Missing key features that ecobee comes with for less money. It is a solid good looking device but extremely over rated. Only collects 2 weeks of history, cant handle aux emergency heat for heat pump systems, missing basic user configuration and not a touch screen. I really wanted it to work out for our house but once we found out that it would not run aux emergency heat it had to go.

So much better than my previous thermostat. Its easy to operate at the thermostat and in the app. I think setting the schedule was a little difficult with the just the knob and no touch screen. I covered the sensor because it is very sensitive.

Although this product is not a touch screen like the Honeywell thermostat I replaced it has even better features in my opinion. I like the farsight feature that turns the thermostat on with motion. Also the auto scheduling is a great feature too.

    Cheaper items are touch screen.

My only gripe is that it isn't touch screen. Who turns a dial in 2016? I bought a Honeywell, but it didn't integrate with my Apple home or google home, so I changed to Nest. It's fine. But not as cool looking or as easy as the Honeywell wifi. Definitely has more integration with my life though. Worth the buy if you want to use a device to control it

Didn't Work Despite Website Saying it would

I was very excited to buy this device but unfortunately it didn't work with my air conditioner even though the Nest website said it would. They have a section that asks what wires you currently have. I was on the phone with their tech support for more than an hour. They were very polite. They told me they thought the unit was defective and that I should return it to the store and to get another one, and if the same problem persisted to call them again. They were going to send me some information in the meantime but they never did. The best they could do for me during the setup process was to get the fan to work, but my A/C would not cool, and when the fan didn't come on the air handler made a low noise that it never made before. The unit itself is not very easy to control. The touch controls aren't very responsive, I had to use a Stylus.
