    Worthy Nexus 5X successor

I used to buy the Google Nexus line of phones for the timely updates, vanilla Android experience, at a reasonable price. I didn't consider Pixel phones because they were priced too high. This phone hits the sweet spot on price again.

Granddaughter saved up for this to replace her Moto G4 which was failing. Very happy with it. She'd be on it all day if we let her. Great camera, screen and sound. Battery life is quite good. She's 16 and usually on chat, Youtube Spotify or gaming. Keep it in a Speck Praesidio LTE case bought at Best Buy since her 4 year old step brother is not the best with phones.

Best phone I've owned in a while

This is my third Google phone, with a Samsung 8+ in the middle. Before I got this one, the Nexus 6P was my favorite. I keep returning to Google branded phones because I prefer to skip the extra stuff Samsung (and others) put on their phones. I use Google services for everything, and I don't want pressure to use Samsung's alternative services. So on that front this phone delivers. I'm very pleased with the size. I thought moving down from the Samsung 8+ I'd miss the larger screen (I got the 3a, not the XL). However, I'm finding the screen is fine. Its very crisp, and I'm not having any problems reading or using the smaller phone. Plus, its lighter and fits in my pocket more easily. Performance is good. It loads apps much more quickly than my previously phone. The fingerprint reader is really easy to find and works great without having to pay attention on getting your finger just right. Big improvement here over the Samsung. All in all, an outstanding phone at a great price. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this or buying it again.

I bought this for my daughter when her iPhone broke. We have always been an iPhone family, but no more. Apple has been slowly pricing themselves out of more and more people’s lives. This phone is so good, iPhone X owners are looking at it enviously. Good price, and it even has a headphone jack!

Nice phone but... Video Rec Noise Issues!!

I was so excited when I bought the Pixel 3a. I did so much research before buying like I always do. I had to return it unfortunately as the video recording resulted in an addition of a loud tinny static sound. As a frequent video recorder, this was a big no-no and hence I had returned it. Pros: Small size Great OLED display Great NIght Camera Stock Android. Clean Google Assistant feature and integration with Google was awesome. The trasnfering of data/apps from old phone to new Pixel 3a was a breeze!! Took only 10 minutes!! Key things you should know before buying: There is no notification LED light. No expandable memory slot No FM radio No Corning Gorilla Glass protection Performance might slow down in due course of time There is ongoing issue in some phones where there is a noise (static tinny noise) when you record video. Seems like it is an issue with Google Voice Input. Not sure when it will be fixed. A nice flagship phone at a mid-range price but with some flaws. If you are ok with the flaws, it is a great buy!

The camera is incredible. You can shoot clear images in a shadowy room with this thing. All apps run smoothly and you get quick updates to android since it's a google phone. The phone doesn't have that 'premium' look and feel, but if you are going to stick it in a case anyway, that hardly matters.

This phone has been amazing! Fast I've been taking a lot of pictures and they come out amazing the night pics come out almost flawless it's great. BTW 4 gigs of RAM is plenty and no bloatware. Due to cloud storage for pics and videos I'm not even close to using 50% of the 64 gigs of storage.

I have a pixel and my wife liked so much, I got this one for her. The pixel is a great phone. It has most of the pixel 3/4 perks at a much cheaper price. The Google call screening is wonderful. The pure nature of android without the scrap that other vendors put on the phone is refreshing. I just wish it had wireless charging.

I've been using the Google Pixel 3a since I purchased it and am just really happy with it. The camera is really important to me, which often is a hurdle in expensive phones. With the 3a, the camera quality is spectacular especially the night mode. So far, I'd highly recommend this.

I bought this phone, and since I bought it seems to passively drain battery regardless of screen time. If I leave it unplugged from the time I get home, to the time I go to bed it is nearly out of power entirely. I am on the newest release of android (Android 10) with all my apps full updated. A bit disappointing that it drains so quickly even with nothing other than passive OS operations, but it DOES last the full day with moderate-heavy use at this point in time without needing a charge. On the plus-side, this phone is supposedly much easier to repair than previous releases of the Pixel, so when the battery inside inevitably goes bad in two years, I can probably replace it on my own. And hopefully it does not have the same microphone issue that the OG Pixel and Pixel XL had, which were the reason behind my purchase.

I wanted to go to a smaller handset and this one is an improvement. The price along with the fact that it's a Google phone made it an easy transition. I can't say that I see extreme improvement in any particular areas, but, overall I'm satisfied and would recommend it to my Android friends.

this was bought to replace a 1st generation pixel phone that had become a brick. Pluses of the 3a are that the unlocked phone has a minimum of bloatware, a headphone jack and a reasonably decent size that is only a tad smaller than the original pixel. battery life is decent. Overall, a good buy without spending a fortune on a flagship phone.

My first Google phone. It was easy to figure out coming off Samsung. The camera is great. The basic OS is refreshing, bloatware is non existent. The colors in the streaming apps are not that great but hopefully they will fix that. Bottom line great value for the money.

Just the type of phone I was looking for, not expensive like flagship phones but with everything I need on a phone. Phone is very responsive even though it runs 670 processor. Battery life is decent. Finger print sensor is very responsive. Camera is very good. Great phone for the price.

The Google Pixel 3a is a top notch phone with many features, such as a high quality camera, fast speed, and ease of use. It only took me a few hours to get used to the new layout after switching from an iPhone, and it’s very fun to use the features on the phone after learning about them.
