I don't like that nest sold to google and my old phone app no longer works. The old app was very superior to the new one that we were forced to convert to. I hate the app so much I may eventually switch to something else next time I need to upgrade.

However this is a better known product, and I'm sick of pursuing features over inter-product communication. I have a robust home automation system, so my setup is much more complex than most.
