I upgraded from a basic thermostat that came with the house and it is awesome! big difference

I purchased 4 Nest thermostats to replace my existing 4. Found out that Nests do NOT have "fan on" only option unless the entire device is on. Can turn on "fan only" on my previous thermostats without requiring to turn on heat or cold options.

Had for 30 days. Issue with not enough power to supply device on day 5. Resolved by researching online, hooking up additional wire. No problems since then but nest should really warn people that not all setups will work straight out of box.

thats all I can really say about this, the software is so stupid you have a few options when it comes to the wake up approach feature but not ROOM TEMPERATURE, very disappointed , especially for the price

Stay from Nest Learning Thermostats. Purchased a brand new Nest thermostat in November of 2023. By January 2024 it was not functioning correctly. The defective return policy at Best Buy is 30 days, so I pursued the warranty claim with Google. Google's warranty claim process and warranty is worst in class. The process to file the claim was 30 plus minutes with 3+ phone transfers. The support team insisted on trouble shooting, even after I informed them that I went through all the troubleshooting steps on my own (another 45 minute process) When they finally accepted the warranty claim, they deciede to send a refurbished thermostat. The brand new thermostat that I purchased lasted less than 45 days and Google sends a refurbished thermostat as a replacement. Very disappointing.

Really disappointed! We’ve only had this for a year and 2 months and it’s already quit working. Constantly says low battery and we can leave it plugged into the charger for 8 hours and it still won’t charge. All this, in the middle of the hottest days of summer. And when it’s trying to charge, the HVAC shuts off because the thermostat isn’t connected.

Thing worries me Bc while I have been out traveling it stops responding. The app says product is offline. Cannot get updates or anything about what it is doing. Worry house will freeze. Very nerve wracking. But product works when I am home and in the area. Arrrggghhhh

I have two nests in my house and they always say they are offline. When I get up and go look at the Nests it says they are connected to Wi-Fi. Also see the Nest online in my route table. Their app support is what is terrible. Does this on multiple phones. Also notifications rarely work if something has happened to the HVAC. Since Google took over it has gone downhill. No or lacking QA process before they release software updates. Has potential but not until they get all their bugs figured out. Have had issues with these on and off for almost 4 years now, including the new one.
