Good but needs better scheduling
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our thermostat is in a pretty bad place so this really helps monitor somewhere better. Our babies room tends to run cold or hot so we have it there. Unfortunately you cannot create a custom program where it uses one sensor over the other. The babies are pretty much only in their room when they are napping so it’s be nice to just switch to the main sensor automatically. So ours is basically only set to use that room as the main sensor. My house came with the Nest thermostat but if I was able to buy it myself I would choose the Ecobee. It’s a little easier to manage schedules based on different sensors. Had it at our last house.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We put this in our bedroom to help regulate temperatures at night. It seems to work great and keep the house more comfortable. Extremely easy to set up and use.

Neat way to keep room cooler in the morning!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a simple device that is battery powered (2 years/battery, they say). Just set it in the room you want to have determining the furnace's temperature, connect to the Next app using your phone, and set when you want this sensor to provide the temperature reading for the furnace. Only downside is that you can't customize the schedule--there are 4-hour time blocks that you can choose from. So, for instance, we have the sensor in a front guest bedroom that gets unusually warm in the mornings. When we have a guest staying in there we go into the app and turn on this sensor for the 7am-11am timeframe, and then the furnace stops when that bedroom reaches it's set temperature. The rest of the house is 2 degrees cooler during those hours as a result, though.

Pricy but possibly worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I’m not a fan, but I love what they do. Getting an accurate reading of the rooms in my house is great for energy saving, when I want to heat/cool a specific section.

Choice Comfort
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice feature if you have the most expensive Google learning thermostat. It's nice and small, easy to move to different parts of the house as needed and connects easily.

Must-Have Accessory for Nest Thermostat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased several of these and placed them strategically around my home to read the temperature of the rooms in which we spend the most time. I love that you can have the Nest Thermostat set the temperature based on one of the sensors instead of the thermostat itself. Thermostats are generally installed in a hallway in the center of the home, where no one generally hangs out. I tell my Nest to use the living room sensor during the day, since this is where we are when we're awake, and set it to use the bedroom sensor at night where we're sleeping. Such a great thing to have!

A very reassuring product
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This made my mind be at ease. My wife and I have a baby and we wanted to make sure that the temperature in his room was comfortable for him. This product allowed for him to have a good nights rest every night.

Good for prioritizing temperature in diff rooms
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does what it's supposed to. Monitors the temperature downstairs because the thermostat is upstairs. I set a schedule in the nest app for this thermostat to use the downstairs temperature where I am most of the time during the day. Works like it's supposed to

Works as advertised. No surprises.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing really exciting here, just another solid product from Google. I use my Nest temperature sensors with a 3rd gen Nest Learning Thermostat to monitor the temps in the other areas of my house besides the hallway where the thermostat is. Since we're not spending our time in the hall its nice to have sensor in other rooms to maintain comfortable climate levels. If you're using a Nest thermostat you should give one a try.

A MUST have for any Nest thermostat!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an absolute must for anyone with a Nest thermostat. I've had Nest for years and it worked great in my old house... then moved. It had trouble keeping up and properly regulating the temperatures between the different floors. I decided to purchase these and they've made all the difference. My house is now cool when I need it cool, and warm when I need it warm. Worth every penny - just do yourself a favor and purchase when you get the thermostat... save yourself the headache! Love these.

It's the little things
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to add a sensor to my nest thermostat as it lives in the hallway by the garage and laundry room. Needless to say there were days it got too cold when I was home bc of going in and out of the laundry room and garage due to the temps there. In the short time I have had this (installed in the living room) the AC unit isn't running near as much which is saving me money on that electric bill. Looking forward to seeing the savings that will pay this sensor off easily within the first year.

Good addition to Nest Thermostat
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had the thermostat for a few years now and decided to tweak temperatures by floor. I placed the sensor in the upstairs bedroom and instructed Nest to keep the temperature between 64-67 F after 9 pm. Yes, we like it a little cooler at night. According to sensor readings, the upstairs is about 2 degrees cooler than the living room where the thermostat is located. In any case, I'm fond of using the sensor to achieve a temperature that is comfortable for the entire family!

Good but hoping for sw uodate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In general this product fies what one would expect it to do: shift the temperature sensing point from the thermostat to another room - the room where thd temperature sensor sets. The instructions on how to set it up are not up to Google's usual plug-and-use quality. And their help line ranges 10/perfect to 1/useless. On both my cellphone and tablet, the Nest app takes considerably more yinf to connect. 1) set up the master schedule mixing thermostat controlled temperatures with temp-sensor temperatures. 2) Under the gear, licste Manage Sensors. Faults: 3. From there select the time slots(not the days of the week!) to be temperstutecontrkedby the sensor. 4.) Note that the time slots are pre-allocated and not customer configurable.

Definite need if you have hot/cold rooms
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. I needed this since I have rooms that have a big difference in temperature from where the termostat is. This sensor allows you to pair it with the thermostat and pick which to use to base the furnace or a/c usage on, either the sensor or the thermostat. This is great for me cause one room is always hot so it is used to determine the temp in the summer and I move it back to the thermostat in the winter.

You need it if you have kids
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so my thermostat and everyone I have ever seen is at a height to set temp for like 5 ft off the ground. If you have kids you should get the temp at their height. This thermostat sensor gives you the option to know the temp of your house at a kid experiences it.

The greatest Nest add-on!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a 100 year old walk- up in Chicago which makes regulating your inside temperature a challenge especially in the winter. Getting a 3rd generation Nest thermostat went a long way to fixing this issue. The only problem spot that remained was unfortunately my bedroom. It was always a bit warmer in the summer and colder in the winter. By adding this super easy to setup and install sensor I could set my bedroom to be the temperature I desired while I slept. It then wound use the main thermostat during the day. It is better than sliced bread!!

Perfect addition to Nest Thermostat
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sensor does exactly what it says it does. My son's bedroom does not cool down like the rest of the house, so I put this sensor in his room to monitor how warm it gets. I set the thermostat to read off this, and his room cools down. When the rest of the house gets too cold, I change it to read its own. It's a learning thermostat, so I am hoping it will pick up the time pattern to automatically adjust.
