I have had Apple, Samsung, and Google phones. The speakers aren't the best but the camera makes up for that. It takes the best pictures I have ever seen on a phone.

This is my first Android phone and I'm very pleased with the switch. The Pixel 3XL actually transferred the majority of my apps so that the switch was fairly seamless. I did have to log into my various accounts, but no big deal. A few of my special apps for photography did require a new subscription. Photo transfer is easy via either my Free Google Drive account on gmail or by enabling the USB for file transfer. Pictures are outstanding unless you try to zoom to max: while the AI delivers a pleasing picture, the details look a bit like a painting (which may be good for some users). Night shots are outstanding, as is the motion mode to let the phone or yourself pick the best shot from a series. I did buy the wireless charging stand which charges the phone very quickly and works like a Google appliance and alarm clock. Goodbye, Apple and Mr. Scott!

I am a lifelong photographer and bought this Pixel 3 as the ultimate take-everywhere camera, and it is. Phenomenal image quality. It will destroy a $4,000 camera and lens. It's that good.

This is my first departure from Samsung and it was the Pixel 3XL or the Note 9 (which my wife has) and I love it. I love the native Android experience and the ease of use with the new Pie OS. It's fast and has NO carrier bloatware which is one of the main reasons I chose this phone. Takes amazing pictures and the new night shot is incredible!

Was worried about hardware not being on par with some of the other major flagships like samsung but I was worried for nothing. The fact that you get a clean stock Android is awesome and makes up for that plus with prioritized updates above other devices, unlimited photo and video at full resolution with best camera and assistant on any Android, there is little room to complain. Screen is great and speakers are loud. Plus the active edge with built in Google assistant is just great!

I mean the phone is great and all but it's the camera that's just amazing. Night sight is magic and photos in general are just too good. I have not taken out the DSLR for last 2 months, I blame pixel 3 :) Phone itself is great too with clean UI, useful Hey Google and fast. It restarts so fast! wireless charging is slow though, probably only negative.

Overheats, random side notch, headset issues

Overheats on Google charger, top notch randomly appears side of screen, Google headphones not recognized plugged in need reboot. Hyped up camera stops closes randomly. I think iPhone takes better pictures. Google customer support is horrible. Would not recommend.

I love this phone. Works well....beautiful screen and gorgeous pictures. But I have one problem....the battery. The minute you start using the phone the battery starts going down. By the time I get home at the end of the day the battery is down to 40% and thats not even 12 hours. Need to have a phone with a good battery that takes me through at least 24 hours...too bad...as I said I really like the phone.

Let me say that I've had a Samsung since the first Galaxy phone released and figured I'd never look back. I upgraded from the Galaxy Note 4, after owning since launch date and swore I'd keep that phone until it literally stopped working. I didn't want to let go of the removable battery, IR blaster and microSD card. I almost bought the new S10+ or Note 9, however the early reviews of the S10 said that the picture quality still wasn't beating the Pixel, even with all of the cameras. If you are a camera junkie, this phone not disappoint. The night side mode takes stunning pictures that you'd need a DSLR on a tripod to take otherwise. I average about two days on a charge and. The notch does not bug me, in fact I didn't even notice it after 20 minutes of use. I find zero limitation with the 4gb of RAM, however I am not a power user. The headphones that come with this phone rank up with my Bose in ear headphones. Also, the data transfer cable was legit, it moved about 60gb of data from my Note within 13 minutes. Lastly, I love the Android UI on this and the Google photos. Very happy! I'll upload two unedited photos I've taken.

After 2 years with my original pixel XL I upgraded to the Pixel 3 XL. The notch situation isn't really an issue once you use the phone for a few days. The screen has great picture and color. The speakers sound pretty amazing for a smart phone. The camera is insanely good for a phone. I haven't had any issues with performance of any kind.

I purchased the Pixel 3xl to replace a Samsung S7 edge. I chose the 128 gb version as this phone does not have an SD card slot. Very happy with the performance. Very fast, much better sound then the S7 edge. The camera is also first class. If you are looking for a new phone, please consider the Pixel. PS you also get unlimited uploads at full resolution to Google Photos as well as 3 years of timely software updates.

With this phone you get Android (currently 9.0) without any add-on UI elements such as you would get with Samsung. The camera is currently peerless as an overall capability due to quality of images and video, as well as the software intelligence of Motion mode, smile detection, digital zoom on the front facing camera, and more. It, like all modern phones, should be protected by a case. I am using the Google Pixel 3XL factory case and it works great - see my review on the case itself for more details. I purchased it with $150 in incentives which made it a very good deal relative to other options I had at the time - but let's be honest, if you want an unaltered Google experience, this is the only real choice. The camera alone makes it a clear choice over the Pixel 2. Battery life is acceptable; plan on charging mid-day if you are a heavy user.

Fast, incredibly user friendly, and a camera that beats the pants off my iPhone X. This is the only phone I recommend to friends and family looking to go Android, and all I usually have to do is show them a photo taken by it to convince them. Also, Google Assistant is way more helpful than Siri or Bixby (is that still a thing? @@@@@@@ and the accessories like the Pixel Stand turn my phone into a mini Google Home when I dock it. Wireless charging is very fast with it as well. I love this phone. I always have at least two phones, but this is the one that is most frequently in my hand.

Compared to the old Android I had, this phone is light years ahead. The camera quality is amazing, of course, but it also includes assistant options to make your photos look even better. I also appreciate that the phone's operating systems don't take a lot of space. The phone sound is equally impressive. It sounds as if the person is right there in the room. However, if I chose speaker option on the phone for amplification, the person on the other end has difficulty hearing unless I have the phone right up to my mouth. Additionally, I know there are apps for this but the phone itself doesn't have many ringtone options... just mentioning things that I have appreciated on my phones. An overall YES to this phone!

My Favorite Phone Ever - My First Google Pixel!!

This is my first Google Pixel phone (my 4th smartphone), and I'm so impressed by it that I'm in love! So far it has to be my favorite phone I've ever had. However, it was the most expensive phone I've ever purchased, which I normally wouldn't pay so much (my Samsung S7 was my second and the Motorola Moto X 2nd Gen Designed by You being my first smartphone/the cheapest that I had only paid $31 total; 1 cent for the phone, $30 to upgrade plus tax). Speaking of price, that's the one thing that was stopping me from buying the Pixel 3/3XL was the price tag, which is unnecessary no matter which version, to be honest. Other than that, I'm so happy with my purchase and I certainly recommend it! I've always had either a Samsung or a Motorola phone - whichever was the cheapest (between 2 flip phones and 3 smartphones over the years with those brands), but this time I decided to splurge and get the Pixel phone because I heard so many great things about it. I'm so glad I made the change! I switched from the Samsung Galaxy S7 (my first Samsung smartphone - in general, my 3rd smartphone). It was time for a new phone, considering the Samsung phone is still in wonderful condition, inside and out, it's just the battery wasn't holding its own anymore and I was constantly charging it between 2 to 4 times a day depending on what I was using it for/how long and always carrying a charger everywhere I'd go. I was so over it. When I was shopping for phones, I was comparing/debating between the new Pixel 3/3XL and the new Samsung 9 Note or even waiting until 2019 for the newest Samsung folding phone, but I always went back to the Pixel (as I desperately needed a new phone; replacing a 3-year-old phone), so I couldn't wait any longer. Between both phones, they both have their pros and cons (no phone is perfect, though if only to combine those 2 together it would be close to perfect), but again, I went back to the Pixel. I love that the Pixel has a lot to offer, and Samsung too (one of the reasons why I hate Apple products - they don't offer much and they're boring to me for such steep prices, in my opinion), but one of the things that drew me into the Google Pixel was the camera; my goodness does it take amazing photos! I've always wanted a phone that could be almost as good as a digital camera, at least for a phone, and I think the Pixel nailed it for the most part (though I'm big on zooming into long distances, so I wish the zoom lens on any phone for that matter would be better). The screen is huge, which I love. I've never had a big screen before, and now I don't think I could ever go back to a small screen ever again, lol. I think the phone is easy to use when you get the hang on the functions/swiping such as I don't even miss the home button. Login onto your phone with the fingerprint reading is fast, and I use it way more than I did on my Samsung. And also I've never cared for it on my Samsung, but I love using Google Assistant, it's very helpful. And the battery is amazing, for now. Let's see if it holds up over time. Some downfalls (besides the price); that notch is an eyesore and huge. I never liked notches, though they don't bother me much now that I've a phone with one, at the same time, that notch is killing me. There has to be some way to work around it. And I hate that there's no headphone jack. Why remove it?? I love the headphones it comes with, don't get me wrong, but they could have kept the jack because it makes it convenient to have while having a type-c charging port. I've had this phone for about a month now and I seriously love it! And I think you will too.
