Placed this in our master bedroom so that the temperature was exact near our bed while we sleep. Easy to connect to existing Nest system.

An excellent way to add temperature monitoring for multiple rooms with the newer versions of the Nest smart thermostat. They seem a little pricey, but they look nice and connect easily to the thermostat.

Ok so my thermostat and everyone I have ever seen is at a height to set temp for like 5 ft off the ground. If you have kids you should get the temp at their height. This thermostat sensor gives you the option to know the temp of your house at a kid experiences it.

Our thermostat is in a pretty bad place so this really helps monitor somewhere better. Our babies room tends to run cold or hot so we have it there. Unfortunately you cannot create a custom program where it uses one sensor over the other. The babies are pretty much only in their room when they are napping so it’s be nice to just switch to the main sensor automatically. So ours is basically only set to use that room as the main sensor. My house came with the Nest thermostat but if I was able to buy it myself I would choose the Ecobee. It’s a little easier to manage schedules based on different sensors. Had it at our last house.

We put this in our bedroom to help regulate temperatures at night. It seems to work great and keep the house more comfortable. Extremely easy to set up and use.

This is a simple device that is battery powered (2 years/battery, they say). Just set it in the room you want to have determining the furnace's temperature, connect to the Next app using your phone, and set when you want this sensor to provide the temperature reading for the furnace. Only downside is that you can't customize the schedule--there are 4-hour time blocks that you can choose from. So, for instance, we have the sensor in a front guest bedroom that gets unusually warm in the mornings. When we have a guest staying in there we go into the app and turn on this sensor for the 7am-11am timeframe, and then the furnace stops when that bedroom reaches it's set temperature. The rest of the house is 2 degrees cooler during those hours as a result, though.

Easy to set up. Works well as I set this up in my office which is away from the main thermostat. Since I spend most of the day in my office I have the thermostat set to read the temp. sensor in the office during the day so I don't freeze.

For the price I’m not a fan, but I love what they do. Getting an accurate reading of the rooms in my house is great for energy saving, when I want to heat/cool a specific section.

I have a 3 story house. One sensor in the basement and one sensor upstairs. They are great to set the temp off of, depending on the time of year and if company is visiting or not.

This is a nice feature if you have the most expensive Google learning thermostat. It's nice and small, easy to move to different parts of the house as needed and connects easily.

Nothing really exciting here, just another solid product from Google. I use my Nest temperature sensors with a 3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat to monitor the temps in the other areas of my house besides the hallway where the thermostat is. Since we're not spending our time in the hall its nice to have sensor in other rooms to maintain comfortable climate levels. If you're using a Nest thermostat you should give one a try.

Works great. I needed this since I have rooms that have a big difference in temperature from where the termostat is. This sensor allows you to pair it with the thermostat and pick which to use to base the furnace or a/c usage on, either the sensor or the thermostat. This is great for me cause one room is always hot so it is used to determine the temp in the summer and I move it back to the thermostat in the winter.

This is an absolute must for anyone with a Nest thermostat. I've had Nest for years and it worked great in my old house... then moved. It had trouble keeping up and properly regulating the temperatures between the different floors. I decided to purchase these and they've made all the difference. My house is now cool when I need it cool, and warm when I need it warm. Worth every penny - just do yourself a favor and purchase when you get the thermostat... save yourself the headache! Love these.

I needed to add a sensor to my nest thermostat as it lives in the hallway by the garage and laundry room. Needless to say there were days it got too cold when I was home bc of going in and out of the laundry room and garage due to the temps there. In the short time I have had this (installed in the living room) the AC unit isn't running near as much which is saving me money on that electric bill. Looking forward to seeing the savings that will pay this sensor off easily within the first year.

I purchased several of these and placed them strategically around my home to read the temperature of the rooms in which we spend the most time. I love that you can have the Nest Thermostat set the temperature based on one of the sensors instead of the thermostat itself. Thermostats are generally installed in a hallway in the center of the home, where no one generally hangs out. I tell my Nest to use the living room sensor during the day, since this is where we are when we're awake, and set it to use the bedroom sensor at night where we're sleeping. Such a great thing to have!

Have had the thermostat for a few years now and decided to tweak temperatures by floor. I placed the sensor in the upstairs bedroom and instructed Nest to keep the temperature between 64-67 F after 9 pm. Yes, we like it a little cooler at night. According to sensor readings, the upstairs is about 2 degrees cooler than the living room where the thermostat is located. In any case, I'm fond of using the sensor to achieve a temperature that is comfortable for the entire family!
