    I installed this thermostat in May 2020 and initially everything worked very well. I started noticing significant savings on my utility bills and thought nothing more of it. Then once the weather started to change the issues started to arise. The learning feature started moving the temperature all over the place, I would frequently have to go in and program the thermostat back to the schedule that I wanted it on. In heat/cool mode it would consistently let the temperature idle outside of the range specified. Then in October the thermostat lost connectivity to my wifi connection and couldn't find any network. I spent several hours on the phone with Google support until they determined that the nest had suffered a hardware failure. Now I am waiting on a replacement device. Considering that the first until only lasted 4.5 months, I am not exactly optimistic about the longevity of this device. The only reason I didn't give one star is that the unit does save you money.

    great style easy to install and program with the app or on the unit itself. It is very efficient and if it is running a lot(ie. your furnace or air conditioner it will n notify you and ask if you would like to turn it down a little bit to be more efficient
