Like the alerts to my phone when someone is close, has a package, etc. Just wish they didn't make you get the subscription to unlock all of your past history. It's already pretty expensive as a stand alone device and then they want to charge you monthly to unlock all the features, but you don't necessarily have to.

Nest has long been focused on delivering quality products to our customers. We’re also focused on giving our customers value for the price, including three hours of event history right out of the box for the first time ever. On-device processing also gives our customers smart alerts and Activity Zones, which historically have required a subscription. There's no fee to stream full resolution live video and receive basic notifications, as long as your camera is connected to the internet. And the Nest Cam (battery) comes with event video history without a subscription which will automatically expire and be deleted after 3 hours. I like that Google does not require a subscription to Nest Aware to use the product, but without the subscription there are some limitations. The recordings are only available for 3 hours, so if you miss it within that window, you won't have access to the footage. Overall, have no issues.

Your Nest doorbell could be detecting a lot of activities, as the battery life will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and doorbell settings that you select. You can extend the battery life of your doorbell by adjusting video quality, length of video clips, time between recorded events, and using activity zones to monitor specific areas. Also, if you have to charge the battery more often than you should, you may consider connecting your doorbell to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Doorbell (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use. You can also connect your Nest doorbell to the doorbell system wires if you have one. Connecting to continuous power will keep the battery charged.
