bet if I sent them a photo of my situation they would develop a 90 degree mounting bracket too, for the future. The camera is clear, precise, sensitive, and can have hot spots programmed. This is a great buy. I am going to put a door bell transformer on my shed and other areas of the house (rear corners etc.. just to use this type of camera over the bug chunky ones that never last long.

Picture is clear, motion detecter is flawless. Nightime picture is excellent. Chime works in main room. Best of all I have a google mini which was simple to connect to the nest and tells me when someone is at the door when I am in a different room. I'll probably get another google mini for other parts of our home. Nest is the best particularly with the 5 day record subscription.

I bought this for my new house. I already owned other nest products and since they have always offered quality products, I decided to try this one as well. The device looks great and functions just as well. The image is crisp and clear and the alerts on my phone are very easy to understand. I installed this myself and installation was also very easy and straight forward.

24/7 recording make this the best doorbell you can get. When someone rings the bell it can instantly open the video on your iPhone if you want. From there you can talk or use prerecorded default messages to speak with the person at the door. 24/7 recording means you see all the action not just clips of what AI thinks is relevant. Install was easy and I did it in under 30 minutes, at one point I needed help as you have to hold and screw some wires in. this could possibly have been done solo, it just would have taken longer. I would recommend fast WIFI, mesh systems work great here. To get the most out of this you will need to subscribe to nest aware which currently can be as little as $5 a month for 24/7 5 day video recording. If you don’t use nest aware it will only keep footage of the past 3 hours or so. You will get a free 30 day trial of Nest Aware when you install the hello so you can test it out with all the bells and whistles. This was my 4th google/nest camera purchase and i have been extremely pleased so far. Current google/nest users should know Starting in 2020 Google will be offering cheaper plans for users of multi cameras which will provide more savings for more cameras.

Have Nest indoor cameras, so I wanted to match technology. Love how it notifies us online when someone comes to the door. No false alarms with animals, has been installed for 1.5 years. Good clear pictures. My only negative is Google has made the transfer from a Nest account to be very user unfriendly!

Camera is great in capturing all activity and motion in front of my house. The camera quality is very good and the night vision is good as well. The app works great with the doorbell and interactions with a guest at the door is easy through the app. Installation is extremely easy for one with no experience, the step by step guide is easy to follow.

I decided to switch from the Vivint Video Doorbell that came with my security system. This thing is leaps and bounds better than that device. The facial recognition is incredible, and the motion detection is far more robust. Installation was incredibly easy, and the aesthetics are great, as well. I cannot recommend this camera enough! Glad I picked this over the Ring.

This Doorbell is amazing. I now have a great sense of security when leaving the house, we all have that as we never actually know what happens when we leave our home when we leave unless we have cameras. Love how I can get notifications when my doorbell sees people on the front door and even talk to them directly via a phone or google smart display. To add to that the google assistant can even show you the doorbell on smart display when someone rings your doorbell. Did I mention this thing can even learn and recognize faces too? Now the face recognition could use some work, but it’s still really cool though I must mention it requires $5 subscription to Nest aware for face recognition AND package recognition. Yes this means it can see where a package is delivered and picked up, so porch pirates have met their match now. This camera also has a very wide field of view which I love. Overall best one I’ve seen in my opinion, and forgot to mention the setup is so detailed even a 5 year old could install it with supervision hahah. Great product, must have!

My husband easily installed the Nest doorbell and I love it. We can easily see who is at the door, and talk to them using the app. It has a clear picture during the day and black and white at night. We bought it on Black Friday, so we got a good discount.
