I had the previous generation and it was terrific. It went with the house when sold so I researched the new smart thermostats for the new house. The latest gen Nest came out on top after research. After having it for about a month, I still think it is the best choice. It is a solid performer.

Very pleased with this unit so far. Installation and setup was super easy. Look forward to saving some money on my bill soon.

I got this for my home and luckily my friend was nice enough to come hook it up for me. I am using it now and it is very easy and convenient.

It has been a month and has made me energy aware. I have not got my first bill yet but I know that I am saving because you can see how long the heating has been on. Since it reduce the temperature when you not home and adjust it self when you home. You do not have to temporary change temperature if someone stay home. Installation was easy and took less than 30 mins. I did not have "C" wiring, because my programmable Honeywell thermostat used a battery. It worked with out the "C" wire, So no need to swap fan wire or swap wire in the furnace. It works well wink and Alexa

I purchased the Nest Learning Thermostat and had it installed by the Geek Squad. Installation and setup didn’t take more than 30 minutes. I have had no issues with it since I bought it a month ago. I am confident that it will help reduce my energy bill

I was hesitant when I originally purchased this thermostat. Admittedly, in the first few days, I didn't know if I would find the value in this unit from Nest. However, after 6-7 days the thermostat started showing it was "learning." I can see clearly now after just two months of use that this device will be paying itself off in short order due to the savings in energy. It adjusts itself based on your location, so that it doesn't run the A/C when you aren't home. I had a programmable thermostat before the Nest unit, and now I just wish I had upgraded sooner.

This is an excellent product. I have no idea how it compares to the 1st and 2nd gen, but it is excellent.

As far as ease of installation goes, the Nest thermostat is in my list of top 5. Very good how to video as well as having wire markers and tools included. I was able to get it all done and running in about a half hour. Well worth the money.

I installed this the day it arrived. Had it over a month and it seems to be working great. Set it and forget it.

Bought the Nest 3rd gen online and Best Buy delivered next day. No issues, no complaints. Easy installation.

Highly recommend. Intuitive to use. Great controlsnfrom app and google integration. Saved a ton on heating costs.

Upgrade, but still doesn't work with Homekit without a work around.

As Advertised , very easy to use. Simple navigation through menus. Very nice smart thermostat.

Just love having the Nest Thermostat. Helps me participate in various PG&E programs that save electricity during peak loads and gives me some cashback for playing my part. I would definitely recommend getting the Nest sensors if your house is multi-story since the temperature sensor is in the unit and the device will not be able to sense the gradient on the other floor without the sensor.

Does a great job. Easy to install and does everything it’s advertised to do. Seamless integration with Alexa as well.
