Even at 25 mbps, it’s much needed accessory

I wouldn’t really call it an accessory at this point as we rely on it so much! It helps take off the workload on the modem (which I turned the wi-fi off of). All of us here in the house have our own TVs and when we watch all the time, if not for this, it would have been a pixelated experience. I honestly love this thing. It makes my life easier, and for all the family as well. My little sister now has to have class all day and while she does it online, I can watch and not bother her connection. I’ve noticed that the max mbps for each device is about 17mbps which is very much enough for what each of us here deserve the first time around. I’m less angry at our local internet service because without this, the experience with them will continue despite our hate with it.
Now there are additional accessories to further extend the wifi but our little one story house is enough for just this wifi router. If you have a bigger home, and many more users (more than 6 people like us) spread out, you can test if this one router can reach anyone without a problem. For gamers, I think the ethernet is your best bet if you do PC gaming. But for console gaming, I do not find it bothersome as the constant fast connection is enough.

Very easy to set up via the Google Home app, even on an iPhone :)
I have 3 of the routers working together in a 3 floor 3,800 sq.ft. home and the coverage and the speeds are excellent! If you can find them on sale, I would highly recommend setting up routers as access points, instead of using access points, which are slower.

My Netgear Nighthalk 2300 just started dropping Internet. Went out Wednesday- I fussed with it for a few hours with no luck. Ordered the Nest AC2200 from BB. In meantime the Netgear got Internet back. Decided to be safe and switch to NestAC2200.
Set up was a breeze. Setup required a reboot of both Modem and AC2200 for router to see modem and internet. After that, easy peasy. My 8 port switch connected fine to AC2200. All wired connections working. Have 2 story 1500 sqft townhome. No difference in speed - right next to router vs farthest point on second floor. Wifi speed same as Netgear 5ghz. Wired 230 mb down, Wifi bit less 210 or so.
Cant comment on reliability-just got it. As for appearance (no antennas, smaller), easy setup, same high speed previous router, I’m pleased with purchase

Great WiFi Mesh System

I am a Comcast customer and decided to stop renting their Modem/Router, and purchase my own. After purchasing a NETGEAR Modem, I purchased the Google Nest WiFi with 2 points. After installing it, and after consulting with Google tech support, I returned it and purchased 2 Google Nest Wifi Routers. My issue was that the points din't have an ethernet port, and we realized that I needed another ethernet port to plug in my security camera DVR. The system was very easy to set up, and Google tech support was outstanding. The mesh system is seamless. I have excellent WiFi coverage in every part of my house now. Additionally, my download speeds increased dramatically, from about 86 Mbps to over 500 Mbps. I am very happy with my purchase, and would highly recommend this product.

Google Nest Wi-Fi Router: A Customer Review

Google Nest Wi-Fi router is easy to setup and ergonomically attractive taking very little space. Wi-Fi coverage for my 1000 soft condo was adequate and didn’t need an additional node. The firmware update is automatically performed. You have the choice to select WPA3 security. I have very little connected devices and can’t comment on ease of operation. I purchased this a month ago and how well it protects against cyber/hacker attack needs investigation. Wish there was a standard for this as well as interoperability of connected devices with any make of Wi-Fi router will help reduce the cost and offer more features to the customer. The router app is better in terms of layout and functionality than that of two other manufacturers that I tried before setting on this. So far I am happy with my purchase and never had to call Google. Unlike other Wi-Fi routers this has only one Ethernet port to connect devices.

I was relunctant to purchase this because of the price, but after reading the reviews and plugging it in, I am totally happy. This reaches all corners of my house and it works flawlessly. It is easy to set up within a few minutes. Have not had a single problem.

I have spectrum Wi-Fi on a 400 mbit/s plan. This is able to exceed that. So usually I get speeds of 50 mb/s on downloads which is faster than I ever had. I am using a 16 inch MBP most of the time. So that aspect is great. I might upgrade to fiber and this is supposed to be compatible with that.
I have it in the center of my 1100 sq ft apartment and it keeps the high speeds throughout the whole place. It's super easy to set up on the Google Home app. I had an Apple Airport Extreme before this which is also easy set up, but the speeds on this are way faster. That router would also drop the connection frequently, but haven't had this issue with this. It also looks nice. I have in inside one of my TV stand cubes below the display and it looks like a futuristic piece of tech. Although it is expensive for a router, it still gets 5 stars because it does everything I want in a router, looks nice, and is super easy to use.

Very easy to use mesh wifi system. Among the wifi 5 mesh system, this is one of the pricier ones. It could be worthwhile if you enjoy great google software and are already invested in the google ecosystem. Its also one of the better looking mesh system.

The best Wireless Router I’ve ever Owned.

My pervious WiFi was horrendous with my old wireless router. So bad in fact that I resorted to doing a hotspot on my phone just to get decent connections even for simple things like emails.
So I opted to buy a new router. I did a whole bunch of research on which would be good and was going to buy the bundle pack with this Router and a “Point” but the Best Buy Dude told me the specs of the coverage and only one is what I needed.
Set up was easy with the app and I was up and running within 15 minutes. The WiFi speeds this router is giving exceeds everything I imagine.
I’m running 2 computers, 2 phones and a tablet at any given time with no drops or buffering. Now I can load up some Netflix or YouTube and procrastinate the rest of my life away.

Nice design, Easy use, Easy connection, Easy mesh configuration, Fast enough for most of family.
But no fancy function for high end user.
I'm still judging how stable this is(the most important point for me). Just have 1 reset so far.

Works better as a Point than the Points themselves

I purchased this to replace a Nest Wifi Point that we had upstairs in our home in the hopes of just adding 2 ethernet ports to aid with my connection working from home. What I found was that, not only did I gain 2 ethernet ports in my home office, but the connection and speed were substantially better than the Nest Wifi Point I was using previously upstairs. For anyone wondering, I can confirm that, when you use the Routers as Points, both of the ethernet ports allow you to connect devices directly to the Router itself. Obviously, if you need more connections than that, you'd need to incorporate a switch.

It worked fine out of the box and fixed my range and speed issues when going through extenders or using a bunch of stuff at once. It updates itself and it is dead simple to setup, while also being extremely fancy and high tech. It even looks good!

Great if you have an existing Google Wifi network

Way better than the original Google Wifi. I only got the Nest Wifi router and paired it with my existing 3 Google Wifi points and got speeds 2-5x faster all over, including on my old Google Wifi points. I actually had 2 additional google wifi points that I used to run but they were made redundant because the coverage of the Nest Wifi router was so much better. I would definitely recommend this if you have an older Google Wifi mesh network. No need to change out all the old Google Wifi points, just add the router.
One star off because I had to factory reset my network and all the nodes individually to make the new Nest Wifi router the primary point. Also it doesn't have WiFi 6 which would have been nice even though right now only my phone and tablet support it.

My old router was starting to periodically drop the signal and require multiple restarts, so I gave in and purchased this one. It set up very quickly, with no problems. After two months I have not had to restart it once, and with two high school students using it for distance learning, and my daily zoom meetings for telecommuting, we have had no lag or crashes. I love the ability to identify devices and create groups in the app so I can turn off signal to any device or group I choose to manage traffic (and teenage behavior! :) ) The single router covers my entire house (1500 sq ft) with no problems.

My old wifi had 3 range extenders (so 4 discreet wifi networks), and still had pathetic signal in some parts of the house. I switched to Google WiFi, and now a mixed Google/Nest WiFi setup, and love it. Strong signal everywhere, even in the front and back yards. Very simple setup, though I wish the app offered a little more control, as advanced options.
If you have things that need to be hard-wired (like my printer) to the network, the router offers a port for it. I've added a 6 port switch, so I can have multiple things wired. It gets a security update regularly, to watch for common exploits and protect your setup. Expensive, yes, but I think it's worth it.
