I purchased the Next gen 3 thermostat on a Sunday morning from Best Buy and it was delivered THE SAME DAY for free! Wow! Installation was super simple. Luckily I had an extra "C" wire not being used so I was able to attach that to the thermostat and on the furnace board to power the unit. Setup was easy and I loved how the screwdriver even had a magnet end to hold the screws a bit. App setup was smooth. No issues connecting to our wireless. Only thing that hung me up for a couple minutes was not knowing how to "select" the options one the screen. Turning the dial was ok, but I learned from a video online that to select you press around the sides of the display. Ah!!! That could have been better communicated maybe with a sticker on the device. System is so smart. It can run the fan a bit after the AC turns off to help push out remaining cool air. Doing the schedules on the app is pretty straightforward. It can give alerts if temp is too high or low and change the temps accordingly. This is going to be awesome.

I am a HVAC service technician, I enjoy installing the Nest products because of their ease of installation and detailed settings that allows for customized setups for different customers.

I was worried that setting this up would be difficult, but luckily the install guide was very helpful. The thermostat looks great, and works like a charm. There was a short period after the initial charge session where it read a little hotter than the air actually was, but it did cool down quickly.

Had this for a little over a year and although difficult to put an exact number on it, I'm sure it has saved my hundreds of dollars in heating and cooling costs. Installation was incredibly simple and operation almost as easy. Once using it a few times, operation is equally as easy. Easy programming and remote operations are quickly accomplished. The thermostat is very intuitive.

Amazing, the google nest thermostat gives me the option to change the temperature inside of my house without having to be at my house, I never thought I could do something like that, I remember when I had to wait to get home to be able to turn on the A/C on or just put it at the right temperature and had to wait inside for it to cool down or heat up, now I can do it from my home with the google nest app and have the perfect temperature right before I get home.

Purchased this based on it being a smart device , read the reviews, checked the compatibility and decided to buy. Overall the installing was a breezed, videos was not confusing , easy set up. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and I do recommend .

Had a 2nd gen but wanted to love that upstairs so we bought the 3rd gen for downstairs. We wanted to be able to use the temp sensor but it was only compatible with the 3rd gen. The base was different from the 2nd gen so it was a total removal and install. All the wires went in the same locations so it was a breeze of an install. WiFi connected with no issues and the new nest picked up right where the old one stopped. The old nest installed upstairs with no issues so now our entire house has smart thermostats. Went with this over the also well reviewed eco bee because I enjoy not having to think about the thermostat. Me and my wife work different schedules with days off so it’s hard to actually have a set in stone thermo calendar.

This is unit is expensive, but I got it on a black Friday price break with an additional rebate from my power company. It performs as advertised and I love the convenience of the eco setting and the ability to control it with my phone. I got a separate wall plate which makes it look fantastic.
