This is the first time since my first smartphone in 2010 that I didn't get a larger phone than the one before it. And I don't regret it one bit. Not a small phone by any means, the screen to body ratio is great for a non-flagship. It feels snappier than my wife's Pixel 2xl, and it has the amazing Pixel 3 camera. I've started the battery at full each morning and has only dipped below 50% once at night after a day of heavy use. The price makes this the best bang for the buck smartphone I've ever had. Highly recommended!

Upgraded from Pixel to Pixel 3a and I love it

I upgraded to the Pixel 3a after having the Pixel for a couple of years. Coming from a (relatively) older phone, the 3a has been great. I'm impressed with the camera quality and battery life has been acceptable. I've had experience with low quality Motorolas and high quality iPhones, but I think the Pixel 3a is a pretty great phone for it's reasonable price. I can't justify spending $500, $800 or even $1000 on a phone that will be outdated, slow, it's battery shot within a couple years and not to mention at any moment could accidentally fall into the toilet and be ruined forever. I can live with the $330 price for this phone and don't feel like I'm missing out on anything from performance or quality. I'm a bit of a photo snob and this phone gets the job done.

My old phone (Essential PH-1) died and I was in a pinch. I needed to get a new phone fast, but I also needed to get something that was affordable. I decided to get the Pixel 3a because it seemed to give the most phone for the buck at that price range. So far I am very impressed. The OLED screen is very vibrant, you rarely see that on a phone at this price point. The battery life has been good, lasting me the day with moderate use. It has a headphone jack, something I missed on my old phone. It is guaranteed to get at least a couple more years of OS updates, something you definitely won't find on most phones, and the camera is one of the best on the market. If you are budget conscious and need a new phone I would recommend checking out the Pixel 3a.

Got this phone on sale for $299 and switched to Sprint bring your own phone plan. Very fast phone, easy to set up, beautiful camera features, and no added apps you don't need. Add trouble at first uploading old phone SD card photos and videos had to send them to Google photos online. Had to factory restore and used supplied cable and connected to old phone and was a breeze. No more searching for photos online thanks to YouTube. Have been using Blu phones for several years and pain the extra money really makes a difference I would never go back. I love my Google pixel 3A. Battery life is long and charges full in less than 1 hour. Not sure how to replace if it dies since it is sealed which is a downfall.

I got tired of paying the skyrocketing prices for flagships & wanted to try budget phones. I thought that even if this phone was just so-so, I could try a different budget phone & the combined cost would still be less than a flagship. I will not need to go that route, though, as the phone has been excellent! I don't just mean excellent "for the cost". I mean excellent. Period. If this phone has everything you need (no notch, headphone jack!), & you won't mind some missing features (wireless charging, expandable memory) then go with this phone. Don't let the mediocre spec sheet, or perception that lower cost = lower quality fool you. This is a great phone & you will not regret saving the money.

Being older than most users I only use a smart phone for calls, texts, directions and a few pictures. In my belief that smart phones have reached the stage that computers did 10-15 years ago in that for the average person almost all the tasks they want to do can be by mid range or lower cost devices. The flagship smart phones are really only for the power users. The Pixel 3A does everything I want for about half the price of a high end model. I can get by without charging it for 3-4 days. A feature that pleases me greatly. Photos seem to me to be the equal of other higher end phones. Calls come through loud and clear. The only negatives I have is it did not come with a printed manual and is still a little more complicated than I really need

This is my third google phone after 6p and pixel 2XL. This phone is really an awesome step from google with such an unbelievable price. There are only very few differences that I noticed in pixel 3a from pixel 3. Pixel 3a has Snapdragon 670 processor where 3 had 845(I believe). 3 XL has dual front camera, where 3aXL didn’t. 3,2’s had trusted faces setting(literally like a face unlock) 3a’s did not. These are the only few major differences I had noticed thus far. Ohh and the notch of course.

I am loving my Pixel 3a! I've never owned a Pixel before because they're so expensive, so this budget option seemed like it would be a great fit for me. This does not feel like a budget phone at all. I came from a 4 year old Samsung Galaxy so maybe that's why, but the thing that's surprised me the most is how pleasant it is to use. The UI is awesome--so easy and simple to use. The camera takes beautiful photos (this was the feature I really wanted), call quality and the speaker volume is fantastic, the battery lasts all day even when I'm using it a ton (I definitely have to charge it nightly though), and it seems super speedy to me. Thanks to Google for making a new phone that doesn't seem so ridiculously expensive. This phone would make the average human very happy!

I wanted a Pixel phone for the fast updates straight from Google and the world class camera. But was never a fan of the pricing, until now. In my opinion, this is one of the best, if not the best camera phones you can buy for $400 (Plus tax). Headphone jack is back on this device. The Amoled screen is vibrant. The camera is amazing flagship grade camera. Google duplex for answering spam calls is great. And fast 18 watt charging. No wireless charging, but for the price, I can allow it. While it is a plastic body, it does have a premium feel.

I've had it for about a week now. I've owned a lot of phones including some very low (Moto g) and and very high end (s8). Positives: The camera is amazing. It feels very fast when doing most things. The build feels solid (I actually prefer plastic over glass.) The screen is fantastic. I love the small size. Negatives: Image processing and a few tasks would be faster on more expensive phones. No other complaints thus far.

I'm convinced this is the best phone you can get under $400. The camera may be the best among all phones right now and I love that it comes with bare Android and 3 years of updates. Previous LG and T-Mobile phones I've owned were cluttered with unnecessary apps that you can't delete so that was a big selling point for me. The battery is also great lasting me all day and leaving me with about 30% left (I spend about 3 hours each day on a train with constant use). Going from an LG V30 to this phone I haven't noticed any decrease in speed from the smaller processor either. I do recommend a screen protector for this phone because after a few days I started to notice scratches on my screen due it being made of plastic.

I'll keep it short. If you want a great experience and are not concerned with specs, this is the phone. The OS, camera, battery life, display and speed are all absolutely perfect. I have no complaints and I've tried everything! Even the Samsung S10e. A great phone but the experience of this OS vs. Samsung's is definitely better. And the camera is in par with any phone no matter the price.

Did my research and chose Google because: 1. The price point. 2. It will integrate with all my other household Google items. 3. the potential of being able to switch to GoogleFi and drop the expensive cell phone carrier. 4. the size, phones are getting so big. 5. the camera. Wow! This phone is worth the price for the camera alone. There may be a bit of a learning curve if you currently have Apple, but Android users will wonder why they didn't switch sooner.

I can't find a bad thing to say about this phone. I bought it immediately when it came out after hearing about the price point and reading some reviews. My prior phone was a Oneplus One (yes it had to go). I was surprised how seamless the transition was. All my data and apps were transferred in a few minutes. Overall this device is super easy to use, easy to setup and navigate - the search function in settings and the assistant are really useful. Another standout feature is the camera, it really takes amazing photos. My wife now takes pictures with mine instead of her iPhone 7. Also I love how all my photos are backed up so I don't have to worry about losing pictures ever. I don't have any problems with speed, though I don't play games or use a lot of graphics intensive apps. Finally, how can you really complain when the price is half (or even a third) of that of other comparable phones? You might not be getting all the fanciest features but if you don't need them, this is such a good deal. If your an Android phone user you really can't go wrong.

So, a couple weeks ago I busted the screen on my iPhone XR while at work. I checked around several places and the best deal I could get to replace the screen was $200. So I got to looking around and found this phone, the Google pixel 3A. I was slightly skeptical, but I like both Android and iOS. I've never owned a phone with stock Android, so I decided to ignore the online reviews from other companies that compared the two phones, most claiming the iPhone XR is superior. I'm here to tell you that is SO wrong. Especially considering this phone was only $100 more than repairing my iPhone XR that already had issues (bad cell signal, dropped calls, poor wifi connectivity). And I'm so glad I made the switch! This phone is faster, I've had zero issues, and it's got a great camera! I also really love the battery life, even after playing games on it and scrolling through social media and news articles through the day, plus calls and messages; I still end up with more than a day before I have to charge it! My only complaint is the screen doesn't get quite bright enough in direct sunlight. It's not a big deal, it could just stand to get a tad bit brighter outdoors. I believe I may be a Google pixel fan for life!

I've had this phone for over an year and the rest of my family has jumped on to using the Pixel 3 (bought this for family) in the last few months as well and they could not be happier! the holidays may be a good time to buy considering ;launch of Pixel 4 and discounts being offered. This phone is as good as it comes, has an excellent camera, backed up google for fast updates and using it on Fi network make it even better. I live in a area of poor coverage due to tree lines although around the city and using pixel with Fi def provided better network. They have great plans and since i freq travel abroad, their unlimited high speed data is an excellent perk to have where carriers like sprint have had me pay through my nose.. and the electronic sim on the phone lets me put in a local sim card in countries where i travel without any issues. All in all, i highly recommend it (3 is a great choice if you are on the fence between shelling out for a more expensive 4 while delivering excellent performance). Only issue i have had is, if you use video camera for long periods of time (> 1 or 2 hours continuously) "phone is getting warm" messages might appear, though it rarely shuts down due to this warning.

This phone is in the perfect "sweet spot" of price and performance, providing a smooth, responsive user experience with some key features without costing nearly a thousand dollars. Camera quality is decent, battery life is solid, and really rapid charging means that I hardly ever even think or worry about whether my phone will make it through the day. I honestly haven't been this happy with an Android phone in quite a long time.

I got the 3a after getting tired of waiting on OnePlus to roll out 10 for the 6t. The 3a is a great phone, faster than the spec sheet indicates and pictures that are amazing. The phone is light and easy to use one handed. Set up was a snap. I like the monthly software updates along with the feature drops google started. At 299 it is nearly impossible to cost / feature justify the thousand dollar phones.

There must a be a ton of review out there for this phone, but i can tell you its one of the best phones I've had and its one of the cheapest. Worth it entirely if you like the smaller faster phones. doesn't feel cheap at all even though its build on a cheaper material (so they say) Battery excellent, size and weight very light, display good, camera very good! and if you like google, it has the latest assistant and features

I am a heavy Apple user and have been using an iPhone for years (last one I got was the iPhone 8). However, I got so many issues with Apple that I decided to try the Pixel 3A for being from Google (I like their products) and cheap. I was honestly pretty sure I would not like it and end up buying an iPhone within a few months.... I was wrong! This phone is really intuitive to use and is much more customizable than an iPhone (UI, shortcuts, ...). The cameras work well, the colors on the screen look better in my opinion, and the battery level is actually much more accurate than an iPhone. I wanted the color white but was unavailable for the same day but I actually love this purple-ish color (yes, it's really purplish). The only downside that worries me a little is that the phone is not water resistant but I haven't experienced any problems so far. I love it and I am not switching back! Great phone! :)
