The design is beautiful The Nest works amazing Always feel happy

We purchased 2of the Nest smoke detectors recently for that added “Peace of Mind” comfort at night or when we are away from home. These units are very modern looking and don’t look like an old-fashioned smoke alarm. They are easy on the eyes!

This is a smoke/carbon monoxide that is easy to install. It can be controlled by your home wifi network. It talks to you and lets you know that it is alright by shining a green light when you turn off the lights.

Easy to set up and install. The night light feature is very cool as well.

Seems to be a good smoke detector. However, have not had any "incidents" yet to really be able to tell. Hope not to. Easy to install. It is nice to be able to have alerts sent to your phone. At least that way if no one is home and the smoke alarm goes off, you will know something is going on and you can call fire department and direct them to go to your house.

Installation was very easy, it does a system check and sends you progress reports twice a month. It has a night light triggered by motion which activates in the dark. A very cool smoke alarm

I have three of these in use and love them. They are actually less prone to false alarm then regular battery powered smoke detectors. Also love the motion sensor night light, what a great feature. Best buy offered these at a great price which helped because they are not cheap.

Nest Protect is a great addition to my other Nest products. It is simple and easy to setup. Once setup is complete, you just let it be. It is a simple way to have an ease of mind when you're not home and the alarm goes off (and obviously when you are home). Highly recommended if you are looking to upgrade/update to a smart home.

This alarm is sensitive enough to smell a curling iron left on too long 15 feet away. The control from an iPhone is great. One of the best perks is that it has a motion detector that turns a nightlight on briefly when you pass under it. I mainly purchased these because if I must have a smoke alarm in my house, it is going to look nice on my ceiling way out in the open.

Have not seen it work yet, but i hope i never have to! I like that it ties to the app for the ability to call 911 if you're not at home.

This was super easy to setup and connect to my network. When/if the alarm goes off not only does it sound like a standard alarm but it alerts us on our phones. This unit exceeded my expectations and when another smoke detector of ours expired I bought a second one of these. They sync up together and both will alert if either one detects smoke or carbon monoxide.

This is absolutely the best carbon and smoke alarm that has hit the market. I love the features and the self-checkup, along with the glowing ring light. Truly a great item to have in any home; it also has a great look that goes with any decorum.

Replaced our failing smoke alarm, one that was monitored by our alarm company with the Google Nest Smoke and CO detector. While on vacation the Nest smoke alarm went off and sent notifications to my phone saying there was smoke and carbon monoxide detected. Was able to view our Google nest cameras and verify there was a fire. Was able to call the neighbor and emergency services to save our home. Awesome product and would highly recommend purchasing. The voice notification saying if its Smoke or CO is great. If you have multiple units they will all go off.

If you use and nest products this is just another great addition. It serves its purpose. When linked to your thermostat you will have a status update emailed to you every month and it performs its own sound test to ensure its working properly. Overall easy install and maintenance free. The self testing and email notification are an added bonus.

This smoke alarm was an easy setup and works great

We recently moved into a house that had a Nest thermostat installed and it was our first experience with it. We liked it so much that we ended up getting the Nest Protect to pair with it. Here are a few reasons why we like the Nest Protect: 1) You can replace the smoke detector in your kitchen with a Nest Protect and if you accidentally set it off with kitchen smoke, you can just press the big button to turn off the alarm. No need to pull the whole thing down and throw it outside or take out the battery like old school models. 2) If you are out of the house or traveling and the carbon monoxide alarm or fire alarm go off, the Nest Protect will alert you through the app. We never thought of it that way, but we like the reassurance that this offers. 3) Most publications suggest that carbon monoxide testers need to be cleaned with a vacuum and replaced every 10 years. It was time for us and we consider the Nest a serious all-in-one upgrade from our "dumb" smoke detectors and carbon monoxide testers.
