I'm extremely satisfied with the new Pixel Pro 10 XL. After 12 years using Iphone I was a little bit concerned about moving on but it definitely worths and was much easier than I expected. Now I'm buying a new phone for my dad and it will be another Pixel for sure.

I've spent a week with the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and it has been a good experience. I've switched back and forth between Android and iOS devices for many years now, with my most recent mobile phone experience being with a folding device made by a competitor. The phone itself is beautiful. My sample was in the obsidian color, and the phone has substantial heft and feel. However, it is as thick as my old folding phone, and it feels heavier than it, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. But I love that the external camera is centered across the top back of the phone, instead of with competitors where it is often stowed to one side or the other of the phone and creates an issue with resting the phone on a surface.
The display is quite nice and very bright. 3300 Nits of peak brightness on a 6.8" display (Super Actua, up to 120 Hz refresh rate) is impressive. Super Actua displays are typically much brighter than AMOLED, and it shows with the Pixel 10 Pro. One of my favorite aspects of this screen is the ability to register and use a fingerprint on the screen. On my old foldable, I had to use the power button on the side, and it is just awkward. Kudos to Google for putting a fingerprint reader right on the screen to make things easy.
Nowadays, all cell phones come with excellent cameras and the Pixel 10 Pro is no different. 42 MP front shooter, 50 MP main, with 48 MP Ultrawide and Telephoto lenses. Pictures looked amazing no matter the light or subject material.
My phone came with 256 gigs of memory and 16 gigs of RAM. Both were more than sufficient for my use. And in use, the phone was snappy, powered by the Tensor G5 processor and plenty of RAM. The majority of my phone use was internet browsing, messaging, video streaming and social media perusing. No issues whatsoever. Battery life held up without issue, and I was normally well above 50% at the end of the day.
It was a little bit of a learning curve moving from a highly customizable UI on my old phone to Google, but it only took a day or two. Swipes are different, finding things like the settings is different, and there are no pre-built customizable themes for sale on a Themes app like with my foldable phone. I did kind of miss those, as I have purchased a handful of cool themes for my other phone that I enjoyed using.
I also like how available cases and screensavers are for the Pixel. I was able to get a case and screen protectors almost immediately, whereas on my fold phone it took a couple weeks to get one I liked that worked the way I needed.
Overall, I am pleased with the Pixel 10 Pro XL, and give it an easy 5 stars.
