Everything was a SNAP, couldn't be more pleased.

I was very surprised to have everything be so simple and then have so much trouble with one function; syncing Outlook calendar with this Google calendar. Support was not knowledgeable until my third attempt and finding the right person who asked someone else for help. I synced my Outlook calendar to a new Google Calendar on my PC and sync my Nexus Calendar to the new Google calendar. Now I couldn't be more pleased!!!! I had a new Samsung Galaxy tablet and returned it for this Nexus 7 , better resolution, better camera and twice the memory for only $8.00 more. Better deals don't come offend.

    Awesome Tablet

The Google Nexus 7 (2nd gen) is a great tablet. Using the Android OS makes it easy to use and upgrade. My only complaint is that there is no expandable memory slot. I purchased it primarily for school use, but couldn't resist jumping on the play store to see what is available. If you use Google Chrome as your browser at home the chrome browser on the tablet will show any bookmarks and most visited sites when you log in. Overall a great tablet for the price.

    Great small tablet.

This is great for a 7 inch tablet. Way better than I expected. I only wish there was a better stylus to use. It seems only the Samsung Tab has a useful stylus, but it's bigger and way more expensive. I use the Nexus 7 to read papers in pdf format. I can hold the Nexus with one hand and take notes with the other hand. I can't figure out how to take notes on the pdf that I'm reading, nor do I have options to customize the viewer of the pdfs. I can't compare to any other tablets, because this is the first one I've had, so i expect the problems I have are similar on other small tablets.

I am an Apple user primarily and this is my first Android in many years (since my daughter's first Google Phone years ago with T-Mobile.) However, I thought it was time to try it again and my youngest daughter wanted an Android based option for a few aps her friends had she couldn't get on the Apple iPad. The Nexus is the perfect size IMHO but my wife would say it is still a bit too large for one handed use. I like the magazines especially on the device and several aps actually perform better (granted I am now two generations old on my iPad). For the price - it is a great machine. I use airplay a lot around my house though, so this is a major setback for me, but it's getting closer.

Great tablet overall, good value for your money, and comes with the latest Android OS. Fast and efficient. Great sound quality, and the screen isnt that bad. The only drawback is that i wish it comes with a Micro SD card reader, to expand memory.

Broke my first nexus 7 because the screen cracked. Originally paid $230 and they went on sale for $199 so I purchased another one. The tablet is great if your on a budget and don't mind not having a Sd card slot for extra storage. Its very fast and the resolution is great. Just make sure and buy a case because the tablet is very fragile. YouTube *nexus 7 drop test* and you'll see what I mean. Make sure and get a case for it if you travel with it everyday like me.

The Nexus is a reasonably priced tablet that quickly allayed my fear of getting used to a tablet. It's so easy to set up and use. I was surprised at how many free apps were available and I've been having loads of fun without having to buy anything else. The display is brilliant. The tablet seems sturdy and I expect it to last a long time.

If you need a tablet and don't need a behemoth like a fUllman sized iPad or Galaxy Tab, this is the tablet for you. Fast, simple, beautiful to look at, the Nexus is an absolute job to work with. One of the great things is that this tablet will always be ready for the next version of Android as soon as Google has it available.

My Nexus 7 (2013) works great and fun to use. Best Buy did the initial setup for me and made sure I knew how to turn it ON and OFF before I left the store. I am not a "techie" so I went to Barnes and Noble and got a "Nexus 7 for Dummies" book. I also downloaded a FREE book from the Google Play store on how to use the Nexus 7. The picture and sound are GREAT for the price --- I spent the entire month of December researching and comparing - was going to get the Samsong 10.1 Note but I bought the Nexus 7 for less than half the money and very happy I went with the Nexus 7.

We have an older Nexus and now this newer edition. There are some good improvements! Especially the screen. My wife and I were both trying to read at the beach a few weeks ago . . . she had to put a blanket over her head to shade the older Nexus so she could read. I had the new one was able to read without extra shading. Big improvement! I also like the quickness of what it does and quality of the images on the screen. As time goes by, I will tap more of its abilities and perhaps find some problems, but so far, I've downloaded several books, added apps, etc. and am very happy!

I've only had this tablet for a month and so far I recommend it. Early on, I had an issue with it scanning and not finding WiFi signals. After turning it on and off a few times, it did pick up the one I was looking for. Also, when I first started using the tablet, it glitched/froze a couple times during heavy download/app use but haven't had any issues since. Otherwise, it operates quickly and has some cool features including panoramic picture taking. 16 Gb is also sufficient space for everything I'd need and battery life is solid. The only thing I wish it had was a separate HDMI out port outside of the main micro USB charging port.

Absolutely love this tablet! I own an iPad 2 also. Both tablets are good quality tablets. I prefer the Nexus over the iPad because the screen resolution is outstanding and it's size makes it easier to hold. The cheaper price tag was nice too. I have my Nexus tablet setup to use as a phone via the talkatone app, which works great for a secondary while my cellphone is charging. Netflix never looked so good! Chromecast works great with this tablet too. One more thing..... You can setup multiple users on this tablet with user restrictions. The iPad 2 is now the kids tablet....

It's an Amazing Tablet. Better than the Kindle fire HD which I have and I don't use any more because its freezes a lot after 3 months of having the kindle fire HD, its started messing up. But not My Google Nexus 7 its amazing. I Love it. Its like a little super fast computer in the palm of your hands with a lot of amazing features.

The Nexus 7 (2013) edition is an excellent upgrade to the 2012 edition of the Nexus 7. The form factor is improved (less wide) and the screen is a amazing clear. The internal processor upgrades make the device very snappy. Only issue I have is the report GPS searching issue. There are work arounds and Google knows about the problem. I hope a future software update fixes the issue.

My daughter wanted a tablet and this came highly recommended. She loves it! She uses it for school - project research, definition look ups, etc. She enjoys being able to "talk to it" and have it return results. She also uses it for games and email. One thing - if you are playing around with the settings, DO NOT set up the Talk Back feature unless you need it. My daughter accidently set it up and we couldn't get it to stop. We had to go back to Best Buy and get it reset to factory. Luckily this was early in the ownership so we didn't have much set up yet.

You simply can't find a better deal. The pure Android experience on a 7" device for only $230. Blazing fast and high resolution screen. The quad core processor really performs. Not point in spending $500 on a 10" device that when watching a 16x9 video displays almost the exact same size.

I picked this up through a Christmas time deal for $199. My wife was using a resistive touch, single core tablet with <1GB of memory. The responsiveness and clarity of the screen are great, and the battery lasts much longer than the previous tablet's ever did. Lightweight so holding it while watching a few episodes on the Netflix doesn't give you cramps. Haven't really done any super processor heavy things on it, but it hasn't dissapointed yet.

I've had the Nexus 7 on my wishlist for quite some time now. Finally got one and I'm glad I did. The 7" screen is great for browsing and reading, much better than my iPhone. While not the latest and greatest, still powerful and useful. I use it mainly for web browsing and reading, but paired it with the Minisuit Keyboard case and MS Office apps for the quick work I may need to do on the run. I love the Android OS and Google will push the 5.0 update to this device. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a smaller tablet.

Much improved over the 1st gen Nexus 7

I upgraded from a 1st generation Nexus 7. Much has improved: screen resolution, dual speakers, lighter weight, faster processor, etc.. Although the battery size is smaller, I am getting good duration between charges - better than my old Nexus 7 anyway. Screen responsiveness varies from very good to not so good. I think that is more an android OS issue than the hardware. Usually rebooting the tablet fixes that. I am glad that I upgraded.

Bought this to replace an old HP TouchPad since rooted and running KitKat. The TouchPad is thick and heavy, so its hard to travel with. The N7 is the perfect replacement... fast, light, and small enough to use with one hand. Prefer it to iPAD Mini and just about any other tablet. Priced well, and should become even more affordable when the N8arrives... but to be honest, I think I would prefer the ASUS N7 over the HTC buildt N8. BYMMV. Great product... and great buying experience from the Best Buy Mobile store in The Woodlands Mall.
