Sensor setup was easy and mounting was just as easy. Now I can see the temps in the different areas and also set them as the set point when I need to. I would definitely recommend if you have multiple zones and large living space that you would like th manage the HVAC better.

I didn't understand the purpose of a sensor at first. Now I see it let's you know the temperature in another room where there is a greater temperature change. Easy to use and install. You can switch between temperature option in the nest app. Definitely an alternative to rerouting vents.

This was easy to set up. Instructions are very clear. Paired quickly with my Nesy E. The sensor was needed because the nest thermostat was getting a false reading from air conditioning or heat going up the steps to the nest thermostat located in middle of upstairs hallway.

This product is just what I needed. I installed a Nest 3rd Gen thermostat in an older townhouse with a basement and a second floor. The Nest thermostat is on the main floor. Getting the upstairs and basement to temperature has always been a chore. These sensors help with that issue. I put 1 sensor in the basement and 1 in each of the 2 upstairs bedrooms. What these sensors do is allow you to change the control to one of the sensors rather than the thermostat, depending upon where you are at a given time. For instance, you can set the temperature to 70 in the bedroom if that's where you are and you have a sensor there. Keep in mind that these only change which location of your home the temperature is based off of. In my situation, I can set the heat on the thermostat on the main floor to 70. Usually, the basement would be 65 and the upstairs rooms would be about 67-68 because of old bendy ductwork. I can now set the master bedroom sensor to be the control so that room gets to 70. Unfortunately, that would mean that the main floor would end up being 72-73. Nothing is perfect, but this is much better than the alternative.

This is a great addition to the nest thermostat. worked flawlessly, and connected the nest thermostat with no issues. I like for being about to see room to room or if your thermostat is in a bad spot you can you the sensor as the thermostat. Unfortunately I just had too many issues with the nest thermostat and had to bail on it and the sensors.

Love the Nest system can’t beat it. It’s nice to be able to see what temps certain rooms are at, and be able to control the temps off the nest thermostat, I put one in my bedroom, office, and living room. Pairing is easy!

Our apartment agency installed Nest thermostats in all the units over the summer. It worked well and we were very excited to have it. When winter cane though, our apartment was freezing, despite having the temperature set to 77. We got this sensor hoping it would make a difference, and it sure did! It turns out our apartment was actually 60 degrees, and the thermostat was reading the temperature of the closet where the heater is located. Since we switched to using this sensor, the apartment has been comfortable with the thermostat only set to 70 degrees. My parent’s house feels comfortable without the sensor, so I’m assuming the insulation is better. It’s annoying to pay for this extra component, but I highly recommend it if you know your house isn’t insulated well.

This temperature sensor was a great add on to my upstairs heating zone. I always felt like Mt kids room was a little cooler than the Master Bedroom. I installed this in the kids room then in the Nest app I set it to control the Nest 3rd gen temperature rather than the actual Master thermostat. After reviewing the history on it for 2 weeks I found their room was averaging 3 degrees cooler than the Master. Now if I set the temp to say 70° it will be 70° in their room rather than 66 or 67. It does end up making the Master a bit warmer overall but that's fine by me. Works well, easy to set up and you can easily select whether you want the thermostat to control Temps or the sensor. I'd certainly recommend this if you have a variation in heat for a zone.

It's small and captures the temp in the room, which is exactly what it's supposed to do. We really need an option that senses humidity as well. When you live near the cost in a very wintery location, being aware of the dryness in my kid's room during the winter or the mugginess during the summer is important. Really need

Love this! Certain rooms just run warmer than others and this helps to correct that. This was so simple 5o install (took literally 1 to 2 mins) and keeps our house so much more comfortable! I have recommended these to so many people!

We have a 2 story house where the top story temperature is notably different from the main floor where are Nest thermostat is located. This little device has pretty much solved that issue for us. Installed very quickly and sits on a counter. So small that it doesn't stand out.

We were so pleased with our first three pack we went back and bought another 3 pack. Great for temperature monitoring and they’re small enough so they don’t stick out. Does not work well in temps below 50 we discovered. Still a great product!

I've been using Nest products for years, starting with their original Learning Thermostat, and the only issue I've ever had with them is lack of multi-point sensors. Competitors have had them for some time, and the temperature variation in my house is significant enough that I was considering switching smart thermostats solely because of that lack. Glad I didn't; the addition of these sensors solved my problem, and their design, efficiency, build quality and ease of use are everything I've come to expect from Nest. A good system is now an excellent one. The only thing that would make it better is if the sensors (or some combination of Nest devices) could automatically tell what room you are in and adjust accordingly; currently you have tell it which sensor to use (either manually or via a schedule.) This, however, is a minor quibble at best, and in no way detracts from the usefulness of the system.

Remain a fan of NEST, even after the acquisition by Google. It is easy to install and the second sensor allows for temperature monitoring in the hallway during the day and master bedroom at night. Highly recommend if you have more than 1,800 square feet of area to heat/cool.

The gadget measures room temperature and connects with my Nest thermostat allowing for adjusting optimal temperature for the room. Keep in mind depending on your a/c duct layout, other rooms might get colder or warmer. This gadget allows for measuring and adjusting temperature in the room it is placed.

Living in an older home with large rooms, it can be very hard to keep certain areas warm. These sensors are a godsend! They took care of the problem with heat virtually over night! So easy to use and worth every penny! Love them!

it keeps you upgrading... In truth this is not one of those items you regret upgrading ... You have to have Nest Gen 3 to use these sensor, so hence the upgrading remark... But so Kool and worth it because you get more then one isolated and single temp. And instead get multiple zones of specified custom heating and cooling to the room you need. Moreover knowing what the true Temp of your basement, bedroom and/or baby room is extremal valuable.. Because a single hall way Nest is not as effective in my opinion.. Some how I fell this item is great for a family of empty nester or a family with a single baby and feel it would be some work for accompany a bigger family.. But I'm sure it can be done because a one thermostat house is just as tricky because some one is always hot and some one is always cold... but I'm sure this item will help with that.

We have multiple rooms and kids. Its nice to monitor room temperature without having to sneak when they're sleeping and check the clock thermostat. I just open nest app to check room temps, but also can match the home's heating/cooling to match rooms assigned temp. Just wish price was $40. I think $30 or even $25 would've been fair.

I now have two of these sensors. I use the original sensor in my bedroom so that I can set the nighttime temperatures to make sure that I'm comfortable while I'm sleeping. I've had that sensory for a few years and it works great! I just bought another sensor recently so that I can monitor the basement temperature from anywhere.
