Incredible product! Even the packaging is good. The hardware, instructions and even the included screwdriver is top notch. The only suggestion is to provide the instructions on changing the "default far display" to current room temp as most people would like this ability instead of just what temp it's set at. I "Googled it" but it should be in the directions.

bought it for a friend's parents house, they seem to like it just fine, and google plans to support it with security updates for the forseeable future so that's good.

Pretty much works as expected still haven't had it long enough to reap the benefits of the learning portion but I like that I can have it off all day than turn it on from my phone on my way home .

Bought the Nest to better control an old hot water baseboard boiler system in an old house. The Nest has way more capability than my old system (non-ac) could use, but I thought I'd try it anyway. It took 3 calls to Nest support to figure out how to properly wire it to my antiquated system, but they were incredibly patient and we finally got it figured out and it was simple.

Hook up was easy. But, for the first week it kept dropping offline because the battery was not charging. Never found the reason. Been working like a charm now. Easy to use, setup was simple.

Easy to connect and configure, it helps a lot in saving energy at home.
