Great device but make sure you have that 5th wire

We just ran a new wire which wasn’t too bad and all is good now! I just wasn’t expecting the additional work when I purchased one super cold winter night.

It doesn't the support line was awful and took over 60 min to discover they don't know what they are doing. They ended up trying ot sell me an install service instead of asking a ten second question. In the end I returned it. Wouldn't recommend until you are certain it will work for you.

It's been 2 months and I still did not get the replacement of the device which was promised by Google. Case ID 3-3686000036254. In this winter season, the thermostat is such an important device and it is not working for several months. But no response from Google. What a pathetic service!!!

I even tried updating the programming on my phone and it still resets itself. I know it's an adjustment but it's been a couple of months and it still resets at the weekend. No impressed so far.

No customer support, no one to reach since it stopped working. We bought it a year ago and we are so disappointed with it. It stopped working, cannot find any network around it, not the house and not any....we cannot work it from our phones anymore and need to go down or up all the time to change temp. How can it be? Such a defect product? And no one to talk to

This product was NOT easy to use, it did NOT work at all. For a " third generation" product , i expected to at least be able to easily navigate through the options, easily make selections or even add a simple zipcode for my location. Even the customer service rep from NEST , advised to enter all my info ir to navigate the product menus snd options on my phone instead of the actual touch screen on the unit. I spent an entire day on the phone with multiple customer service reps from NEST. One of them even blamed the faulty operation due to my brand new air conditioner. At the end I did save money, i saved about $300 by returning the product! I would never recommend this product to anyone who wants to save money or have a smart home. Maybe the "fourth generation" will be better.

As recommended, got the Total Tech Membership. All was great until the Nest were installed (TV and appliance installers were great! Nest installer Ralph damaged 2 of my 3 units. They are not working, period! We are now waiting until Wed to get the 2 units repaired. 5 days it will be without AC in 66% of my brand new house. My wife and I are very mad! If you are installing Nest and Ralph shows up, tell him you changed your mind. Trust me. He has no clue what he is doing!
