We have them connected to Ameren and the control when there is peak usage and the raise our temp to save us $$ each month. The control is amazing from my Home apps and Nest App.

With a $100 ComEd rebate, I decided to upgrade to the new Gen 3 Nest thermostat. I'm glad I did - I really like the larger screen and it's ability to sense movement from further away. I moved the old Gen 3 to the garage furnace and now I can manage that one online too.

Unfortunately one died recently (9 months old) and its good Best Buy had them in stock at the Macon, Georgia store. I bought one and installed it myself with very little fiddling. It was a life saver since temperatures have been hovering in the 100’s. I hope it will last longer that the one it replaced which only lasted 9 months.

It let us know there was an issue after installing it with the system shutting off too soon. I replaced the air filter and it went away. It also allows you to programs times and temperatures easily. Best part is the history letting you know how long and when the system turns on everyday, so you can adjust and save money.
