    Installation was not difficult but here are a few tips for other first time buyers: I watched a few YouTube videos prior to installation and they were very helpful. Find where the main breaker box is and check if labels are clear (and correct). I spent over 20 minutes to find the correct breaker switch since the labels on my breaker were wrong. I had to turn off each one and come back to the thermostat to see if the breaker I just turned off was correct one. Check the fuel type of your furnace: natural gas, oil, or electric. Have your home’s WiFi ID and password. Enjoy.

    This is actually my second Nest thermostat. The first Nest’s WiFi connection died but I was able to still use it in person until I could get a replacement. Switching back to a non Nest thermostat for a day before the next one could be installed (easy to do yourself) was like going back to the Stone Age.

    Grear product, perfect guidlines demostrated on youtube and installed it myself, doing it step by step and properly will take extra time but well worth it for peace of mind and saving money by not paying a Tech come out and charge hundred or so dollars.

    This is 3rd one we have installed in our house for a 3 zone system. Easy to install. Works with our boiler. Enjoy the remote capability for scheduling and adjusting heat for when we are away and just before we arrive
