Great and integrated to nest app. Light is not overpowering at night which is great!

So glad that we finally have these. Easy to install, easy to check to make sure that are all talking to each other and easy to check when away from home. Really happy with this purchase.

Easy to setup and connect with multiple Protect devices. Haven’t had any issues with these. Detects smoke very well. Nice to have a option to silence alarm if it is a false alarm.

Love the next gen protect. Replacing an older version but this one is much more streamline and easier to install/update.

I went thru battery smoke detectors like cheap socks before I bit the bullet and plunked down $99 bucks for the Nest Protect. Cheap, big box smoke detectors have greatly harmed the smoke/CO2 market by assuming people want inexpensive products in lieu of performance. Nest Protect completely changes this narrative by offering a much needed and trustworthy device that protects your family with the most sophisticated technology available. The unit looks terrific but you already expect that from Nest...the real feature is an affordable life insurance policy that will pay dividends for years to come. I'm fully satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend same to anyone who's serious about detectors in your home.

Nest smoke alarms work well. They are all connected so they pass alerts throughout the house. You can see battery life from the app or website.

I love these things. They are super easy to install. And the hardware is so nicely made. Down the screws used are very high quality. I program all but the one in my bedroom to light my path when I am near by. If there is carbon monixide or smoke it alerts me and I can use the app to silence it. Which I tend to do. I hate hearing the alarm sound especially when I am cooking and its gotten a little smokey but no fire risks

After owning the Nest thermostat for several months, I opted for the Nest Protect. Easy setup and works in conjunction with the thermostat. If you use IFTTT, there are several useful applets available too.

After quickly reading through the instructions, setting up a Nest account, installing and programming the units to the account was a simple operation. I changed out and set up 9 units in under 2 hours.

This one is for the garage. We don't park in there so CO2 shouldn't be an issue. Expensive, but partially paying for peace of mind. Seems to work well although the house hasn't burned down to test it! Wife loves the night light feature though and being able to manage it and check status on your mobile device is nice.

Especially like the smart night light. Unexpected surprise.

I love the nest protect.. it works good but make sure you take it apart and clean everything off ones o year to make sure it works good.

Very easy to set up and works excellent! I was concerned about location from router for one of the units that was placed in the basement.....no problems with signal.... .highly recommended this product!

I got 2 more nest smoke to add to the additional ones I had. This is the 2nd generation model, Compatible With the 1st generations. Been using since 2015 with no problems. The app amazing also.

It's hard to test a smoke dectector.... this purchase just comes down to it looks cooler on your wall, it's another tech gadget and since you need to have one anyway why not get one that's as cool as this
