I was having issues with the router from my internet provider. I had too many devices connected to my network and it causing problems with my connection.
After buying this router I had no issues. I love the features the home app adds as well. Being able to prioritize a certain device to make sure it has a strong stable connection is awesome!

Works well as advertised. Much much faster than the previous generation Google wifi. Google wifi couldn't even run my system of cameras and smart items. This router is ok, I bet there are better, faster ones out there. But it does what it is supposed to.
One downside is it doesn't have a USB input for having a cloud storage option through the router.
Otherwise the app is decent.

I have 200 mbps from spectrum, the wifi modem they provided is just sad. I bought this and once I set it up I went from having 15 mbps in my upstairs to having 160 mbps.
Only thing, the setup was a little slow. I do wish it was more plug n play, but none the less it was worth it.

I had a nighthawk wifi6 but it kept dropping connection on some of my devices and it cost a lot more than Nest WiFi. So I bought two of these instead of one and a point so that I could use Ethernet to connect the mesh network together instead of wirelessly and I am getting better results than the far more expensive nighthawk.
Highly recommend

This WiFi rider was easy to set up. It is backwards compatible with the previous-generation but was a little tricky to set up. There was no instructions saying that you have to do a factory reset on the previous generation before trying to connect to the Google Nest router. After set up the Google Nest Wifi router and all points work great.

Great mesh router. I bought 3 routers(*not* points) All 3 are wired to do Ethernet backhaul I’m getting full internet speed anywhere inside the house. Beware if you use wireless points your internet speed will be cut into half near the points. Google “wired Ethernet backhaul” if you are not familiar with this feature

The Google Nest Wi-Fi is pretty good and easy to set up and use. The only complaint is that you can't set up a Wi-Fi network for a specific frequency like mywifi2G or mywifi5G. The Google Nest Wi-Fi balances the frequency for you and doesn't matter what frequency you are.

Brand response from Nest Support
Posted .
Hi Wilson, thanks for the feedback you provided about your experience with using the Nest Wifi, and we’re glad that you find it pretty good and easy to set up and use. Nest Wifi uses the Band Steering feature to guide your connected devices based on their capabilities, and attempt to select the band that will deliver the best performance. Both frequency bands are active simultaneously and Nest Wifi keeps it simple by automatically choosing the band that gives the best Wi-Fi connection. Every wireless device is different and has its own rules (factoring in signal strength, congestion, etc.) to select the best band. So it’s possible that your phone connects to the 2.4 GHz band, while your laptop connects to the 5 GHz band. Ultimately, your device will decide which band it will use to connect.

Easy to install with proper and easy to understand directions. I've used this product for 5 months without any issues and have been able to completely control it remotely and monitor it via my laptop. It provides me with excellent Wi-Fi signal across 2000 sq ft space where I stream HD on multiple devices. I highly recommend it!

Worth getting at least one. I have a 1440 sq foot house, not including basement, and it covers the whole building. I may add more repeaters in the future to reach my garage. Also super fast. I have Xfinity 100 Mb service and can download about 50gb in less than an house over wifi with two apple tvs streaming HD

Other router companies could learn from the simplicity and easy install. Had a Linksys before and the setup and interface was a nightmare. It felt like you had to be a high level programmer to figure it out. The Google nest WiFi is simple and easy to set up and even more simple to modify/service.

I love it! I do get some unstable signal sometimes but it is probably due to the internet service provider. This router can suck a bit more megabytes per second than your ISP is willing to give you. If you don't want to get cheated, get a powerful mesh router like this one. Be careful what modem you are pairing it with. It is a powerful water and deserves a suitable modem.
