Installation was straight forward and I was able to use the existing Nest trim rings. Took two tries to get the google home app to recognize one of them but everything ultimately synced up. Would definitely recommend.

It’s simple and blend in with my home. You rarely notice that it’s there. I love the product, and it maintains the temperature and I barely notice the heater is on

Easy to navigate once I got used to the touch sensitivity. I've linked it to my Alexa & love the convenience of telling Alexa to adjust the temp or using the Google app when not at home.

Since our boiler tends to cause problems, I wanted a thermostat that would allow me to see problems when I'm out of town during the winter months. This will allow me to have the breakdowns fixed before the house (pipes) freeze. I like being able to check and change the temperature from my iPhone. I haven't a need for it to "learn" my heating habits. I'll eventually program it to adjust the temp several times per day, but I only desire set times and changes.

Great smart thermostat

My old thermostat did not have one. You pop off the cover on your furnace and the C wire is clearly labeled on the board. Go to a hardware store buy 5 wire thermostat wire and ran it in 15 mins and cost $20. It's not rocket science. You can do it. Google home app is fine. All my devices are on it so adding this to that app is better than using the separate nest app. IMO. Very clean looking. I actually prefer the non mechanical setup on the hardware. The other models that twist etc will just break eventually. Also, you bought a smart thermostat why would you touch it??? Overall great product, hopefully it is as durable and lasts for years like non smart thermostats. Time will tell.

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The thermostat does what is advertised - but it is not as simple to understand A/C unit compatibility as I had hoped. We have an old (1970's?) all-in-one packaged HVAC in an apartment, and the Nest sometimes doesn't have control of the unit fan. So even if the cooling or heating are off, the circulating fan stays on - I can't tell if this is caused by incompatibility or just my old A/C unit. Ultimately I like being able to use Google Home to control the thermostat wirelessly. The touch controls are average.

Switched to this one and it's been great! Easy to read, easy to use, and the app is pretty easy too (Google Home app). Hooking it up was straight-forward and simple. The setup wasn't too bad, but it complained about the "C" wire. I reseated it and still had issues. I looked it up and saw that many people had to reset it to get it to work. Reset to factory settings, completed setup again, and it worked!
