Installing the product was a snap. Feeling safe in the house while home or away is easy to do with just a click on my phone now. Love the light when it's dark in the hall.

We love our nest! It did at first seem a bit expensive for a thermostat but it’s great and connects to our home security system. Very easy and user friendly

Our second Nest Protect. Easy to install. Had one alert when burgers on the kitchen stove got a little well done. Nest calmly told us to check that area of the house. I was a floor away and heard the same alert on another Nest. My wife had the burgers turned down by the time I got to the kitchen. This system really works!

I replaced all 6 old fashioned detectors with these. No issues so far. Very nice to view important information in the app and run tests etc.

Quick and easy setup and works in the background, with reassurances that "everything is OK". Also able to check in on home from a distance using a cellphone or laptop.

It is really good at keeping you honest on if your smoke detector needs a battery change. They are still about 30 bucks too expensive if you ask me, they are very cool.

The 2nd Gen Nest Protect improves upon a great product. Set up is very easy. The installation takes less than 10 minutes. Now I can check on my house whenever and wherever I am.

This is a great detector. Has a built in night lite that is motion detected. Has Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detection, Talks to other Nest products for total home protection.

In the process of creating a smart home, the Nest smoke / carbon monoxide alarm was a no brainier when it came time to upgrade our current smoke alarm. Because this particular model is battery operated, I was able to install it in an area of concern that was not hard wired. This is great technology with room for improvement but as is, it certainly provides a more secure peace of mind knowing that it can monitor and alert you of a potential problem and the area that may be at risk. Looking forward to adding more Nest products to our home in the near future. Another great buy at Best Buy!
