Very accurate reading, I switch to the Nest temp sensor on the hottest part of the day. Comes in handy in my living room since it has cathedral ceilings. I definitely recommend it for anyone who has a hot zone in your home at different times of day.

Pkg well and arrived on time. One note; you have to take the back plate off to get the code, if you don't use the QR code. Great product for your Nest Thermostat. I put one in our crawlspace for my knowledge of how cold it was getting for all the pipes so they don't freeze. Also put one in the Attic, to see how much warm air or any major temperature changes from the main house. Also, put one in the garage since I do work in it and have stuff stored. And a few wall pipes for garden hoses. The walls inside the garage I found out have no installation, built back in the 1990's.

Works great if you have a room that runs hotter or colder. That's the story of our living room where we spend most of our time. This helps the home stay steady throughout the day. Worth it!

Easy installation. I have mine on the second floor And so far I don’t have to constantly turn the thermostat up or down. It keeps the temp and a constant degree. I highly recommend if you have a second floor or basement.

This was easy to set up and now lets my Nest monitor the temperature in my office during the day while I work from home. This is my second sensor, the first was in my bedroom to monitor the temperature while I slept. Works great.

Bought this thermostat sensor to place in our newborns room. Its really great. Allows us to set our Nest to read off this thermostat as specified times to make sure the temperature in our childs room stays ideal. Highly recommend if you need a climate controled room.

The sensor is in a manufactured home in the main bedroom approximately 35 feet horizontally from the Nest thermostat in the living room and I get the message "weak connection to the thermostat" in the Nest app. I'd assume the range would be reduced even more in a larger house or multi level dwelling with more walls and ceilings to go thru. The message comes and goes and there is almost a direct line of sight to the thermostat when the bedroom door is open. There is also no scheduling option for the sensor. You manually change it to the sensor and it will revert back to the main Nest at the next time you have a temperature change set on the schedule. So you can't tell it to use the sensor at let's say midnight when you may go to bed and then back to the Nest in the living room at 8am when you'd get up. It half works because you'd manually tell the Nest to use the sensor in the app or the Nest and it would then automatically change to the Nest in the living room at the next scheduled temperature change. You can't do a daily or weekly scheduling between the sensor and Nest.

These are actually great additions for your Nest thermostat. Easy to set up and hang or just leave on shelves. Makes your Nest that much more effective if you use it; can also function as just a room temperature meter. Getting more.

This product is a must have to go with the nest thermostat. I bought this when I was buying the nest thermostat without really understanding its benefits. It allows you to set the thermostat to set any room in your house. I would recommend putting one upstairs if your thermostat is downstairs. This allows you to set the thermostat to the coldest room in the winter or the hottest room in the summer so that the upstairs temperature is at desired comfort level. I’m not sure you need multiple of these as I’m still experimenting. I think it would depend on the size of your house. I chose not to mount mine and place it on a dresser.

The Nest temperature sensor is a great addition to the Nest thermostat. The set-up is really easy and it works great. Very useful when you have a room that seems to always be cold because the thermostat isn't nearby.

Since we moved in we’ve had issues with our Movie room being hotter than any other section of the house. Since we purchased the sensor we haven’t had an issue. Love it. Easy to set up, easy to use and works extremely well.

Installation was a snap and the unit is performing as advertised. The unit helps cool our master bedroom which is usually warmer than the rest if the house but then the rest if the house is freezing. Worth it to me.

The temperature sensor is a great addition to the Nest thermostat system. It allows you to set a temperature in an area of your house or apartment that doesn't have an active thermostat. Installation takes seconds.

Very nice addition to our nest programmable thermostat. Easy to link up and works great to keep another room at equal temperature to the room the thermostat is in.

Though I installed these during the summer and have yet to experience a winter where these are used, I expect this to help me address an issue I have with a poor thermostat location, multiple bedrooms, and a single zone of heating for those bedrooms. I can currently log into my Next app on my phone and see the current temperature in each of these bedrooms (cool feature), and look forward to see how this performs during a winter. I'll update the review if I find the results to be anything less than stellar (recognizing that with three bedrooms to control with one heat zone, I will likely never get perfection).

Very easy setup and pairing with my Google Nest smart thermostat. Very useful when the thermostat is not in an ideal location for sensing the floor temperature.

Does a great job helping to keep our upstairs bedrooms at the right temperature. I have a sensor in each of the 4 bedrooms. Also very easy to setup.

We received the sensor with the purchase of the nest. It’s a great idea when you want a specific room you see in a different temperature. Easy to mount and a plus with the Nest.

Does what it’s suppose to do, and not real obvious hanging on the wall. Have it in my bedroom and works well to keep the room cool when sleeping.

The temperature sensor itself does exactly what you expect, and it was easy to set up. My only real critique at this time is the fact that you have to manually select which sensor or thermostat for the system to use when determining what Target Temp you are going for. If Nest could come up with a way to auto detect occupancy based off of the proximity sensors on the thermostat or other nest products in the house (which many are able to do already) the system could automatically adjust the heating or cooling to target where people are hanging out. This would totally be a five star add-on if the overall system was more intelligent, so the four star rating isn't so much about the sensor itself but how it's being used by the system. The good news is that the company just needs some improvements in how their infrastructure and programming works which is totally possible down the road with updates.
