    Will definitely break, so Purchase Geek Squad Plan

    I read the reviews and decided that the few people experiencing problems weren't enough to deter me. I do regret it. As most of the internet will tell you, the Nest Guard will stop being able to detect wifi, in my case about 30 days in. Note that this is past the 15 day refund window. Even factory resetting won't help the problem. Apparently, this is a known problem with Nest and Google, which begs the question of why it is legal to sell defective products to people. That said, I did purchase the two-year geek squad replacement plan just in case. Thank god that I did. I'm going to return this thing and replace it, at which point I have to buy ANOTHER protection plan in case this second one burns out on day 16. If the second one doesn't work, I am getting a full refund.

    Terrible experience across many products

    Cameras are OK for a few months. Then kept going offline intermittently. Two out of six cameras simply died. I received free replacements but still too many issues. Customer support and tech support in my experience, although courteous, they are extremely unexperienced hacks just answering phones and reading from the same trouble shooting guides that I have up on my screen. Similar bad experiences with Nest Protect Smoke Detectors and Nest Thermostats My Nest Hello, holy crap, that was my worst experience I wish I knew this before spending Thousands $$$$$$ of dollars. I’m done with Google Nest products. I’ll be trying out Amazon Ring products going forward.

    Nest Detect Flaw

    If you have the Nest Detect on a door and turn off motion it won't turn off. It always stays on no matter how many times you slide the Detect's motion setting to "off." Support says it is a known issue. I can't even use my system as I don't want motion detection on my doors. I only want it on the walls and the Detects I have chosen to have it on. Reset system and Detects many times to no avail. Disappointed!

    If you want reliable, find another product!!

    I have Five door/window sensors connected to my system. All five go offline at least ten times per day. Support had me reset the base unit and three days later, the same issue continues. Now, support wants me to remove and replace all the batteries: of course, the adhesives come off when you try to open the item. This is a huge waste of money!!

    Even “Functioning Correctly” it Doesn’t Work

    We pay for their monthly recordings that are triggered with movement or sound. We get squirrels, cars driving by, us walking in the door, recordings of cars driving by, but not the thief that had to walk almost through the front door to steal. Convenient that it didn’t catch the actual movement we paid for it to catch and they said we should get the 24/7 monitoring. Save your money and buy a better product.

    Don't buy this! Google just dropped this item, since they are focusing on a product with ADT. This was announced in Oct 2020. Again, this is not supported by Google anymore. Do not buy!

    sensors went offline suddenly and could not be rep=-paired. Called support. Of course, no clue. And no replacement. They want their engineer to take a DEEP look 1st
