Its the Pixel 3's baby brother. Headphone jack is back! Same camera as Pixel 3!
No wireless charging, slower processor, not water resistant --that's OK with me for the reduced price compared to the big boy.

Had the phone for 2 years, only had an issue once where the screen was not responding to touch. Phone was under manufacturer warranty so we got it fixed for free, there was a loose screw. Other than that loved the camera quality, battery life gave an accurate time when phone would die depending on usage. Google has extra features towards phone so that was a plus. Screen was a good size. For the price we paid, it was worth every penny.

I'll be honest...I bought this phone because of the camera. I wanted something that took really amazing flagship Samsung/iPhone quality pictures without the price. This phone does that. The Night Sight setting is absolute magic, and every other photo setting is amazing. I took some photos of a nephew's birthday which took place during a power outage. All we had were a few candles. The pictures were incredible...not at all grainy, with great color. Everyone else who took photos of the same event had them come out grainy and difficult to see. If you can't get a good picture with this phone, you won't be able to on any phone, regardless of the price.
As for everything else, it's a great phone. Very good speed, solid phone/voice quality. I typically use it all day and still have 40-50% of the battery remaining. The the automatic Android updates from Google are really great...this phone gets them before anyone else.
The ONLY major negative comment i would have is the 64GB of in-phone storage space without any SD card option is a bit small. I don't have a ton of apps, but I'm at about 85% full. If you don't mind cloud storage only for photos, you'll be completely fine.
But you may want to consider something else if you use a lot of apps. Too bad this doesn't have a micro SD card option.

A perfect budget phone from Google. I was so excited with the announcement that I bought it on the very first day. Before the launch of 3a I was looking at Pixel 3. When I went through all the specs and configuration I knew that this is going to be my next phone.
My Ratings;
Camera: 9/10, (Sometime you wish camera has his own mind. But 90% of the times it delivers to expectation)
Screen: 8/10 (Amazing and great Value for Money)
Phone Body: 7/10 (You can feel the difference in material between Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a)
Performance: 8/10 (Have used it almost for two weeks now and not once it has lagged or slowed down so its amazing. Mind you, its not a light use I almost have 135 apps on my phone and most of the time they are active so I am very happy with the performance)
Battery Life: 9/10 (No complains here)
Overall Rating 9/10
Perfect and delivers what is promised. Great value for money.

I don't have issues with this phone. It has worked perfectly good since i purchased it. It doesnt lag, the speakers for movies and music are amazing and loud. if you watch films or videos it consists of two speakers on top and bottom of the phone that when you watch on landscape mode it gives the best sound. It's as loud as a television. I have had my family walk into my room and comment saying they thought i was watching my tv and it was the phone. Sound is crisp and clear. the image is great quality too. Phone calls audio is great, and speaker too. unlike other smartphones that are considered "Flagship phones" and speakers suck. battery lasts the perfect time too. i can use it all day and battery won't start dying until i have to go to bed. No need to leave phone plugged in at night for battery to charge, it charge quick and battery stays almost full over night. Love the product. The downside about the phone is just google customer service, They will help with technical issues, but when things get serious, just like the rest of the companies, they shut the door in your face and refuse to help with serious issues. But as long as you treat your phone good, it won't have any issues. I mean it, this phone is the first smartphone i have owned that hasnt given me any problems.

Owned this phone for almost a year now and it's still great. I don't play any games on my phone, so I can't comment on that, but for everyday use this is a great phone for a great price. There are some tradeoffs - not waterproof, no wireless charging - but the good vastly outweighs the bad. Amazing camera, great battery life, and a headphone jack!!

The Pixel 3a is probably the best phone I have ever owned. It is comfortable to use in one hand, has a great battery life, and the best camera you can get on a phone. After using Google's take on Android I can't go back. The call screen feature is great. It is so awesome to force spam callers and telemarketers to speak to a robot.
This phone is amazing at any price, at $399 it is phenomenal. The only downsides is the phone does not have an IP rating and the mid-range chip can have issues with the most demanding games. For everyday use though, it flies. Unless you are using it next to a flagship phone, you will never know the difference. It feels great to get an amazing phone with Google and the best camera at a fraction of the price phone manufacturers are asking for flagships. There is absolutely no reason to spend $750-$1,000+ on a phone with the Pixel 3a.

Background: Previously owned an unlocked Google / LG Nexus 5x. After ~38 months of mostly trouble-free use, that phone suddenly went from fully operational to paperweight in a period of 5 minutes. HOWEVER, a local fixit shop had replaced the battery about 6 months earlier, so it is possible that triggered the failure. REGARDLESS, I was planning to replace the Nexus 5x by the end of 2019; I just had to speed up my timetable.
I mostly use a smartphone for e-mail, reminders, light web browsing, and a relatively small number of apps. My voice call and text use is very light; I use an inexpensive prepaid ($10/90 days for 200 minutes/texts) MVNO which in turn uses the AT&T cell network. I specifically wanted an Android phone which received regular updates, as the Nexus did for most of its life. A "stock" user interface would also be nice. Several phones using the new "AndroidOne" variant were good possibilities. The Google Pixel 3 (without the "a") was a terrific phone, but I was not willing to spend that much. Long story short, the Pixel 3a came to market at just the right time, it had excellent professional and user reviews, and the price was right, especially with the limited-time e-gift card, which was effectively a $100 rebate.
Having used the Pixel 3a for about 6 weeks now, overall I am very satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised at how much faster it was than the Nexus 5x, but I guess that's to be expected with up-to-date CPUs. My preferred apps all run fine. (NOTE: I do not play games so I have no idea how well or poorly they will run.)Luckily, I regularly backed up the Nexus settings to the Google cloud. I was able to restore most of those with minimal difficulties, especially since the Nexus would not even turn on.
After inserting my SIM, my carrier recognized the phone and I could make calls and texts. Cellular data settings (APN) were not automatically set so I had to look those up and set them manually, after which mobile data worked well. I do not take a lot of photos with my phone - usually use a digital SLR camera - but those I have taken look good. Battery life has been quite good. My usage is light and I can usually get away with charging the phone only every other day. I suspect even a frequent user could easily get through 18 to 24 hours.
My one complaint is that the Pixel 3a form factor is taller but not as wide as the Nexus, so I have a bit more trouble with the on-screen keyboard. Had I realized that, I might have spent the extra $80 for the bigger Pixel 3a XL. But, all things considered, I am very satisfied with the 3a. It is an excellent mid-range Android phone.

It is much faster than my Galaxy S5 which served me well for many years. The Pixel 3a is a great price and is simple to use. I love it. I notice facebook and Youtube come up straight away and the battery lasts me all day easily. I was looking at upgrading but did not want to spend a thousand dollars on a phone. With the deal at best buy for 300 it was an easy decision.

This is the phone I have been waiting for. All of extras I want - awesome camera, Google Cloud storage, great screen, long battery life. Sure, there are things it doesn't have - plastic case instead of metal, no wireless charging, not waterproof - but I don't need those anyway. It is a flagship phone without a flagship price.
Oh - and it has a headphone jack!

I’ll keep this brief, if you’re considering this device, just get it. Screen is good, battery is great, build is nice, camera is great, and it has a headphone jack. Performance is great too. I’ve yet to notice any drops in speed or smoothness in the two weeks or so that I’ve had the phone. It’s not blazing fast, but it’s definitely not slow.

If you are looking for a smartphone that runs Android, you better get one from google to make sure you get software updates, especially security updates, on time. No need to pick the most expensive pixel as this one has most of what you need for good price. Excellent camera, vivid screen, good enough processor and all day battery live all for $400!

I love the A Family of Pixel Phones

I love the A Family of Pixel Phones, Google has come up with a series of phones that allows the average consumer to experience the high end phone market without having to compromise on the features list, and at a price point that allows consumers like me to buy my phone outright and not have to subsidize my phone over 24 months.
This was my first Pixel phone and it won't be the last certainly.
Coming from a series of Moto phones, I grew used to the Moto Actions feature and the surprisingly high build quality of the Moto X series. The Pixel 3a is more plastic but not so much that it feels cheap, a basic Otterbox type case and it's just as secure as any phone in my opinion.
Pros:
Camera
Battery Life
Cloud Storage for Photos
Clean Android Interface
Cons:
No Wireless Charging
No Expansion slot for Storage
As a Moto user, no quick gestures (it's a personal thing)

The Pixel 3A is a pretty good phone so far. Good battery life and fast charging. The camera is excellent and app integration is great so far. This phone is the first new phone I've had in 4 years, and I'm happy to say I made the right selection. The feel of the phone is great, almost like premium, but for a fraction of the cost. Great camera, battery life, and a headphone jack (!!). More than worth the price and I can't recommend this phone enough.

I have always been cheap when it comes to buying phones. Because they've all had mediocre cameras, I've usually let my wife take all of the family pictures with her phone (OnePlus 6T). Not anymore - the pictures with the Pixel are amazingly good - especially in low light. See the attached photo of my son at the playground.

Great no nonsense phones from google. stock Android is smooth as butter and just works. Better camera results than $1000 phones. Sure, it doesn't have the fastest processor or waterproofing, but it's less than half the price of the flagship phones. Also it has a headphone jack!

If you are looking to switch from apple to android this would be the phone to go with. The camera on it is better than iphone, it comes with 64gb of storage..its not expandable but you get unlimited storage for photos if you back up your photos to google. It's fast and has a great battery life.
