They also appreciate its affordable price, long battery life, and user-friendly interface. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the limited storage capacity, lack of wireless charging, and choppy speaker audio at high volumes.

I had the Pixel 2XL and it was the best Android phone I had purchased. I decided to wait out the Pixel 3 and that was a brilliant idea. This Pixel 3a XL not only has the best camera, I'm seeing outrageous battery life. I mean 6 to 7 hrs screen on time with 30% battery remaining at the end of the day? Unbelievable! I figured battery would be good due to the 3700 milliamp battery and a bit lesser processor,..but not this good. Very fast, no lag AT ALL, strong performance, great HD screen, back to normal sub $500 price range, no brainier!

The Google Pixel 3a XL delivers enough performance to handle even mid-levels of multi-taking, YouTube video playback, and some games, even with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC. The Android OS software runs very smoothly and has not crashed yet. Among the best features on this phone are the batter life and the camera. The camera on this phone rivals top flagship phones, in my opinion, and is certainly among the best you’ll find on a mid-tier device. I would recommend putting a case and screen protector on the phone immediately, as it scratches easily. Overall, this phone is.a great buy for the money and I would highly recommend it t anybody looking for a decent phone at a (more) affordable price.

My previous phone was a Moto Z Play. I loved the long battery life which would often last two or three days on a charge. For two years it was fairly reliable but always a bit flaky. For example, I would set do not disturb to deactivate after two hours and it would remain active. I also liked that it had a headphone jack and SD card reader. However, using the card as internal memory would slow down the phone to the point where it would take about 20 seconds for the camera to start. Once I set the SD card to external, the phone was fairly reliable. The camera was ok but not great. Pictures tended to be out of focus and grainy especially under low light conditions. I also liked the Moto Z for the mods -although they turned out to be more of a gimmick than a feature. I received the free snap-on projector when I bought the phone, but only used it a few times in three years. Unfortunately, my final year of owning the Moto was frustrating. The battery failed after two years and replacements would only last a few months. After two years of mostly reliable use and one year of frustration, I was reluctant to buy another Moto Z despite the fact that near the end of 2019 they are practically giving the Moto Z phones and Mods away. Why the Pixel 3A XL? It had what I liked about my Moto Z play: good battery life - I get over 24 hours on a charge; modest specs at a modest price point; clean, uncluttered, and up-to-date version of Android (I was able to upgrade to Android 10 right away). The Pixel also has a much better camera than the Moto. Best Buy has both the Moto Z3 Play and Pixel 3A phones right next to each other so I took a picture inside the store with both. The Pixel image was noticably crisper compared with the Moto. When I zoomed in on an appliance display the image taken with the Moto was out of focus and over exposed while the image taken with the Pixel was clear. I could read the writing on some boxes that were across the room in the Pixel image while a large appliance display sign was out of focus on the Moto image. I also liked how the optional florescent lighting feature of the Pixel gave the image a cool blue tone. I'm happy I picked the Pixel 3a XL. I also considered the 3 XL and 4 XL - my older eyes need a bigger screen. The Pixel 4 was about to be released but was more than I wanted to spend. It also lacks a headphone jack and decent battery life. Cutting edge specs, high refresh rate and multiple IR sensors appear to drain the battery of the Pixel 4. I could have gotten a Pixel 3 for about the same price as the 3a, but opted for the 3a mainly because of the longer battery life and headphone jack. Pros: battery life, snappy response, clean up-to-date version of Android, 64 GB of internal RAM without headaches of an SD card. Plastic case may not be as nice as metal or glass, but looks fine and is easy to grip. Camera: Amazing photos, night mode works great. Setup: Fairly straight forward. My Moto Z was dead but most of my photos, contacts, apps and settings were backed up in the cloud. Cons: Placement of volume button causes problem when the phone is placed in an auto cup holder. The volume button gets bumped and volume gets set to a minimum. No other gripes. After a little over a week of ownership, I really love my new phone.

    1. This pixel has a great HD+screen 2. The stereo speakers are amazing they are 100 times better them the One plus 7 pro. 3. The camera is the equivalent of carrying around a professional photographer in your hands at all time. 4. The headphones jack makes it your perfect gym and late night smart TV personal viewing companion. 5. Unlimited free Google photo storage for 3 years. 6. This phone is so amazing not lag all apps stay open the low power processor is used for most high end tablets on the Galaxy tab line they multi task with no problems. NO PROBLEM HAVING SEVERAL APPS OPEN AT SAME TIME!!! At this price people need to be pulled out of the matrix of the cellphone industry and stop overspending for a device that looses 50%value a month later when phone's like this exist. Thank IPhone for starting the Rob everyone trend. I had the One Plus 7 pro for a week and realized how terrible it was and how much company's blind fold use with useless features. Google actually listen and gave us a awesome phone for a quarter of the price. This phone is so amazing. 399 and 479 go out and get this amazing multimedia/photographer beast.

I have a note 9 and was looking into replacing my screen from a drop. walked into best buy checked out the phones and was already looking into the 3xl from last year and now the 3axl was out for half the price. same camera better battery life and amazing screen. yes it has a slower processor but seems faster then my note 9 was. no lag or glitches. everything just works! if you looking for a phone this is the one to get. i was hesitating because of the price point that i would be disappointed buying a phone for half the price of my old note 9 but was i wrong! yes u lose wireless charging but i never have to charge this phone like i used to at work or on the go i went to bed with my phone at 63% battery life still left after using it all day. the charger is so fast also. and being a google phone unlimited photos on cloud are so easy to access and share backed up all pics and vids on google photos and have no regrets.

I'm actually shocked and surprised how good of a device this is. The camera (camera software), is top notched and is one of the best out on the market. Even though this phone does not have the top specs for smartphones, it's still very quick. The battery life is great so far, which is awesome. I'm able to use it all day with normal use, without having to charge the device. I would strongly recommend this device to anyone. It's only drawback and the reason for only 4 stars is lack of expandable storage and the 64GB limit

I've had the original Pixel XL for 3 years, and almost jumped on the 3 when it came out. I didn't want to pay $1k+ again. I was elated when this "midrange" model came out. It's still premium to me, do I miss the 128GB, not with unlimited cloud storage. Same Camera, check! Battery life, check! Headphone jack, YES!!!

In my opinion this is a decent phone for the price. Definitely not a flagship and I would have like either more storage or the ability to expand storage, but at this price it's ok. Camera and battery life are very good. The basic Android OS is very easy to use even coming from an iPhone there wasn't much of a learning curve. If you don't have a lot of money but still want a decent phone this will fit the bill.

I am a nerd at heart so I normally always have 2 phones, a personal, and a work phone that I pay for. I was looking to replace an aging iPhone 6S but since I use a XS Max iPhone as my personal phone I wanted another android phone. Having had several Samsung devices from a S7, S8, and Note 8 plus the original Pixel I knew I wanted to go back to google since I always hated the Samsung interface. Well I wasn’t disappointed. Considering the promotion Best Buy was running I chose the Pixel 3a XL. Honestly despite the price this phone seems just as powerful as any other decent smart phone. Yes it may be plastic but I put everything in a case anyway so it doesn’t matter. The Google assistant is 10 times more helpful than Siri or the Bixby on Samsung. It has a great camera that takes better selfie’s than my iPhone. Overall if you’re looking for a new phone I don’t want to spend a lot of money but want something that is really powerful and you will be happy to own I would pick the pixel. If you have the money you might be happier with the more expensive phone but for what I use it for as a secondary work phone this makes the most sense for me.

Have had the phone for only 2 weeks but I am quite impressed it. It's fast, takes great pics. Not water proof and no wireless charging but I'm pretty careful with my stuff so not a big deal. Battery life is excellent for my use so far. I would definitely recommend this phone.

I was a long time Google Nexus user. I made the jump to OnePlus when the original Pixel came out. With the release of the Pixel 3a, I've decided to switch back. The Pixel 3a XL is reasonably priced and runs like a dream. I've been using it for about a week now & been extremely happy with my decision. As advertised, the photos it takes are amazing. I don't game on my phone - mostly streaming podcasts/music, streaming video, social media & normal productivity apps. It handles it all without any issues. On AT&T, my old OnePlus devices couldn't take advantage of HD Calling or Wifi Calling. Those features worked out of the box for me without any issues.

Got the XL for the 3700 battery, all day is such a relief. Still have the charger at work, but only use it for days I forget to recharge in the evening. The screen is a step up from my last cell and love the always on info. Transferring WiFi passwords was a breeze with Google's help. Same for the apps I used on my old Android, really had no reason to not switch earlier. Had to order a Pixel specific case, can't wait! Local stores didn't carry anything for it. The universal c connector means my old chargers/cables are good to go. Currently using two go to headphones, one wired the other Bluetooth. Love the option, one long life the other loose n free. Getting ready to use the camera, the best one out there no less !!

If you do not need the fastest chipset, wireless charging, Gorilla Glass 5 & a few other extras, you are getting an excellent phone at this price point. PLUS.... you do get a larger battery, headphone jack & pretty much the same camera hardware & software of the more expensive 3XL (missing 2nd selfie front camera). Plastic body looks good (is not as fragile as the glass body of the premium Pixel) and you still get a high quality 6" OLED display panel without that huge cutout/notch! Throw in a BB $100 gift card and it is a steal for $379! No regrets here.....

Let me start this off by saying I love this phone, I am also running a beta version of Android so not all the issues I have will be relevant to you. The Good The oled screen is amazing, all my previous phones have had some type of lcd screen and this is by far a good screen it's pretty big. The Battery life, I can't not tell you how good the battery is on the phone it will easily last you a day of heavy use, I spend easily 3 hours a day of screen time plus probably 4 or 5 of music streaming a day and I'll still have 15-20% left The camera, it's good, if you are into smartphones you know Google has great camera setup The Bad The build quality is okay not great tho, the plastic on the back, well it feels like plastic and it can scuff pretty easy, I'd recommend getting a case and a screen protector Sometimes when the phone is in my back pocket it will activate the squeeze feature and select Google assistant responses, like playing music, calling people, etc Ram, running with only 4gbs in 2019 can be tough but if you're not multitasking or doing gaming you'll be more then fine Overall This is a great smartphone, I would pick this over a OnePlus, I had a Nokia 7.1 before this and this phone (the Google) beats it by far, if your looking for a good quality mid-range phone this is it, I'd say this even beats out some flagship phones, long story short this is great phone.

The Pixel 3a was brought out to give an option of a Google phone that didn't cost $800-1000. It keeps most of the features of its higher-priced sibling, at least the most important ones in my opinion. The back is not glass, but that means fewer fingerprints. It's less slippery and a bit lighter, but you do lose wireless charging. The processor is a bit less than the Pixel 3, but this is still a quick and snappy phone with a beautiful screen. Best of all, it still has the excellent camera that made the Pixel name famous. As a Google phone, it will be kept up to date with the latest pure Android version for three years I think it's a great value and performer.

The Pixel 3A XL is easily one of the best phones ever. Google has hit out of the park with this one. It's unlocked for all carriers, it's fast with updates directly from Google, the camera is amazing, and it has a headphone jack, something that is missing on a lot of phones these days. The Pixel 3A XL is similar to the Nexus phones of old, pure Android with excellent specs at an affordable price. Can't go wrong with the 3A. I will say that the one thing I knock against the phone is that it's only available in 64 GB.

I purchased this phone after having an original Pixel for over two years. I was a bit skeptical after the first phone lost its battery capacity and performance degraded more quickly than I expected, however I have Google Fi and wanted to stick with this phone. For the price, the features are outstanding and I did not want to invest too much. The camera takes solid pictures, the battery life is adequate (so far), and it works as it should. I hope it holds up over time but considering most comparable phones are double the price, it was a good investment to try.

I bought a Moto G7 before I stopped in at Best Buy, bad idea. I had not been in the store in years and was surprised at how many phones they had on display. I needed an unlocked phone and BB had a decent display of them. I chose the Pixel a XL phone. I love the on screen tutorials in Settings, and the many setup options. The fingerprint setup was super easy as well as transfer from my old phone to new one. The camera has many options to choose from for the photos you want to take, plus you can 'google Pixel camera tricks' for more ideas on how to take even better photos by selecting certain options. Love the 6" screen although I want something over 6", but this will work fine. The system runs fast, have had no glitches, hangups or stalls. The picture quality is great. I would have preferred a removable battery but I don't game or watch many movies. The phone lets you select screen colors from Saturated to Natural. I'd suggest going into Settings and opening up each category to set up the phone and select, or turn off, the settings you don't want on. Happy I chose this phone and took back the Moto G7, the Pixel cost a bit more but I'm hoping it's worth it. It doesn't have a glass back but it's not cheap plastic. It's made from another material I read about in a review. The phone doesn't come with a glass back charger, so what's the point of having a cool looking glass back if it might break on you?
