I'm not even sure why I purchased it other than we have a lot of google devices and I thought they'd integrate well. This is a terrible system if you want to connect through ethernet. The wifi coverage is not terrible but it doesn't live up to its claims. Next home, we're going with Unify.

Posted .Hey there, JohndC. We’re sorry to hear the Nest Wifi Pro wasn’t quite what you were looking for. Here are a few tips to getting the best possible connection:
1. Your device is far from your Wifi router: often moving your device closer to your router or point will result in improved connection.
2. Building materials and other objects may slow your connection: if possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
3. Some devices do not support the faster Wi-Fi standards: speed is dependent on both the router or point and the device that is connected to it. If you have an older device, it may not support the latest standards for the fastest speeds.

Big Disappointment - very Slow Wifi

(Two points are hardwired, ethernet). I have 500down, 50up fiberoptic service. The Google Home app says that my mesh is working properly, and that I have "blazing" internet speeds, down and up.... but this is at the input to the Google Nest Pro Router. ISP confirms that their modem is receiving and transmitting correctly. The Problem - THE BIG PROBLEM - Google Nest Pro Mesh WIFI speeds are unacceptably slow... only about 150Mbps for download...but still near 50Mbps for upload. We've jumped through every loop to resolve this issue but are getting NO WHERE. I have a security system of Google Nest Wifi cameras that now keep dropping out of connection. VERY DISAPPOINTED. As soon as I find a better system, this 3-pack is going back to Best Buy. I might just put my old NetGear Nighthawk back into service. That worked fine. I just wanted the fancy Mesh system- that works fine - entire building has WIFI in the 150Mbps range. As I said, very disappointed.

Got this to replace my old Google mesh that newer devices were having a hard time staying connected to. I am glad I upgraded. Setup was easy. Everything is connecting and staying connected.

The Google Home app guides you through each step with simple instructions and in a matter of only a few minutes, your home network is delivering an internet connection to your whole house. The app also shows you how to optimize the Wi-Fi signal of each device by placing them in the best location throughout your house. Then, when it's all done, it lets you test your download speeds to see how fast your internet is. Boom!

In this case pro means set it and walk away. Limited in configuration but works. It does exactly what we expected and is more than fantastic to cover our house. Sometimes easier is better. Tired of fighting with your Wi-Fi, you won’t here. Tired of trying to automate your home and coming up short, not here. The pro version here… it just works. If you have a connection faster than 1Gb, you may want to look elsewhere, but this problem has been documented everywhere. If you just want to turn it on and forget about it, then you have the right one.
