This thermostat is everything it is cracked up to be and more! It has lowered my energy bill another $50 at least since I've gotten it. The ability to program it when you are there or away, and then it enhances that program by learning your habits is amazing. It thinks of things that I don't even think of! The one thing that would be better if built right in would be the ability to geofence the Nest, but there are third party apps out there that let you do that, so you can set it and forget it basically. When you leave the house it goes into away mode, and you have it turn itself back on and start cooling/heating when you are on your way home! The ability to heat and cool is extremely well liked also, so during those odd times of the year when one day you have heat on in the morning and air on in the afternoon, you can use that setting so you don't have to keep running back and forth to the thermostat. I also love that I can control it from my phone or tablet. Too cold in the morning? Grab the device and turn the heat up without getting uncovered! I love my Nest thermostat and am looking forward to purchasing a few Nest smoke/CO2 detectors in the near future! Very highly recommended!

Great product and easy to install and use. User friendly

Much better than the old style thermostat. 100% certain that this saves us money. It is also is nice to turn up the heat from the phone when returning from travel, etc. Super easy to install if you have a quasi-modern house with heat and AC. I am having difficulty installing one in my other place that just has a boiler and a two wire thermostat. If you pull the cover off of your current thermostat, make sure you have a C wire that will power the nest.

This is my second nest Thermostat 3rd generation. Nothing but positives things to say about it. Easy to install, works perfectly with google home. Looks great on your wall and it saves you money by creating schedules. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their thermostat.

Easy to install. Easy to set up. Optimizes your schedule. Love the away feature: if you leave the house it automatically sets the temperature back then turns on when you head home. Best: you can monitor it from any where and make adjustments as needed so your house is at the right temperature when you get home. Had one die after 3 years (probable lightning strike) and immediately replaced it with another. Weakest part is tech support - so by the Best Buy extended warranty so you deal with Best Buy not Google (NOT a paid endorsement). There is a reason why this is a Consumer Reports Best Buy - best one on the market.

The Nest is super clean looking and easy to use. It syncs with our home security system so that we can control it from our smartphones, whether we are at home or away. My only complaint is that it may be too smart for its own good! I am having to retrain it a bit now that I am home during the weekdays for the summer.

We just moved to a new home with dual HVAC systems for upstairs and downstairs. We already had a 1st generation Nest thermostat and bought the 3rd generation after reading that it a dual system works with it. I went through the process of taking pictures of the wiring and providing them to a Nest technician through online chat. I provided them with the make and model number of our two systems as well. He quickly confirmed that Nest was compatible and provided me two wiring diagrams which made it extremely easy to install. Took 15-20 minutes for each one. Now I can command or ask Alexa about the upstairs and downstairs temperatures. The only thing I had to figure out was how to get Alexa to connect with each one as it didn't do it automatically. Went into the Alexa app and disabled the Nest thermostat and reenabled it and added the two thermostats then labeled them upstairs and downstairs.

The install was easy. Download the app and connect to the thermostat was effortless. Changing temp on the thermostat or via the app is very easy. Making sure the kids don’t raise the temperature…priceless.

We switched out a basic thermostat for the Nest Learning. It really is smart. We set up our home and away schedule - easy to do. Then the thermostat learned our schedule and made adjustments to the schedule we set up. We love that we can change the settings from our phones - put it on ECO to save energy or take off of ECO as we near home (no more walking into a cold home). Or we go out for a walk and the Nest knows we are gone and switches to ECO to save us money. Also, the settings are so easy to see - the current temp is in big numbers no more magnifying glass to read the thermostat.

From the begin of the purchase employee at store greet and showed where item is located to them get a person to explain. Installing was a breez and works amazing, love the ability to schedule temp at different time and able to turn on/off when needed too

We bought this to replace our older programmable thermostat. It has worked great with so much functionality. It has so many different settings and is easy to install & use (not to mention it's good look). We are waiting on our first bill for the season but I am sure it will be better than before.

Bought this for our lake condo. Allows me to manage and monitor temperatures remotely. Very happy with the Nest thermostat - beautiful aesthetic, easy to install and use, and with powerful connected experience. Only thing missing is remote temperature and humidity sensors that integrate with the app.

This thermostat is easy to install. The Nest website has a video you can watch that will lead you through each step. Watch the full video first. Then watch a step at a time, pause the video after the video of the step, perform the step, and repeat until installed and set up. I think someone that has never installed a thermostat can install this thermostat by watching the video (and it comes with a screw driver to facilitate installation). The video also walks you through the steps to set up the connection to your wifi network and settings. The auto away feature is very helpful in not running your unit if you are away. The internet and app set up was a breeze. I can control two units from my phone app. If you have been away for a while, you can check the temp before you head home and turn the unit on if you'd like to cool things down before you get home. There is a monitoring feature so you can see how long your unit ran each day. It is so easy to install and easy to use. There are no buttons and switches and settings that other thermostats have that can be intimidating. The auto learn feature is really cool too.

Convenience and going green packed into one. Incredibly simple installation and configuration. Looks gorgeous on my wall. I never need to worry about turning my thermostat off when away amd can lock it so the little ones don't mess with settings. Must have for any home owner.

Our new thermostat was so easy to install and works great! I love how simple it is to make adjustments, change settings and I downloaded the app for my phone too-so I can do it all from there as well. It also tells you when you're saving energy which is awesome!! Our bills have been lower even over these hot months.

Works great! I purchased this to upgrade in my home and save on my electric bill. It has been helpful, was easy to install, and easy to use. I had a Nest thermostat previously as well as a Honeywell smart thermostat and preferred the Nest one overall.

I just got around to installing my Nest, firs tit was very easy. It started to learn it's enviroment from the moment power was supplied. I just can not believe how it works. When it knows I'm away it dials back the temp and as soon as it senses I'm home it starts to make things cozy. AAA rating from me. ENJOY !

Really easy installation and works great! Love the app feature and the fact that you can control everything right from your smart phone, especially when you're not home. It's starts learning your patterns within a few days and continues to adjust it self accordingly, as it learns your scheduled even more. Love it so far!

I'm giving this 5 stars because it's everything it says it would be: 1) Easy installation (even if you aren't into playing with electricity) 2) Most of the smart thermostats required a C-wire. This one did not. 3) It connected with Alexa and the Nest app with minimal fuss 4) There were great rebates that made it worthwhile (check with your electric company and others) So here's the problem. My family is abusing the heater now. I've always been pretty frugal about when I turn on the heater, but now because it can be done remotely; the heater comes on when they get out of bed, when they go into the shower when they think they might be cold, etc. Normally, the heating would be off during these times. So it works as advertised, but I doubt I'm going to save any money on heating.
