Good video resolution. The best service isn’t too expensive for 24/7 recording. Easily detached so think about this. Nice color! Works great with google home as it pops up when pressed.

Hate we need a different app to see doorbell view when I still have the old IQ outdoor cameras. Video quality also looks different. Now if you didn’t use Nest before, its a decent device. Love that its wireless and battery life last a good amount of time before needing to be charged. Notification alert is delayed and sometimes freezes before I can see whose at the door. Connects to your google home which is nice but if you have the speaker low volume, you can miss the doorbell ring. Nighttime footage is ok but there’s a spotlight right above the doorbell so image at night clear. Hope this helps :)

Our priority with this launch was building a complete experience for our new cameras and doorbell in the Google Home app. Our teams are working on enabling the ability to set up and control older Nest cameras in the Home app so users will have one app to control all of their devices, and we’re working on bringing full functionality to the Google Home app as we want to create an integrated experience with other Nest and smart home devices. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Users with older cameras can view their camera feeds in the Google Home app alongside the new Nest Cams.
You can adjust your cameras’ video quality that may improve the resolution. The higher the video quality setting you choose, the sharper and more detailed your footage can be, but it also uses more of your internet bandwidth. This setting lets you pick the maximum video quality for your cameras. But whichever level you choose, your camera will automatically adjust its resolution and compression according to how much bandwidth is available. Also, you can connect a Google speaker or display and set up visitor announcements if you want to get notified when someone rings your doorbell when you’re home. You'll only get visitor announcements on your speakers and displays if they are set up in the same home as your doorbell in the Home app.
Lastly, while we expect notifications to be received instantly (or within minutes), there are several factors that may prevent this. Network delays from the camera to Google Nest’s servers, and from servers to the device affect overall delivery speed. Also, it could be with the cooldown period. Because Google Nest attempts to send you the right number of alerts at the right times, the camera will trigger a short cooldown period each time a notification is sent.

The only issue is that it keeps disconnecting to wifi if it's not connected to the house..

This Google Nest Doorbell is the best of the bunch. This offers hardwire or battery power which is a great feature. 4 stars for price. Would reccomend
