It connects to my Google home hub and it shows the picture on the screen. Also love how it uses my googles as the speakers for the door bell chime. Easy to install and set up. I was somewhat skeptical on the use of it at first, but it has been a great addition. I hardwired it so can't speak to the battery life. The picture quality is excellent, even at night (though I do have landscape lighting that helps).

I recommend tinkering with the settings if you live on a high traffic street/sidewalk as the battery will still eventually die if you're capturing too many events

I'm not the most handy person with installs but I did not have any trouble getting unit installed and then setup on the app. I was up and running in reasonable amount of time.
