I replaced an older standard thermostat with the Nest 3G. The instructions were pretty straight forward but I did need to call their customer support line to get some help with a configuration question. As luck would have it the answer to my question was given as I listened to their hold information so I never had to actually speak with a support agent. We've been really happy with the way this product works. It's really nice to be able to check and make changes using my phone over the internet. The thermostat also learns your preferences and can make temp adjustments automatically based on time of day or whether you are home or away. It can also be configured to show you different types of information on the large, easy to read display.

Excellent. Installs so quick and no need for great expertise. Easy to use, even for someone like me, that knows nothing about electrical installations or how things should work. A great energy-saver with great features and greets me when I arrive home. Also love the scheduler feature as I can easily schedule the temp I would like. I was a little skeptical at the begging, but now I can say: Great great great! :D Would recommend!

No. No they don’t. My entire home is Nest, from perimeter cameras around my home to a Hello doorbell camera and Nest Yale lock. Each works phenomenally and the thermostat is no different. The install went without a hitch and took me probably no more than 15 minutes. YouTube has a very clear and thorough video which makes the install a total breeze. Once you’re up and running, the thermostat walks you through the setup process step by step without any hiccups. The Nest UI is extremely easy to understand and navigate. And to top it off, this thermostat is beautiful and looks very stylish yet elegant. I love Nest!

Installation was super easy and I love having the ability to control the temperature of the thermostat from ANYWHERE. I also love the learning and efficiency of the system.

I was leary about this purchase and set up. But I installed it myself and it works. Very very easy installation. The directions were so user friendly. I love this thermostat. It senses when someone is near and lights up and shows the temperature in the room. I love the programmable features. I can set the temp in the house from anywhere in the world. I would definitely recommend this product.

Purchased this at my local BB. The Nest tech support alone is fantastic. Prompt, friendly and helpful. Installed within a few minutes. Works great. keeping the home comfy :)

Easy to install and looks cool! The app provides extremely easy setup with details on wiring. I recommend you take a picture of your old thermostat wiring if you plan on reinstalling it at some point. Upon installation, wifi setup is easy within the display and integration with AC / heating is seamless. Nest provides monthly updates to see your energy use. I went with this model since it learns your activities when you are in and out of the house to better set temperature in your house, no need to raise the heat if no one is home.

This was a replacement for an old 2nd Gen Nest. Pretty easy to install but it did require replacing the base which screws to the wall as the new connector is a different style. This added a bit of install time compared to what the AC repairman had told me. In the end everything works and I like the look of the white ring versus my original stainless steel model.

I absolutely love the NEST! It was so easy to install and the best part is the WiFi connection. Being able to change the temperature from anywhere is amazing!!!!

I recently purchased a new house and this was one of the few items I knew I'd want right away. The new generation works perfectly with as little as 3 wires in the setup, but if you have a C (common) wire, it will improve the longevity of the unit. I love being able to control the home temperature when getting out of work or logging in and turning on eco when I know I'll be gone for a while. One caveat I have found is that if you turn on auto-sense with this in an our of the way area, Eco will often kick in more than you want it to. Once Eco kicks in, all your schedules can be over ridden, which can cause issues if your not careful.

This is actually the 2nd thermostat I have purchased from Nest and this is to replace my 1st generation that I inadvertently broke. The functionality is very similar to the gen1 with a slightly more sleek and rounded design. This unit is a bit smaller than gen 1 and required using the installed mount if replacing an older unit (they are not the same). Great performance and nice to have the capabilities at the touch of your phone. Allows for programming schedules so you can set it and forget it. I also get monthly usage data and status reports if the system has issues. Great unit

Easy to install and works well. Love being able to adjust temperature from anywhere and easily adjust schedule after it automatically learned it.

Easy to install, if you use Google's compatibility test first on their website. If it says it's good, then installing it is as simple as following the app. I've started constantly checking the temperature and found the temperatures spike throughout the place at various time, helped me narrow down lack of insulation in the attic by room. I recommend buying several of the thermostat puck things to place around the house. Just so you can use the Nest app to check those room's temp and turn on the air/heat for where you are, not the hallway your thermostat is likely to be.

Building a new house and had them install this. Work great and easy to us. Connects nicely to an app on the phone for remote communication away from the house.

I bought the Nest thermostat to save money. I didn't realize how good it was and why it is so popular. I set a schedule of times to come on and off. Compared to other programmable remotes this is easy. I like the energy history you can see how long your furnace was on. You can also see what time it came on and when it went off by the hour. You can set the thermostat to ECO mode which if heats or cools your house to the minimum and maximum levels. During the winter and your away, it could be turned down to 50 degrees. I like the fact you can be anywhere and see if your house is heating or cooling. Works great with the Nest App with cameras.

This thermostat looks more like decoration than those plastic pieces you see on walls. Not only looks nice, it also serves a purpuse, like showing you the temperature inside or the time. Amd it is intelligent too. Just go out and it goes into Away mode to save energy. As soon as it detects you are home, it goes back to the preset temperature, unless you tell them to start cooling your home for your arrival. One not obvious advantage is that you have the control at your phones reach, so you can set the temperature to your best comfort without having to go to the specifiwd set poit on the wall of your house. It also learns and auto adjust the settings. It is awesomeness and smarts in a beautifull package.

I had this for about a week now and it is starting to learn our routines which is pretty cool. I also put both of our phones on it so it doesn't go into eco mode unless we both are gone. This works great since I work first shift and my Wife works 2nd. It doesn't save as much energy due to the smaller window when nobody is home but it is nice to be able to control it off my phone. Make sure you run a common wire from your furnace. I have heard of a lot of problems from people trying to run this off a 4wire system, like the ac kicking on in winter to charge the battery.

Works great so far. Very easy to use. It has learned my habits a usually has my home at comfortable temperatures.
