It’s A LEMON!

It faults out for not charging so disconnects from WiFi or RC wire connection broken and my original thermostat is same wire set up and have not had any problems other than it’s not WiFi.

Nest thermostats connectivity issues could be related to power issues, which may occur when your system wires can't deliver enough power to keep the thermostats charged up. The thermostat uses the voltage from your system’s wires to keep its internal battery charged, so if the power from your system is insufficient, the thermostat will run on battery for a while but will turn off features like Wi-Fi to preserve battery life before it must turn off completely.
Here’s are some troubleshooting steps that might help in the event that your thermostat has connectivity issues:
- Restarting your thermostat will refresh your connection. You can restart it by going to Settings > Reset > Restart.
- Unplug your Modem/Router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
- Check for sources of Wi-Fi interference (cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, bluetooth devices, wireless video equipment)
- Check your battery level, press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu Settings > Technical Info > Power. Look for the number labeled Battery. If the battery charge is below 3.6V, there might be a power issue.
- If this is related to a power issue, disconnect the thermostat from your Wi-Fi. Check if the thermostat maintains a charge after.

I control my thermostat from the comfort of my bed. However the learning mode is what I don't like and there is no way to disable it from the App. It's not accurate and each day is different, how the so called smart thermostat can know what temperature it should set only based on my previous selections.

You can see the history of use of your AC system and then change the temperature to minimize use of the AC. Would definitly recommend!
