Great start, wish they would add just a little more customization, but does the job.

The future of securing your home is here… but it is not cheap. The one thing the Nest Secure does right is setup. They make it very easy to set thig thing up… and the design of it is very low-key, and white/greyish color, which is great since it will look great with just about every enviornment it could be in. Setup of the app is very quick - all you do is make a nest account, and then, scan the QR code from each device you are adding. Installation of the actual hardware is also pretty easy, via adhesive they include, and also instructions they provide via the app. In my case I got the tags and the Secure unit itself to work with my router very quickly, but have read there can be issues with more obscure routers, but Nest publishes a list of known routers it does have issues with, and work arounds if you do have issues. Professional monitoring is coming very soon by a company calle Moni, but there is no pricing info yet. If you have a NEST cam, what is very cool is you can have the Nest Cam record as soon as it detects motion. Nest secure assigns you a six character PIN, for arming and disarming, but really you just use the tags that they give you, and keep them either on your keys or your wallet. The alarm is really loud at 85 decibels. The PIN is if you loose or don’t have your tags. You can also add Nest “Detect sensors” and they will light up the way thru your home when it dark and someone walks by. All this is very cool, but once you are in, it becomes very expensive to add in all the other features you can use. All in all, being able to monitor you home, and be alerted when something is going on at home.. Very cool.

Purchased one a few weeks before buying this one for my mother. We now have two at both residents and we love it. Family has access to help monitor, and the 24/7 monitor isn’t as much either for the features you get.

One of my favorite security systems to date. the monthly expense is low, the overall aesthetic of the system looks really clean and doesn't take up much room

We switched from SimpliSafe to this, in order to have a system that works with our Google Nest Cameras. It’s a nice system and the key fobs are handy. No issues so far!

It’s a good diy system. Very polished. Hopefully Nest continues to improve .

We have tried to find an alternative security system. Unfortunately this wasn't it. While it may work for your home, it did not for ours. We have solid wood exterior doors and did not want to attach parts to the door and have them damage the doors. Do your research before purchasing a new security system.

Sadly this product has been discontinued by Google, but works well in the Google family of devices (speakers, doorbell & locks)

Easy to setup. Easy to add other items to monitor. Only thing I would change is being able to broadcast any alarm or command to other items such as nest mini.

Love this! Though my only issue is sometimes my cats can trigger it if they’re playing too much around it. Still love it. I feel Safe just having it

Easy to use and effective but cant be battery operated

Kitchen has relatively limited counter space. This looks very nice and has a decent size to it. We have used it to cook pizza, chicken, and fish. All turned out great.

The system was very easy to install and works great with the nest app. Monthly service through brinks is also very affordable. 100% recommended

This product is amazing. It’s super easy to install, easier to operate, and looks fantastic. Why pay expensive monthly fees when this can do the trick do so much less?

I have fiber internet. The fastest internet available in my area. And yet, I still have problems connecting to the system at home. The same problem happens when I'm away from home. On numerous occasions, I cannot connect to arm or disarm.

I picked this up to secure a workshop with a single door and two windows. I wanted something simple to setup, reliable, and easy to use. This fit the bill perfectly. Setup and installation took less than 30 minutes and I was able to configure the system from my phone. It's proven to be as reliable as it was easy to install. I’ve had it installed for almost a month and have not had a single false alarm. I successfully completed several tests. Some have complained the price is a bit steep; however, it is only slightly more than my local security company and much cheaper than those big-named brands. I think if you were to crunch the numbers, you'll see the money is well spent. My home setup cost $725 (includes tax) to include installation for three doors, one additional window, and two area motion sensors. For just as comprehensive of a setup with Nest (this kit and two additional sensors with built-in motion sensors), it would only cost me approximately $665 (includes tax). Key points to note that, while I have no immediate use for under my application, may be of high value to many. Management of the system is integrated with the same app used for cameras and other smart-home devices. You can disable one sensor and the rest remain active. Overall, this is a great starter system with lots of control and the capability to expand as large as you want (for a cost). When considering the current options of remote monitoring, the Nest Secure system not the best option for some… yet. With remote monitoring around the corner, this may be an upcoming #1 option.
