It served its purpose and did good but for some reason in the summer it was on cool blowing out hot air and winter blowing out cold air. We even had a licensed electrician hook it up and it didn’t run right. But convenient because you could set your temp away from home in home in bed if needed and on vacation.

This thermostat literally dropped our energy bill by half... only complaint is that if there is not a constant power source the unit will die during the months of the year when the temperature isn’t as harsh but other than that couldn’t be happier

Packaged very well and come with easy instructions for installation. My only gripe with nest is you need to use a gmail account for the services. Overall still a great product, no issues

Got a little confused with “eco” settings and a few other options. It in general good and since I got it on sale price was ok. Very easy to wire up, only took 10 minutes.

The only thing my partner isn’t crazy about is how long it takes to cool down when in eco setting. I don’t mind it myself but it does concern me that the ac unit will go non stop until temperature is reached.

Had a little trouble on the install because of having an extra wire that wasn't listed. But Nest support was great looked at the model of the old thermostat and the model of the HVAC then sent me a wiring diagram for the correct setup. Other than that it was great.

This thing is very smart intuitive and with the help of your phone it makes it that much better. I like the learning capability it has as opposed to its competitor the Ecobee that doesn't learn.

It changes temperature on you all of the time and I can’t figure out how to shut that off.

To provide you with more information about the learning feature, after approximately the first week of use, your thermostat should have learned your temperature preferences and established a schedule based on that. While it continues to learn, it becomes less sensitive to each change you make. If you're facing issues with the Auto-Schedule feature, you have a couple of options below:
- First, you can reset the Auto-Schedule feature, which will initiate the learning process again, similar to the initial week of use. To reset your Nest Learning Thermostat, check out this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247296
- Alternatively, if you prefer, you can completely disable the Auto-Schedule learning feature and use your thermostat as a traditional programmable thermostat. For step-by-step instructions on these processes, please refer to this help article: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9209007

Also check with your utility company because there are rebates out there. we got 75$ back from the state for switching to this. Don't walk run to get this bad boy.

I didn't want to pay a lot, but I had no choice because I didn't trust the others to give me the same satisfaction.

Nest toggles to away mode when it detects our phones away from the house, and IFTTT kicks in and turns off all of our Hue lights. When we get home and Away turns off, the lights come on. LIttle things, but they make a quality of life difference.
