I live in an old house. The temperature in the bedroom is either to hot to too cold at night depending on the time of year. By placing this device in my bedroom, I can set the temp of the bedroom at night. There are no wires to connect. The downstairs thermostat uses this as the goal temperature.

Great idea to monitor entire house. Makes it very easy to adjust your comfort based on what part of the house your in. They can be placed anywhere and have been extremely reliable. Best purchase I ever made.

Outstanding!! Stop looking and buy this for your Google Nest. We use this to balance out the temp in our home during all year around. During the summer and winter the kids bedrooms are hotter/cooler than the thermostat in the hallway. This device allows make sure our kids are not too cool or hot through the year.

These are handing for monitoring and adujusting heating and coolsing levels in my 3 story home. They Pari with the next Thurmostat.

This item works great. I placed it in my child's room. It is like adding another thermostat for a fraction of the cost. As long as it is within range of your nest, it will act as a thermostat in the other room. You can select on the app which item you want use to control the temperature. An amazing addition to your nest system.

I love seeing the temperature in each of the kids rooms, and I like that you can make it the primary controller for different times of the day. I almost only gave 4 stars because you can only divide the day in thirds, and not do it by the hour, which I think is an update Nest needs to incorporate soon, but it's a huge step in the right direction. We use them daily.

These are a great addition to the Nest thermostat. Our thermostat is In a hallway that is isolated from living areas. I placed one in the family room, one in the kitchen and another in the master bedroom. I have schedules set up to maintain temps like we want them.

I have a larger space that I needed to heat/air and the location of my Nest Smart Thermostat (gen 3) was accurately reading the temp in the hallway it was located - I preferred getting a temp reading from my master bedroom and purchased this unit which really works quite well and totally seamless.

Not much to say on this as it is an external sensor that only works with Gen. 3 Nest thermostats and the "E" model. It won't work with pre Gen3. Pairs up easily and provides an accurate temp. if you want it to be the primary temp to trigger the unit just have to set it as such in the app.

As part of my smart home, I really like how the Nest temperature sensors give the ability to monitor temperatures elsewhere in the home other than just at the thermostat. As the season is transitioning to the heating time of the year, I’ve just determined that I need another sensor for my house (which I'm in the process of purchasing).

My bedroom is always difficult to control the temperature at night, since it's above the garage and always cooler in the winter that the thermostat, but varies depending on the outside temp. You can set a schedule for which times the system looks at which sensor, but a few things to keep in mind: 1) you can only have it look at one sensor at a time. You can't have it monitor multiple rooms to keep temps in a range. It's not that smart. 2) the schedule times are set, and you can't change the start and end times. For example, you have: Morning 7am to 11 am, midday 11am to 4pm, evening 4pm to 9pm, and night 9pm to 7am. Those times where it automatically changes which sensor are set, but at any time, you can manually switch it on the app or the thermostat. It's battery operated and small and can sit in a horizontal surface or mount to a vertical surface with included hardware. I don't know how long the battery work last, and I don't know what kind it is. I'll have to look it up when it's time to change it.

In addition to adding a return duct to our master bedroom we first put the temperature sensor in the room which made a world of difference when your windows get direct sun all day and the nest thermostat isn’t getting a true reading of the room and just the hallway. Highly recommended for anyone who has a hot room

I like knowing what the temperature is in every room. At night I can set the temperature to my bedroom, and keep it at the ideal temp for sleeping. The only drawback is that when the battery needs to be changed in a sensor, the thermostat has to be rebooted before that sensor can reconnect. This information is nowhere in any of the instructions for the Nest thermostat. I had to find it in a web forum.

My brother has been using the temperature sensors with his Nest Learning Thermostat. He has been extremely happy with the way they work, and I was excited to get these for my home. Unfortunately, I received them only to find out that they are not compatible with the older 2nd generation thermostats. Make sure that you have the correct thermostat before ordering.

Due to the location of our new Google Nest Thermostat (hallway with no ventilation ducts) we purchased the Nest Temperature Sensor, to place in our living room. Sensor can be mounted on wall or simply placed on flat surface. No installation needed. We only had product for about 3 weeks. Hopefully, it will help lower our electric bill.

This product allows you to set you Thermostat to the area in which you set this up. so find the coldest or the warmest area of your home that you want to maintain your thermostat setting to and there you go. My sons' room is usually 2-5 degrees colder or warmer than the thermostat location. Remember never set up in direct sunlight

These are a must have if you have your nest in an odd spot in your house. Being able to have the temp controlled from one specific room is a game changer.

This is a great (and almost necessary) addition to the Nest thermostat. Adding the temp sensor has helped to better maintain the overall temperature throughout our house. We didn’t mount it, so it can be moved from room to room as conditions change. Single vs three pack may be dependent upon the size of your house/business.

We have 2 thermostats and both are in hallways. Our bedrooms, especially the master bedroom, would always be freezing cold or insanely hot because of this. We put sensors in our bedroom and the living room, and it really has seemed to regulate the temperature. Overall I am very happy with this product and would recommend.
