I upgraded my thermostat and am glad I did. It is a nice product to add to the home. Very easy to use and it has helped me save energy. Design is simple and classic. It is easy to install. It functions well with my phone and I can adjust the temperature from any where.

My experience with google products has been a positive one for the most part. This thermostat continues to not disappoint. Setup and instructions are super easy. Our electric company here in San Antonio gave us an $85 credit plus another $30 annually to participate in Rush Hour events; these are merely high usage times where you agree to let the power company and the Nest change your thermostat setting a few degrees a few times a week to help ease strain on the grid. Integration with my Philips Hue gen 1 bridge, MyQ garage door opener and Amazon echo is great. Being able to remotely control and shut the system on/off is fantastic. It IS a bit pricey, but there is so much technology in this little device that will actually save you some money on top of the elec company's incentives that it will pay for itself very quickly, compared to other green tech that takes years to recoup.

Installation of the Nest thermostat was straightforward with all of the necessary parts and labels supplied. The online help through the Nest website helped to provide confidence that the installation was being done correctly. The set up was simple and straightforward. The connection to the wireless network was pretty much self driven. Pretty nifty to see the little puck go through it's paces. The entire installation and set up took 30 minutes. As a thermostat it works just fine. A little expensive maybe but we were leaving on a trip during the heat of the summer and we wanted to be able to monitor the house temperature and have the option to have the temperature at a comfortable level before we got back without asking someone to come into our house. Four hours from home we used the app to set the temperature back to a comfortable temperature and the house felt great when we walked in the door. The Nest app has worked fine on our Android and Apple devices. The ability to see the history of how much the A/C unit has run over the last week or two is interesting.

I have now had my Nest thermostat for about a year and could not love it anymore than I already do. It was easy to install and, in fact, I did it myself. (61 yo female) I integrated it with my Alexa and it has just spoiled me. To be in bed and wake up hot and just tell Alexa to turn your thermostat down a degree is wonderful. When I leave the house, I'll turn up the thermostat mainly because my dogs don't like the house cold and then I'll use the app on my phone to lower the temperature a bit before I get home. I upgraded my home alarm system and now the nest is also integrated with it. If you're on the fence, Don't think twice. Buy a Nest thermostat. A friend is who told me about it and I have recommended it to my own family and friends. ❤️

Hands down the best thermostat I've used. We've had it for a little more than a month and it does change the way the house is cooled and controlled. Most thermostats I've used are very old with bare minimum features or just weird controls overall. The Nest is straightforward, sleek, and it feels like a solid device in the way it's constructed with a solid weight to it. The app makes it very easy to use and the ability to change the temperature without having to get up is game-changing. The Nest also learns what temp you like it and when. It starts to schedule itself based on your temp changes. Within about 2-3 weeks a schedule started setting and we only had to make 2 tweeks to the 'learned' schedule, otherwise it was spot on. Now we don't really think about the temp in the house. Would absolutely put it in the next house that doesn't have one.

I love the Nest Thermostat...it was easy, easy to install and set up. Even comes with a cute little screwdriver and built in level. Connecting was just as easy...everything went without a hitch on the first try. Just beautiful and I love that it detects when you are present. I found myself just walking by it to watch it light up. HOWEVER, I did have a moment of pause this week when I realized that there was a software glitch that left a lot of people out in the cold...literally. And the reason that I wanted the Nest in the first place is because I split my time between two places that are 5K miles apart...and I found out about the glitch from Alaska...but by the time I found out about it and tried to log on, it was resolved...so no harm this time. I do love being able to check in on my house from afar and see that all is well. So, yes it is awesome and it works incredible...just bear in mind that it does require a wifi connection to work, and if something happens to that connection you are powerless. I would still buy it knowing all of this...it adds a lot of modern flair to your house.

I love the perfect look, very easy set up. It's part of the apartment decoration. Very useful, programmable, and the best is the fact that I can control it with Alexa. No need your Phone App or to go walking to the Thermostat if you need to change the temperature.

Easy to install, overall a great thermostat, really easy to use and it does what it supposed to do, looks great and it works great! Love the modern look!

The Nest 3rd generation smart thermostat has exceeded my expectations. The product does what it says it will do, and saves energy cost. Bottom line, it just works. The installation was very easy, and took about 30 minutes from start to finish. During the installation process I engaged customer service/tech support. Nest has top notch, friendly, knowledgeable people, and my concern was handled in less than 5 minutes.

I followed the instructions that came with the Nest and had it installed in just a couple of minutes. Setup was a breeze as the Nest pretty much holds your hand through the process. I had it paired with my home's wi-fi and setup through the Nest app on my iPhone. I like that the Nest tries to decrease our cooling and heating bills by sensing when we are and aren't home. My main complaint is that it wants to use temperatures that are too extreme for our dogs. The Nest wanted to let our house get up to 86 degrees in the summer and go down to 65 degrees in the winter, when we aren't home, before kicking the AC or heater on. That's too extreme for our dogs so I had to disable the energy efficiency setting for the AC. I didn't realize it was going to do this until I left to go to the store and came back after an hour to a house that was 80 degrees. I do like being able to adjust the thermostat from my phone, the Nest is futuristic looking and stylish, and it now work with my Apple Watch. It's automatic energy savings features need to be tuned. I think it would be easier if Google/Nest just added a setting so you could tell the thermostat that you have pets. That way it doesn't get mad at me for not letting the house get above 75 degrees when we aren't there in the summer. There are other thermostats that will work just as well as the Nest if all you want to do is control them from your phone when you're home or away. Get the Nest if you want the thermostat to learn when you're home and away so that you can shave back on your heating and cooling bills. It really has helped with the heating , not so much with the electricity for the AC.

Really love the look of this small thermostat which is a self learning system. I don't have to worry about changing the temperature from time to time during summer months as it has perfectly learned what our needs are. We live in texas and it can get pretty hot. The temperature gets automatically adjusted during nighttime as well as day. We keep about 76 during the day and 72 at night which the NEST system does it for us. Hoping with fall coming up, it performs per our expectations and able to keep the temperature memorized as it did during summer. Had disconnection issues during the first month of purchase but has performed well after that. Will update this review in few months after further use.

Ease of Setup will depend on the unit you are replacing- however the supporting walkthrough is very helpful. If you are a DIYer, then you can complete the install in 30mins. The unit looks great- awesome upgrade! The only issue I’ve faced is with the spinning control not being smooth all the time. Controlling home temp is very easy, and being able to do so while away from your home is amazing. You can setup your preferences by day, time, and the unit is definitely smart. I would buy 2 if I had a dual zone AC system! Home upgrade must have.

Upgraded 2 older thermostats with 2 of these from Nest. Seamless install, less than 30 mins from setup to install for both. Novice when it comes to heating/cooling but the instructions are easy to understand and took all the mystery out of the install. Worked perfectly with both of heating and cooling systems. Love the ability to control with the app. Savings has been consistent from the beginning, even with changing seasons our monthly bill continues to go down. Functionality is perfect and they look great too. My only complaint was the temp was measured only at the thermostat while noticeably different from room to room. Nest finally released the remote sensors in April which I added 3 of them each thermostat in distant locations. Now I’ve got all the info needed to make any adjustments. No complaints!

As a DAD with Thermostat anxiety the Nest gives me the security that if ANYONE touches the Thermostat, I can drop it back to the cost saving mode it should be at. The ease of use, the reminders to change the air filter is a DADS dream when it comes to Thermostat control. Very easy install made me look like a professional to may family and all the praise that goes with it. I would highly recommend this to any DAD out there who's job is keeping Heating and A/C cost under control to get one of these. The app let's me adjust the temp....even when I'm not there. FYI if you have a wife who has hot flashes, all advice above is null and void. ENJOY!

I've been wanting a smart thermostat for a few years now but my system didn't allow use of one. I found out i was able to updated the control panel on the furnace to accommodate. I was about to purchase the 2nd generation Nest when that same day they announced the 3rd generation. My friends and family all haves Nests and they are great. This 3rd generation is a big improvement. The large face, the large numbers, the farsight feature, all big improvements. $250 is a big expensive but i believe they are well worth it. Time will tell as i have numbers from the previous 2 years to compare with. Also...easy to install, easy to work. Great app.

I had a Honeywell connected thermostat that just kept losing wireless connection and after a year it decided it did not want to cool my system anymore, so i decided i wanted to upgrade to the nest. On opening the box just the way it was packed you know you have a quality item and has nice weight to the device also The instruction on how to install was quite good and easy to follow, the only issue was the sticky labels were not tooo good and kept slipping of so be careful, i took a picture after i labeled just in case. the nest has a plastic surface that is 3/4 covering the glass that you might think needs to be peeled off but is actually part of the device surface , i checked online and is teh only way i found out not to touch it. once installed going through the menu, off course you need wireless connection and to download the app, but you can do this without as i connected after the unit was setup and installed. after connection and running it was easy to use from the app, don't forget this is a learning device. there was some lag time between switching the cooling system on and off but after a few days it git better or i just did not notice anymore, overall this is a great device and good value for money for the future.

So easy to install. The instructions will walk you through the steps so you really can't make a mistake. It looks fantastic on the wall, the main display is high resolution so it is easy to read onscreen text. And operation is just as easy; i was amazed at how quickly it picked up our weekly and daily patterns. After a couple weeks, we hardly touch the thermostat at all. I like that it can be controlled remotely, and that it also links to other home control applications. Although I don't use the feature very often, it is nice to know it's there if needed. It's too early to tell for sure if our utility bills will go down or up, but it appears to be slightly lower so far. Even if there's not a significant cost savings, the control features make this well worth the price.

I bought this primarily for the ability to connect to a remote thermostat (our home has multiple thermostats/zones). The Best Buy sales rep did a great job pointing out the feature works only with this stat, not the prior Nest. So, I paid more than I hoped for, but it was necessary for that feature. Other than that, it's been a good stat! :) We also have a number of Google appliances, so the connection/integration feature is nice, but not used much. It took me a few minutes to understand where to swipe, but once I figured that out, navigation is pretty intuitive. Installing the app on your phone seems necessary but not something I anticipate using. I'm an Android user, so no issues there with app. Partner is iPhone and haven't tried download. I have not yet set up programs/schedules yet (we're working from home mostly), but don't anticipate significant challenges. Overall...it's nice looking, easy to hook up (I like the built in level on the mounting plate!) and does what's is supposed to do...and much more that I haven't tried.

The learning thermostat is energy saving and easy to operate. It works with you and how your daily activity is. It’s wifi so you can control it from anyware. It’s very easy to wire up my system Use two wires one for heat and one for the 24 volts it took approximate 15 min to install. Just be sure If you need a c wire (common) to ensure you have adequate volts to turn on your heating pumps. If you don’t have adequate power it won’t work but you can buy a 24v adapter to plug into your outlet and into the thermostat. If it dont turn on with the two wires all you need is that 24 v adapter.

It has improved our lives drastically!! Set your schedule and saves money! It's beautiful almost an art piece in our home! The installation was ridiculously easy and fast, use common sense and be safe and it really is easy as 1-2-3!
