This is the second thermostat to add to my home. The first was easy to install, set up and use. This second one was a bit more challenging setting up. Had challenges finding the internet. Four months into use the item totally lost internet connection. It still worked but there was no online controls. Called customer service and spent a good amount of time troubleshooting. It was finally determined it had was faulty. Replacement is on the way.

So much simpler than a normal thermostat. Does a terrific job when learning patterns and i rarely need to touch it.

The ability to control the Neat thermostat on the app is amazing. I go on as I leave the office and the house cools down while I commute so that when I get here it's perfect. Highly recommend

I installed my thermostat and noticed my furnace was cycling often. I first thought it was an energy conservation feature in Nest. I then received an email from my thermostat telling me to check my furnace air filter. Sure enough it was dirty. Changed the filter and the furnace quit the short cycles. Its a HVAC tech as well as a thermostat.

Installing was a breeze. Set up was also easy. Only complain is the navigation menu, the twist knob sometimes makes it difficult to access certain menus.

I have been using NEST products for a long time, and by far the NEST Thermostat is one of my favorites. The ability to control the temp and schedule is a MUST HAVE. I currently live in an apartment and even switched my unit in the apartment with a nest (took about 5 mins to do) and of course I can put the original thermostat back when I leave.

The Nest works really well to manage the temperature in my home. I'm even able to manage it while I'm not there which is why I purchased it. Adding additional sensors can help manage temperature across multiple bedrooms so that you can be comfortable at night. My only complaint is that the app this functions on is iffy. Google can't decide if they want this to work on the nest app or Google home. Sensors do not work on Google home so you have to use the nest app. But Google is phasing that out soon. Another minor complaint is my thermostat will go into "away" mode if nobody walks in front of it every hour. (Google location services to detect your phone's presence doesn't work that well.)

Looked at a lot of reviews prior to purchase. Installed it in about 20 minutes and it was extremely easy to setup. We have radiant heat flooring so looking forward to the learning part but if it heats anything like it cools I'm looking forward to the savings. Awesome features like knowing when no one is home and lowering the heat/air.

This is my 2nd Nest 3rd Gen Smart Thermostat. 1st was installed 6 mos ago for our upstairs HVAC zone. I like it well enough to get another for our downstairs HVAC zone. Best lesson learned from 1st Nest: Don't let anyone install a Nest thermo without having a hot (power) wire connected to the Nest otherwise when the Nest's backup battery runs out the Nest will die disabling the HVAC. I had to have an licensed electrician diagnose the problem & run a hot wire to the Nest because the Nest installer did NOT know about the necessity of the hot wire because the Nest worked great once installed...for 30 days, then while we were away from home during winter weather everything shutdown. ! I knew the system was out as monitoring it online indicated so. At anytime, I can check on the Nest using the Nest App. I can also ask Alexa for very limited information like, "what's the temperature in the upstairs mid bedroom?" The App provides much more extensive details and options, i.e. adjusting the temperature. Upstairs is empty-nested, so there's usually no one there to use it, so I haven't had any experience yet with using it's "smart" capabilities. The new one will be smart enabled so it can learn our habits via experience and make adjustment without having to make on-the-spot personal adjustments. I am anxious to see how that works out! Most significant downside: Alexa is not yet sophisticated enough to do all she's asked to do regarding the Nest thermostat...might have to wait for the development of a "Smart Alexa" to be capable of working with a "Smart Nest" thermostat! Regarding the Nest Sensors. I love having the option of determining which of the upstairs rooms need to be comfortable for occupants. The sensors can allow that. Smart suggestion: Check online with your area's gas/electric service provider for rebates for installing Smart Thermostats. I got a $125.00 rebate for my 1st and have application for $100.00 rebate for my 2nd.

I love what the nest does. It only took a couple of days to figure out when we got up, when we went to bed and when we went to work. I also like the ability to set it remotely since I always forget to set the temp when I leave, so now I can do that via my phone. I also like that I can have it turn back on an hour from home when returning from a road trip.

Nest allow you to control your house temperature from anywhere. Lots of features. Nice design with multiple colors to choose from. Installation is a snap. Must have for anyone who want to upgrade there old thermostat.

One of the best purchases Ive made for my house. Its great to control your thermostat right from your fingertips wherever you are. It can be used for a heat only home as I just use it for my furnace to heat and only have 2 wires going into it. There are videos online that show you how to set it up. I had it done in about 10 minutes. Great Buy!

I liked being able to add this to my home automation. I have the Nest Protect and now I can see and control my Nest Thermostat from my phone wherever I am.

Great thermostat and easy to install. They have thought of everything and it comes in the box. I own several properties and I have this on all of them. I like to be able to view them and get alerts. Really easy to setup with the app. They even provide a screwdriver in the box for install.
