    It does take awhile to get used to and automatic programming leaves a little to be desired. Missing (the minus one star) is clear operating instructions as well as upgrade customer support by Nest. Once you get thru the unknown, is a pretty good device!

    Nest meets all my needs for a thermostat . Little challenging to install by yourself . Most ac units don’t have ground wire installed

    The thermostat worked fine the first couple of weeks but now it keeps disconnecting from the Internet, telling me the battery is low when it is not, and telling me that the date and time are incorrect which they are not. No matter how many times I try to reset it or it tries to reset it self it’s still not connected to the Internet. It must be defective.

    I'm glad I purchased the Nest 3rd. generation. Not sure how much energy I will be saving, but my AC unit definitely behaves a lot better than before.

    I had the original version and this one is as good or slightly better. I moved the old version upstairs. This version has better sensing capability.
