I have several 2nd generation Nests in use. The 3rd generation has been a very incremental change, and I'm very happy with all of them. Easy to install and easy to program via app.

This thermostat is amazing. It has already saved me $12 off my bill compared to last month. Installation was super easy and took less than 30 min.

This is a pretty cool product. You can connect your phone to it to change the temp and it will tell you how long it will take to get the whole house to that temp.

It works as advertised. My favorite feature is it automatically changing to Away mode when we're all out of the house. No point in heating an empty home! They recently updated the Nest app so that you can have multiple accounts controlling the same Nest(s), meaning my wife can use her own account and it tracks both our phones to know when to go into 'Away' Mode. I also like that I can see our usage history to see what days we use the most energy, though I wish it would let me look at a longer history than just one week. It doesn't yet work with Apple Homekit, so if you are looking to control your Nest with Siri, keep waiting. Other than that, a great buy.

I love the Nest Learning Thermostat! It works great. I can truly control my AC and Heat from anywhere with internet service. So much better then my old Thermostat

I’m so glad that I invested on this thermostat. The fact that I can control the temperature from anywhere with my phone is and has been awesome!!!

This is an average product. I give it a 3 start for build quality. The nest products are very solid products in a general sense. The software for them is excellent however the build of the nest thermostats I have to rate average. After 2 years in a new house the mount for this product failed. Now this could have been because of installation but it randomly failed and our heat stopped. Its hard to be to critical. This failure could be due to the electricians skill at installing it. I give it good because you will want to be carefull with the wire mount. It is not very strong and apparently can break with little to no pressure. So take care of this and you will have a fun smart thermostat.

Love it, use it every day, and prefer the Nest to any other solution. I'd say it is strictly superior and more convenient than any other company's smart thermostat, though the thing that annoys me the most is the fact that you cannot set a heating and cooling schedule in a way that normal human beings would like to. So for example, if you want the thermostat to heat your home in the morning up to 70 degrees, you have to set a schedule. But then, you have actually turn on your thermostat to the heat setting as if you're trying to turn it on immediately, and then set the target temperature to really low so it doesn't do anything. In the morning, it will automatically adjust at the correct time to the real temperature. Quite a weird and annoying way of setting a schedule.

I have had the nest for almost a month now. Its amazing, the only time I touched it was to try out the various displays. We no longer keep adjusting the temperature. And like the manual said it gets better over time by learning your habits. I now need one for upstairs:-) Installation was easy, to be on the safe side take a picture of the wires for your current thermostat before replacing it

Simple to use but needed an HVAC person to install as we didn’t have a common wire at the existing thermostat. We like it a lot.

The nest is a great smart thermostat and should be added to any smart home. The ability to control the AC remotely has been very helpful. I recommend pro install.
