Easy installation. Looks good. Works good. I definitely recommend.It can be pricey since smoke alarm detectors should be replaced after 7-10 years.

I bought the Battery version of this as I wanted to install it in a place where there was no wired connection. Installation was easy and the product came with batteries pre-installed. I just had to pull the plastic tab out. Once the lights turned on, I connected it to my Nest App. I like that it has various light modes to indicate various statuses as well as notifies your phone when something happens. The best feature I like is the Night Glow feature when the room is completely dark and it provides a subtle light.

It works well with the app and notifications. easy to install and setup. The night lite is a nice feature.

Alarm has not gone off which is very great but the test alarm works great even the nigh light is excellent lighting the way at night. Easy to set up as well.

Impressed with how easy it was to setup, also the nightlight is great. I'm glad I purchased this product.

I’m reasonably tech savvy, but I still chose to read through the entire directions and once I had done that I found that the set up process was a snap. One of my very favorite features is that the system emits a low glowing light in our upstairs hallway when we get up at night. The other unit that is near a light we leave on overnight doesn’t light up which is perfect. One last point- we have a long low house and I like the fact that one unit will speak to another at opposite ends of the house if we have an issue. Recommend this device.

These are great alarms. Very solid, dependable, integrate well with other Nest Protect alarms in a large house. Note that I actually wanted the wired version, but they've been sold out for months, it's not clear if the wired version is coming back. Delivery (when it shown) is currently May of 2025.

I had the Nest 2nd Gen. Thermostat before purchasing this item, so I already had the Nest app on my phone. Adding the protect (plus another one in another part of my house) was super simple! Make sure you get the battery operated one if you don't have existing 120V wires already in place. No anchors were required to mount this because this thing is so light. I have a little extra piece of mind now, knowing that when my wife and I are at work, we can get immediate notifications if there is a fire or a carbon monoxide issue, so we can get help to our 3 dogs.

So easy to install and set up. Amazing features. It has verbal prompts and can do it in different languages too.

Not much more to add to other reviews. Setup and operation is straight forward. Really like the fact that when one is tested it causes every unit to test. I got the battery powered unit for a quick easy installation in the vacinity of my furnace to take advantage of the automatic shut off intergration with the Nest Thermostat.

This is the best smoke detector unit I have had , it is programmable and can be tested and checked through your phone app . another great feature of this detector is when you get up at night it senses your movement and lights up just enough so you can see where your going but mot enough to disturb anyone else. Loud when it needs to be , protecting you from smoke and Carbon Monoxide . I have changed over all my detectors to nests . Comes in battery run or hooked up electrically , just make sure you have the correct one you want before you purchase yours.

Easy to install and set up. Hopefully, I won't every have to put it to the true test, but its light system and speaking voice is very reassuring.

This is the third Nest Protect in our home. Easy setup. Easy mounting. Easy integration to my Nest Network. Love the nightlight feature.

I love everything about these Nest Protects. Easy set up, easy installation. They are very loud while notifying of smoke or gas leak. The color ring is great for those who may be hearing impaired and the path light set up for night time that senses motion and turns on a soft glow to help light the area as you walk through is a cool feature as well. The app is also pretty nice. The only negative I can come up with is they do not link up with Alexa but it's not that big of a negative. Overall very satisfied.

I seen it a friends house and liked the way it looked and fit. I installed it at mine it lights up to even help you in the dark. Detected smoke quickly

Works very well though a little sensitive. It will alert with a little smoke (if you use high heat to sear for instance) but it it is easy to turn off. I keep a broom nearby to reach up to push the off button (and to swept the floor).

I set up 2,one in basement,and one on first floor,and will probably buy another for garage. Easy set up,and can monitor from my smart phone,and know what's going on. Only had them for one month,but so far,so good,no false alarms from nest protect,but had a couple from older pre installed none nest smoke detectors.

great detector, yes a little pricey but worth the money to link between each other and be able to get nest alerts when not even home.

Love the Wi-Fi. Works as intended. Would buy again
